Good luck for all the job interviews.

What lovely friends Cag!

WreckTangled · 28/09/2017 08:13

Mmm mammy that looks good.

I've just placed another bet. I think I'm getting the hang of it.

WreckTangled · 28/09/2017 08:24

Fluffy if I'm doing the paddypower bet £20 and if it loses we will refund you would I do it as a normal bet on the calculator? It's not a free bet is it?

LonelyOversharer · 28/09/2017 08:35

Good luck for all the interviews today! Fingers crossed for you collie

I stagnated last night, just knitted the welt on my new sweater, did no work either. I'm so behind. Just taking 5 mins as we need both cars today, so dp has taken the big one with dc's and I'll pootle the little one in in a bit.

sunny so glad you got through it! And now you know you can, so can be less anxious if there's a next time (I have to actually tell myself not to be anxious, that it's ok I've done it before etc). My dd1 was so like that, perfect for everyone else, then let off steam like a screaming demon (for 3 hours at a time) once we were alone. Luckily she has grown out of it! And now I view tantrums as "is that the best you can do?"

WreckTangled · 28/09/2017 08:53

Oh don't worry I see they have that option

Cagliostro · 28/09/2017 09:24

Feeling so bleary eyed this morning! I actually had a small slice of cake at the party (a friend's super talented DD made the most amazing one, she's about to turn 9! Wish I could post a pic without outing me/them) so for the first time my sugars were a little over the maximum last night. But one offs they are ok with so as long as they stay good the rest of the time. Have been doing pretty well with it overall so hopefully can keep baby in until 40 weeks!

I am totally overwhelmed still. I've never had anything like that before, I didn't ever have a group of 'mum friends' and when I had the Caglets I was so lonely. I didn't even do a hen party as I thought nobody would want to be there! So to now have a group of friends to do that with is just so amazing 💕

SnugglySnerd · 28/09/2017 09:31

Thanks Mammy. I have half a bag of frozen mango leftover from making ice lollies in the summer and I was wondering what to do with it. Did you just leave it out to defrost? How long did it take? I suppose if it turns to mush I can call it "baby food"!

How lovely of your friends Cag. Excellent surprise.

Trying to decide whether to peg out washing. Sky looks like it could go either way! Should be another NSD.

SnugglySnerd · 28/09/2017 09:32

Meant to say good luck Em one first day with dh back at work.

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 09:38

Snuggly frozen mango Greek yog in pot in morning.. put in fridge at work mango slush for 11's Smile

CollieBobs · 28/09/2017 10:53

cag that's amazing! What lovely friends you have!

My interview went OK. It was very very chatty but they did ask some tough questions. I suppose I won't be a 2nd interview but it's a shame because I genuinely feel like I'd fit in there.

Also, my Simba mattress has not arrived. I have wasted 8 hours waiting in for their non existent deliveries so far. Refund takes 3-5 days.

Feeling quite low now tbh.

ememem84 · 28/09/2017 10:58

Oh cag that's so nice of them! You must have be so so suprised. I bet your face was an absolute picture! 😀

collie don't be so hard on yourself. You never know. I'm sure it went fine!

snuggly so far so good with dh being at work. We've had a cup of tea, Skyped sil and nephew in nz, have had a feed, ds pooped (these are no longer like marmite....) and he farted at me mid change! Haha! He looked super shocked!

I've put a load of washing on and am now sorting through paperwork we've received in the past month. Oops. Have a load of vouchers. Boots, Waitrose, white company, boden, joules. All for various %'s off. Must resist. unless I buy things for ds that's ok right?

SnugglySnerd · 28/09/2017 11:55

Sounds nice Laska.

Em I find it almost impossible to resist buying baby clothes. They are so cute. Pleased you are having a good day. I was borderline hysterical when DH went back to work after DD1 was born!

ememem84 · 28/09/2017 12:04

snuggly I was nervous initially but figured no different to when I was on my own at nighttime in the hospital.

We're taking it easy though.

I bought a couple more blankets at the white company and some trousers for ds at boden. Total spends £74. Used 15% voucher at white co and 20% boden and bought via TCB.

northender · 28/09/2017 12:19

You never know Collie, fingers crossed for you. Good luck to Laska's ds too.
Em have a lovely day on your own with ds
Cag what a lovely surprise from your friends.
Seacow hope you get your work dilemma sorted, but it sounds like there isn't going to be an easy or perfect solution.
All well here. LSD Tuesday, NSD Wednesday, NSD so far today but have emailed dh an aldi list so it won't stay that way!
Was on good frugal form this morning. I was going to go to the farm shop for meat but decided to do a freezer audit first. It turns out there is enough meat/frozen food for at least 14 meals!
Did a class called HCore Prism at 7 this morning which was tough but over and done with by 7.40. In work later & then organising for our weekend in Edinburgh.

SunnyLikeThursday · 28/09/2017 13:12

Em I think dh must think the same way as you as I saw him washing down a multivitamin with a paracetmol tablet this morning. Efficient!

Well done on all the feeding and nappy changes. That sounds great. Do you have a tiny camera to carry with you in your pocket? It's part of the fun to take around 5000 photos over the next year or so. Very important, since almost everybody forgets all these early months totally and has to rely on photos for reminiscing.

I'm glad to know it's not just my ds that goes ballistic after being good for two days. It was very surprising. :-)

Cag That's brilliant. The baby shower sounds wonderful.

Thanks Laska. My DH will love the pompom wave. I will pass it on to him. Smile

Dh has the afternoon and then a dinner to go and then he can fall right over. I'll be glad when this is all done.

SnugglySnerd · 28/09/2017 13:15

Actually Em it's better than hospital because you can use your own bathroom, get a decent cuppa and watch TV!

I'm trying to cut down our baby wipe usage. Not so much for wiping little bottoms but for all the other things we lazily use them for like wiping sticky little hands and faces. DD1 is big enough to go and wash her hands and I'm going to save old clothes to cut up and use for wiping spills etc. Not so much a financial decision as an environmental one but it will save us a few quid too.

mammymammyIRL · 28/09/2017 14:08

snuggly I used the defrost setting on microwave because I was hungry, and wanted them with 0% greek fat yogurt and all bran golden crunch for my breakfast.

em you are such a chilled mama
cag that's so lovely

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/09/2017 14:18

When do you find out Collie?.

You have some lovely friends Cag. I didn't have a hen do either. Mind you I didn't want one, Dh didn't have a stag do.

CollieBobs · 28/09/2017 14:21

I find out tomorrow or Monday

£3.30 on the bus Smile

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 14:29

DS doent think he will get job.. but wpnt know for a day or so . He thought they just seemed to be going through the motions.. however he is sanguine.. he thinks there is going to be a job in his own office coming up soon and thinks he would have a good chance at that .

SnugglySnerd · 28/09/2017 15:02

Ah that's good. Microwave is better actually as I always forget to get things out of the freezer in time.

WreckTangled · 28/09/2017 16:31

Cag please pm me your address so I can send you the snowsuit

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/09/2017 17:10

£11 Aldi. Mainly wine.

ememem84 · 28/09/2017 17:44

We did it! Day 1 on our own. Ds has fed a lot. He's pooped a lot and it's changed somewhat. But we did it. Hoorah!!!

mammymammyIRL · 28/09/2017 18:00

No bother to ya at all em
Snuggly I usually have berries at 10am break & they're defrosted by then & keep my yogurt cool out of fridge but today I wanted them earlier.
