Well there won't be any birth announcement tonight! According to MW my cervix looks like I've never given birth before Hmm awesome Hmm

WreckTangled · 22/10/2017 21:14

Oh cag how disappointing! You’ll get there Smile

SnugglySnerd · 22/10/2017 21:14

Hope you have a good night Cag and that things progress quickly.

Cagliostro · 22/10/2017 21:20

Hope so! Have had some contractions (in my back as she turned, little madam) but veeeery mild so nowt going on really. Second pessary in blah blah blah

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/10/2017 21:25

Good luck Cag

We have a new arrival here Grin the canine type, she is very cute although appears to have wind - lovely Hmm so far so good, she has had a walk, eaten her tea, wee'd outside, played with dd and has now crashed out on the sofa!! I need to work out how to get mn on my phone so I can show you a pic.... the problem is that requires me remembering my password Blush

LillyLollyLandy · 22/10/2017 21:34

Thanks fluffy some good ideas there. DH has an irrational fear of frozen stuff, which is quite annoying. Perhaps I should just not tell him?!

Girlie the dog sounds great. How’s your DD responding to her?

Hang in there Cag!

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/10/2017 21:34

On the upside Cag You have a youthful looking cervix & how many women can say that on their third pregnancy?. I hope it gets going soon. You must be bored waiting.

Taytocrisps · 22/10/2017 21:39

Cag hope you're not too fed up. Have you enough food and snacks?

Girlie welcome to your new baby Smile. Can't wait to see a photo.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/10/2017 21:47

Will def get a pic up tomos one way or another! Dd is very pleased although this little dog (Shih Tzu) is very different to my dads dog (JRT) they aren't really interested in chasing balls or playing tug of war Grin Dd worked out a game she did like which involved tying a feather to a piece of string which the dog then chased!!

Blimey she just barked for the first time Shock quite a loud bark for a little dog Grin

ememem84 · 22/10/2017 22:53

Hang in there cag

Youthful cervix eh??? Lucky you 😉

Hope you can get to sleep xxx

AdoraBell · 22/10/2017 23:05

Another new thread Confused where did the time go? I can’t keep up.

Thanks for the new thread Wreck Thanks

NSD for me today, DH spent money though. £6 on coffees, £35-ish in DIY store and £14 in Tesco. DDs are on half term but need to be at home to study as GCSEs are looming on the horizon.

Yesterday I spent £16 in the butchers and £15 in the greencrocers, got a 25 kilo bag of spuds for £6.

Hope everyone is well.

My thumb is infected where I got it with the cheese grater. I feel so pathetic going to the dr about it though!

MM was really funny but it over ran and we’ve had to rush for the last train. Plus my thumb hurts. Luckily I don’t have to get up tomorrow woo hoo! I’m sure he dc will have other ideas though...

ChristmasSeacow · 22/10/2017 23:31

I have eaten a ridiculous amount of rich food and then missed the last DLR home. currently trying to work out how to un-strand myself. Gah.

Sorry about the cervix Cag . I am sure things will move fast once you get going, fingers crossed for tomorrow!

LillyLollyLandy · 22/10/2017 23:43

Yikes seacow whereabouts are you? Can you get a cab to the nearest Tube?

WreckTangled · 22/10/2017 23:46

Oh no seacow if I had missed mine I could have come and rescued you HmmGrin luckily you’re in London and not in the sticks so I hopefully you’ll find a solution quickly

ChristmasSeacow · 23/10/2017 00:46

I'm home, thanks guys! Managed to get home by a completely different though convoluted route, phew. I am not a fan of night buses and there's no direct ones to where I live anyway so it involves changing and hanging around in a rather insalubrious spot. Best avoided wherever possible.

Glad I didn't drink much although I ate a ridiculous amount. And it was incredibly rich (5 courses including tournedos Rossini and a huge cheese board) 🐷

I must set up Uber on my phone for future emergencies.

Cagliostro · 23/10/2017 02:25

Yikes seacow glad you are home.

Bored and nothing to update here. But I have had some sleep so that's good.

ememem84 · 23/10/2017 06:25

Interesting and funny one just now (although ds doesn’t think so). Feeding ds (bf as too lazy to get a bottle) and he pulled away.my boob had other ideas and kept firing milk at his face....

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2017 07:19

LLL

No don't tell anyone anything. Name, rank & number is all dhs need to know otherwise they have opinions on things.

The only frozen item I haven't liked is whole chickens & yet our Xmas turkey crown was frozen last year & I couldn't tell. Once a relative said the tea I'd made was lovely & which one was it, I said smartprice & the cup was put down. Meh.

Cag Wow this labour thing takes a while doesn't it?. I bet Portland mummies don't have to wait this long.

Sea Definitely get uber.

Cagliostro · 23/10/2017 07:20

😂😂 ah well at least it shows you have a plentiful supply! Useful trick if he has a sore eye or something too. Magic stuff. If a tad messy.

I knew I recognised the lovely overnight midwife (who let me have gas and air for my second exam/pessary, helped untold and made me a bit high :o) - she read my notes and it turned out she was with me on postnatal after the arrival of giant DS, she remembered him. :)

WreckTangled · 23/10/2017 07:47

Haha em at least it was ds and not dh it got!

Cag that’s so nice. Hope things get moving today.

I’m exhausted after yesterday I can’t cope with late nights these days, think I’ve had 3/4 hours sleep 💤

OP posts:
ememem84 · 23/10/2017 07:54

We are up. Sort of. I’ve had a shower and am in my joggers and bathrobe. Dh took dh into living room so I could shower. And he’s made me porridge. Yippee! Turns out my tastebuds changed while preggo and I like porridge now.

So I’ve achieved shower and proper breakfast today. Hoorah!

Off to “tots and tea” this morning. It’s at 1030 so may treat myself to a pastry while there for second breakfast.

Spends today £3 ish probably on tea and pastry.

The place I’m going to for the baby group is also a farm shop and sells lovely frozen pastries. Might pick up some croissants for the freezer.

Then to the post office to collect parcel.

SunnyLikeThursday · 23/10/2017 08:50

Glad things are pottering along well there Cag. Hope today goes well.

We had a rubbish sleep for no good reason and are going to have a go at swimming now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/10/2017 08:53

Lovely night here. Lazy day though the DC want to go spend their birthday vouchers.

northender · 23/10/2017 08:56

Thanks for the new thread wreck
Good luck Cag!! I had an unresponsive cervix having ds but remeber the prostaglandin cramps which I briefly thought were contractions. Fingers crossed things get moving soon.
Em mix feeding is good, at least you keep the option of bf when it's more convenient.
Seacow glad you're home okay, the meal sounds fab.

Good weekend here but quite spendy. Went out with dh on Saturday night & got some more Christmas presents (almost sorted now!). Haven't done any classes as I've been having problems with my calf. Hoping to get back into it soon.
Ds is at home with me today as he's running a really high temp, some sort of virus I think. I've got a heating engineer coming later to service the boiler and check out the radiators etc. In the midst of giving the bathroom a good clean ready to do some touching up to the grouting. Dh's parents are coming to stay for a few days at the end of November so we're trying to use that as a deadline for a whole load of smallish jobs which have needed doing for ages but that we just haven't got round to.
Our half term is next week and we're off to Cornwall so I'm in the midst of a Tesco order too. I can't wait for the break, feel really ready for it.
