Gosh you lot are up early and busy for sunday! We are completely white here.

Will do a tu basket today. And I found a brownie waffle recipie that I'm going to try for the dc's breakfast (did we all dream of chocolate pancakes?).

need sounds like you had a really good time. The cookies were stupid easy, I had 3 small sad bananas, mushed to pulp, added two tablespoons cocoa powder, stir, and then 2 cups of oats, I added a bag of dark choc chips, but you needn't. It makes a sticky very biscuity type mix. I rolled into balls and squashed flat into 6cm ish rounds (they do not spread). 180 degrees for 15 mins or so.

Lots of homemade protein balls and energy bars on pintrest, most use peanut butter and oats. The cnp bars we used to sell were a)gopping and b) £1.50 each, so homemade does seem better.

Wolfcub · 11/02/2018 09:59

Rugby is off. Woooo

Cagliostro · 11/02/2018 09:59

Ooh thanks for the heads up about Tu baskets. Thankfully it wasn’t much, nothing essential reeeeeally 😳 so will reassess when the offer starts.

Must do the Asda order today though as I only have one nursing vest and DS certainly needs his black joggers for tap. Need to arrange a trip to buy his shoes too. Apparently boys tap shoes are more expensive than girls. 🤔

Another quiet boring day here. Need to drag myself out of this mood.

Great news need is that your doctor friend? 💐

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2018 10:31

Wolf & Life Your disappointment is palpable Grin

cookingonabootstrap.com/2015/08/11/extra-wholesome-banana-bread-vegan/ This in my oven now, I used all white flour as I had no wholemeal. I substituted walnut oil for coconut.

Waitrose is sending free short date lamb mince so that's £10 off the bill. That and other discounts £76 for three weeks dinners, the valentines meal offer incl wine, Dw salt & a free Sunday times to catch my veg peelings. So I have £14 left over from dhs half the food budget for top up shops. I'll need milk, ham, bread for Dh.

ememem84 · 11/02/2018 10:32

cag report back at the end of the day with 3 things you’re grateful for.

That’s my new thing. Yesterday I was grateful that I could be outside on the pony (even though I fell), grateful for leftover comfort food dinner (dhal and flatbreads) and grateful for my flask. Coffee with my riding pal in the tack room and a chat is always nice.

Taytocrisps · 11/02/2018 10:34

It's snowing here so I doubt the walk will go ahead. I wasn't planning to do it anyway but now I'm spared the guilt Halo. I might drag myself out of bed and make another cuppa. Don't you love lazy Sundays?

Unescorted · 11/02/2018 10:37

Sending happy thoughts to those feeling meh.

Wolfcub · 11/02/2018 10:51

The ironing is done. The downside being I’ve just realised I have no clean skirts for work next week so I need to shove a wash on. Packing started and then I’m going to get cracking on Sunday lunch.

Taytocrisps · 11/02/2018 12:05

The duvet cover I've had my eye on for ages in Debenhams has finally been reduced from €100 - €80. I had a gift card for €50 so it only cost me €30. My patience paid off.

ememem84 · 11/02/2018 12:31

Hooray tayto love when things like that happen!!

This is my new bedding.

Taytocrisps · 11/02/2018 12:36

You know you're getting old when you get excited about a new duvet cover Grin

LonelyOversharer · 11/02/2018 12:46

em I love Orla Kiely. I have a handbag I got for £42 on ebay, like 9 years ago that I still love. That bedding is lovely, would be wasted on my sweaty farty dp.

Brownie waffles were a triumph. Please note the clean counter top.

ive Decluttered a bag of paperwork. Forgot to send back the electoral role form. Oops. Will sort that next week.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2018 13:30

They look lovely.
£25 on converse for ds but they will last him all summer.
£13.50 on swimming. Signed up for a membership card which is £2.50 for each adult but discounts activities. That was included in the cash.
3.71 on bubble gum
£8 return stuff for costume I forgot to make

MeadowHay · 11/02/2018 13:40

Well we were meant to go for afternoon tea for an early valentines treat today but the weather is awful so couldn't bring ourselves to. So we are vegging out at my parents' house eating crap.

I went to the opticians and frugally got a free eye test cos of my HC2 cert but my prescription barely changed so I couldn't get a voucher off the glasses. But I needed new ones as these ones are 18 months old and proper battered and I don't have a spare pair either so I'm always terrified of breaking them and getting stuck (my eyesight's really bad, my lenses are so thick I'm very close to having to get them thinned out of necessity if they get any bigger). So I got a pair for £45 - the cheapest ones are £25 but they all seemed to be too small for my huge eyes/face. Not ideal but hey ho. I have to go back in 6 months to get them checked again but the test will be free again. Going to collect them next week.

Lonely That looks so yum!!

LonelyOversharer · 11/02/2018 14:08

Ffs. My tu basket of just the school uniform we need now is £74.50. 25% day here we come.
And I need to get dd2 school shoes (dr martens wanted) this half term.

LonelyOversharer · 11/02/2018 14:15

meadow I have the opposite problem. A pin head, and usually have to go to the tween section to get them small enough to not fall off my face! My new ones are o'neil, and I am picking them up tomorrow. I'm not really safe to drive without them now, luckily it's been sunny so can wear my beloved prescription Oakleys (kids frames). Also couldn't use my nhs voucher, as I stupidly lost my old pair before I'd had them a year.

ememem84 · 11/02/2018 14:41

Checked online banking. Credit card balance £3800. Mostly Dentist. Have just paid it off.

Currently making flapjacks as started craving something sweet.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2018 15:51

Your baking always looks so well presented. Mine looks like a 5yo helped.

NSD.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2018 16:27

I have to get petit glasses as I have a narrow face.

WreckTangled · 11/02/2018 16:36

I have a small head too. Hats always cover my eyes

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/02/2018 16:43

Survived dds trampolene park bday party, they all had a good time I think. Cost £50 which for 5 of them for 2 hours plus drinks and pizza was good value. Got extra drinks which came to £8 ish I think. Should have ordered an additional pizza as the girls polished off the one we had in about 5 seconds!! Had taken extra crisps and chocolate so they didn't starve, hey ho.

Dds bed has gone £70 in the decorating fund.
