We're off to a patchy start. Dp woke a bit hyper, which always spells trouble. Sure enough dd2 dropped her lunch box by him getting in the car, dd3 was wearing holey trousers, and so they left with ww3 beaking out. I'm getting a bit fed up of his uppy/downyness.

So I am having a bath. Not sure what todays spends will be, hopefully nothing.

Dentist just rang. My Invisalign aligners are ready. Yippee. So I’m picking them up tomorrow instead of next week. Woop. Straight Hollywood teeth here I come (in 80 weeks give or take...)

Have had time to clean the kitchen before work. I do like the flexibility of my job.

Lunch is parsnip soup, carrot and celery sticks with humous, a slice of chicken breast ham type thing and a pulsin bar (they're expensive but I love them and no added sugar).

I've been eating breakfast for two weeks now and it's made such a difference, I'm not longer starving by 10am which means I'm not stopping to buy coffee/snacks etc.

It's a tube into the stomach, the intestine still has to absorb as normal it's just the swallow reflex they've lost.

Catface woke me up at 530. Stepping on my face. Little bugger.

And now there is a car alarm going off. Hoorah.

Most of us don't take vitamins intravenously though I guess. It's probably like pain relief I suspect, or even giving fluids, the first thing they'd do in hospital is put you on a drip if needed. I bet the absorption is better.

Not sure re spends today yet.

Morning.

Hope everyone is well. I have to do a food shop today. And maybe start packing (again).

I've always taken vitamins, it would be difficult to get a lot of minerals now due to soil depletion. We're never going to make loads of vitamin d in the summer either because when we evolved to do so we were naked & as soon as we tan the ability to do so decreases.

The patients I have who are peg fed, tube into the stomach, with bags of liquid nutrition are all having huge doses of vitamins & minerals and they all have lovely skin, hair and nails. They are literally peachy after a few months on that which is amazing considering the massive stroke they've usually had.

Topcashback have £3 back on single Easter eggs, the huge Cadbury ones are £8 in morrisons.

£1 off Taylor's ground coffee/beans too.

In bed & asleep by 9 awake now, and this is one of my reduced hours days so I don't need to be awake for another hour Grin
Spa tone is what I took in my first pregnancy, didn't really taste of anything. I put in some OJ to help it be absorbed.
Had to take galfer in second pregnancy & beyond its much stronger. Tar like poo

Life I should listen to you but Bandit sounds particularly authoritative Grin. But. No yarn without a specific pattern in mind to make with it. That’s my rule. I would have a ‘no new yarn’ rule except I have vouchers for yarn from my Mum and dad so that’s not really money, is it? Wink

Well, I have read before that vitamin supplements aren’t as good as proper dietary sources. I think I have a pretty varied diet anyway but I am feeling dull of skin and my nails are very dry and splitting so I must be missing something other than sleep . It won’t hurt to try and see whether I feel better. I am taking on board the iron /vit D supplement advice too. I do have a tendency to anaemia.

As far as kids go I am pretty cautious about what I give them. DS has always had the Wellkids drops /syrup (he does have a fairly restricted diet, not fundamentally unhealthy but lacking in variety) . Once dd comes off formula I’ll do the same for her. But I wouldn’t go for anything except a single supplement from a reputable brand. No extras for them unless on medical advice.

I’ve been playing with photos in Adobe Lightroom all evening and I am really delighted with some of the pictures I took of dd today. A reminder to go and photograph your kids - I just don’t do it often enough and time goes so fast! Must stalk DS for some current ones of him too. I am now synchronising my phone to add the new pics so I can WhatsApp them to my family and it is taking forEVER! I want to go to bed 😫

Cold turkey on the refined sugar tomorrow. 💪🏻

Have watched a bit of the brits with dd and was telling her about the infamous jarvis cocker/Micheal Jackson incident 😂 just watched it on YouTube and had a good old reminisce!! I feel sorry for dds generation, you just don't seem to get bands like pulp anymore.

Hope caglitini feels better soon, scary when they are small and poorly.

I dot take any suppliments either.. Luckily I am pretty much always horribly healthy..

My body and I are always at war .in the past I abused it with too much wine drinking and fag smoking (no longer though i do still like a Wine . I have a tendency to put on weight easliy , dryish skin , am only able to go a dirty cream however much i try and get a summer colour and exercise and I are not friends .

But i do appreciate that it never really gets ill.. and I haven't had any nasties, scares or allergies (except penicillin).

In fact i pretty much do nothing to it, (except I do mostly have a good diet ) so I know I have lot to be grateful for in my good health and the other stuff I worry about ( keeping to size 12/14 and trying to be a 10) is just vanity

I don’t take any supplements at the moment, I’m terrible for remembering to take tablets. I need to get my bloods done (several weeks overdue) and will see what they say. Interested in spatone, what does it taste like? My mum used to force feed me Floradix as a kid and I’ve not forgiven her :o

Thanks for reminder about drops, I must give Cagletini hers

It's a good one isn't it wrecked, I've got to remember to take it though iyswim by putting the sachets in the 'drawer of shit' with my car keys GrinGrin

I suspect I'm outdoors too much to need the D supplement. Pony, dogs, running etc. Sunblock from March onwards before you get agitated fluffyGrin

I'm low on vit D too. Had prescription pills for a while. Now just buy a supplement as it is slightly cheaper. No idea if it'sa good one though!

Spendy day today. Ended up spending 20 quid on a top up shop even though we'd only done the weekly shop yesterday. That included some birthday cards and trousers for DD though. Then we went out for lunch. £20 for 3 of us and we took food for the dts. It'll be expensive when we eat out and have to pay for all of us. Luckily we don't do it often we usually take picnics everywhere.

nofilter totally agree with others, I would ask for that £200 back from your db!! It's not your responsibility to fund a sibling who is able to support himself.

Private health care to me seems pointless in a country where we have a very good public health service. I'm a nurse and would like to think the care we give is as good as anything you would pay private for. But then I am a bit of a socialist at heart 😉

I take a cheapy vitamin every night and high dose evening primrose I think they help a bit with tiredness and pmt! !

Spends £22 morrisons, stuff I can't get in aldi!!

£30 petrol.

I'm restricted for Vit d so I buy that one in oil. My dm's friend died of melanoma in the early 70's & her consultant said they suspected uv exposure to be the cause. I was wearing sunblock when oil spf2 was fashionable.
