I came on to see if cag updated us! Grin blimmin' eck!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2017 15:24

I was hoping Cag Had safely delivered the baby by now too. It's very worrying.

£10 petrol
£1 work supplies

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/10/2017 15:34

Either things are a moving or they have whipped her down for a c section as i remember her saying they were not going to let the induction go on too long.

Cagliostro · 23/10/2017 15:50

Neither I'm afraid! 😳 Sod all happening, sweep did nothing, just had 3rd pessary. To be expected I suppose as even though I've had a quick induction before, this one is a before due date one and so it's normal to take so fecking LONG. Ugh.

Going to ask for clarification later though about what happens if pessary #4 does nothing. They are totally rushed off their feet here today though, it's all rather hectic and I am completely peopled out with all the noise and chaos!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2017 15:53

Oh god yes people. Dh is permenantly peopled out.

GrumpyMcGrumpFace · 23/10/2017 15:55

must be so frustrating cag. Sending you a little peace bubble to retreat into. Fingers crossed for you.

GrumpyMcGrumpFace · 23/10/2017 15:57

not spent cash, but paid for DDs' music lessons.

ChristmasSeacow · 23/10/2017 15:59

I wasn't worried Cag, I know it can take ages to get going, especially if they are busy. I was just hopeful!

Have you asked them whether they can find you a side room due to your ASD? I think you should ask to speak to the senior mw on shift and if you are feeling tearful then let it out! . I know you are prepared to pay for a room afterwards but you shouldn't have to in the circumstances. Also, they will give priority to clinical need over private payers, so it would be better for you to be on their radar for clinical need (you're more likely to be prioritised).

Hope you are feeling the frugaleer love!

Loveabaconsandwich · 23/10/2017 16:01

Just popping in for a cag update. Flowers hope you make some progress soon

ememem84 · 23/10/2017 16:30

Eugh people.

SunnyLikeThursday · 23/10/2017 16:48

Glad to hear from you Cag. It took a long time before things got going with me too. just a lot of sitting. I'm glad you brought food. Sounds like good advice from Christmas.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/10/2017 16:54

Girlie so gorgeous! What do the cats think?

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2017 17:02

She's adorable. That is one cute doggy.

What do the cats make of her? Mine would be living in the garden terrified to come in.

ememem84 · 23/10/2017 17:08

Ooohhh cute doggie!!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/10/2017 17:21

She is cute, a sort of living teddy bear Grin the cats aren't bothered at all but she is terrified of them Hmm Grin (you will have to excuse the mess in the back ground of those pics Blush its half term!) My cats are weird though they have never been scared of dogs Confused

She has fitted in very well so far but not sure how she will cope with being left on her own, she likes to be next to you at all times. Will see how the next couple of weeks go before making any final decisions.....

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/10/2017 17:28

Only spent £1.40 today on milk, was hoping to eek the food out till payday on Friday but not sure will manage that....

Also if we do keep the dog need to look into pet insurance and also how much local groomers cost, she will need regularly clipping. The lady who runs the rescue doesn't want anything for her though and has said if we do agree to take her they will pay to get her spayed.

Cagliostro · 23/10/2017 17:46

Eeee girlie she's so gorgeous! 😍 And if you call that background 'messy' then I dread to think what you would call my house

I am absolutely feeling the love ❤️ It's helping to be able to update on this thread and my other regular one (Flylady - my main housekeeping task being to declutter this baby from my womb :o. And one of my friends renamed our FB group chat "[bump name]-watch 2017" :o never been so grateful for wifi in my life!!!

LonelyOversharer · 23/10/2017 17:47

Oh girlie very cute! Their hair just grows? My spaniel is like that, needs brushing and clipping, but no shedding! The big dog drops vast quantities of ginger hair.

Hang in there cag fingers crossed for no.4 but I think prep your mind for a section. Are your dc allowed to visit, or are you limited by age/numbers? It's very hard just waiting.

Dp looked at the tumble dryer, told me off for overloading it, and switched it on. Of course the fecking thing worked. 8kg washer, 8kg dryer. So I empty the washer into the dryer (after a super spin), apparently this isn't how you do it. Like he ever does the laundry. I suggested (a bit huffily) that he takes over this job if I do it wrong!

We have done a massive amount of digging today. The bottom of the shed was rotten, so we're going to rejig and make it bigger with a new concrete base (floor and joists all torn up, ugh to wet rotten wood). Totally emptied it, and found nothing exciting. Nsd for me so far, dp is at a meeting and has promised to bring chips home. Doing a freezer tea for the dc, fish fingers, chips, peas, whatever I've actually got in there, suppose I'd better go and look.

ememem84 · 23/10/2017 17:57

Oh jeez. Bad Mummy alert. Just dropped the tv control on ds’ face as he was feeding. Oopsy.

He’s I’ve had a shocker this afternoon. Changed his nappy and I didn’t cover “the hose” up quickly enough. Pee everywhere. Le sigh! Haha.

I’ve got dinner on the go - sweet potato and chickpea curry. Have renewed my driving licence. Sent a couple of emails re pay to work. And washed our summer duvet hoorah!

Cagliostro · 23/10/2017 18:01

Kids are allowed to visit but I'm not sure it'd be a good idea TBH. It was pretty horrific in here yesterday, lots of pain, vomiting, one actually started pushing in this ward and nearly gave birth in the corridor bless her. Would be pretty traumatic for DD I think! The Caglets have been really happy with DSD though, she's just taken them back to ours after work (she does playwork for council) and my parents are arriving there to take over from tonight (I'm actually more worried how they'll cope than 19yo DSD!). Thankfully I think DD is so excited about the new baby sister that it is probably helping her deal with us being away from her IYSWIM. When we get to postnatal ward/room they'll come up but I don't think I'll see them before.

MeadowHay · 23/10/2017 18:55

Cag Hope everything continues to go well and hopefully baby will make an appearance soon enough Smile.

Seacow Playdate does sound like a success all things considered!

Girlie What a lovely doggy!! I am very jealous!

Got my paycheck today, pay day is tomorrow so that is good. My colleagues all seemed absolutely flabbergasted when I told them I'd put my pension contribs as 5% - they all kept their 1% and one even went "why are you putting money in your pension?" I didn't know what to say especially being autistic I just said "because I need money to live off when I'm retired...". It was all very odd. I hope I didn't come across rude but I didn't understand the question Confused. My dad told me to put 10% contribs but as DH is unemployed atm thought that was a bit much but if he starts payed employment soon I will try and up it to that. I mean state pension is dwindling in worth all the time and God knows what will happen in the future.

Also now I have my October payslip I can copy it and send it to the council for our dormant Housing Benefit claim.

LonelyOversharer · 23/10/2017 18:58

Good plan cag had a giggle at you trusting dsd more than your parents!

Busy hospitals are a bit full on! I had dd2 and 3 in the RVI, Newcastle, they must have 20 babies at least a day there. I'm afraid I was one of those who delivered dd3 in the corridor en route to the delivery room, apparently I didn't look in active labour I think they were overfull whereas in Hexham they had about 2 a week! I wasn't allowed in there, after my 'complex' c-section Hmm

The joy of boys em ds caught me out time and time again. I mean the girls did it too, but just went into the nappy or wet the vest, nothing like the spray a boy can manage. Easier to potty train though as I left it to dp, boy stuff!

Where is dp, I want my chips. Salad cream and cheese on top I think. Not enough chips for the kids in the freezer, so did plain pasta instead, and beans. Wolfed down. I honestly do wonder why I ever do more sometimes.

SunnyLikeThursday · 23/10/2017 19:01

Cag that doesn't sound like any fun at all. I'm glad I went straight into a delivery room. decided to stick with one now

Cagliostro · 23/10/2017 19:28

Meadow you were asked a daft question (it IS daft - what else would a pension be for?) and you answered it at face value with a perfectly sensible answer. Nowt wrong with that! :)

Very glad you had a good play date seacow :)

It's a bit calmer in here now thankfully. And while I'm bored and frustrated at least I'm comfortable and not in pain (although logically of course it would be better if I were Hmm). I just feel like I'm in a very weird hotel with lots of beeping and belly-prodding.

Need to order a Tesco delivery for mum and dad tomorrow! It had been the plan for us to get the shopping in beforehand as I had thought I'd still be at home waiting for induction date at this point. Bloody love online shopping. Mum and dad don't drive either so makes sense to stick to our usual delivery slot.
