need we worked out the bath issue. Ds needed a wee. He was all wrapped up in his clean warm dry towel and was being snuggled and towels dry by dh and he peed. All through the towel. And on dh’s jumper.

He didn’t like the bath on the hospital but since we’ve been home we’ve made baths deeper and he seemed to like it.

We’ve had a nice day today. £31 on asos for dh’s stuff using both my £5 vouchers and a 15% off voucher. Health visitor cane round and stayed for ages but we had good talks.

Then we went to see dparents. Ds took a bottle from me too which meant we could stay out longer. Yay!! Dbil popped in and told us dcatil had to be pts. Sad times. Sad

I’ve done zero of my self appointed chores today. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day!!

www.hotukdeals.com/deals/upto-40-back-from-your-water-company-if-you-dont-have-a-surface-water-drain-backdated-6-years-2425283

Read "whoknew" 4th April in the comments.

I'm not paranoid, they are out to get us.

needastrongone · 09/10/2017 18:08

We've attenuation tank apparently fluffy, which is where the surface water drains. I'm going to give it a go nonetheless.

DH's Merc broke down again btw, well the replacement one did. Pile of shite.

AdoraBell · 09/10/2017 18:14

£230 in Ikea, book cases and filling cabinets.
£9 odd on lunch.

LaChatte · 09/10/2017 18:17

Took DS to the dermatologist's today, €48, but most will be refunded through health insurance. He's going to have to have surgery to remove a mole though Sad

Tomorrow we're going on strike, we'll be demonstrating in the nearest big town which is going to cost a bit (petrol + lunch + Lush bath bomb )

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2017 18:28

The main issue is that you don't use their drains though. It's just a fancy way of doing it.

Can he part ex? We never had a problem with our C's & he had one a year for 15 years. The E's barely made it off the compound, especially the Coupes/Convertables. It depends if your dealership has a diagnostic tech or not, if they can't find the cause of the fault they'll just hand it back & say it's ok Hmm

You have to remember motor trade people are crap at their jobs. They get a job, do it badly, get sacked for being shit, get another job in the trade. Rinse & repeat. That's why they've often worked at lots of different brands. It's a revolving door of incompetency.

Can't beat a BMW for quality. I would have a mini like a shot if I wasn't parking in grotty areas. Best.car.ever. Way better than his C class. It was a revelation to me that you can drive to Devon & not be exhausted when you arrive.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2017 18:30

C's are built in S.A btw.

needastrongone · 09/10/2017 18:33

Remember he got a full replacement one last year after his first new one kept cutting out and they never found the fault. This is the replacement! I'll keep you updated though, maybe via pm. I need to get my shit together, gather the evidence and start complaining.

needastrongone · 09/10/2017 18:34

It's a C though btw. X

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2017 18:58

Is it on a lease or personal contract plan?.

My cars on a business lease & I only have to give three months notice if I want to hand it back.

It could be the path of least resistance.

Cagliostro · 09/10/2017 19:11

Thank you all Blush hormonal meltdown over for today anyway Blush

Really appreciate the stern talking to Thanks I get overwhelmed so easily and it's definitely worse at the moment! I'm very lucky that you all listen so kindly Thanks

£4.50 taxi home (walked down to taekwondo though) £13 coop on easy food snacks and milk.

Good point about council collection. I had ruled it out because we had so much to get rid of, but actually if there are certain items left over like the fridge etc then that would work perfectly. I think I will just have to work around the fact that it is probably not possible to do absolutely everything in one go!

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2017 19:17

I've just checked our councils policy & it's cheaper if you get housing benefit, council tax benefit or income support.

Cagliostro · 09/10/2017 19:22

Yep same here in fact you get one free item a year (although we have used that once so need to find out if that was in the previous year or this one) if in receipt of certain things. So at least that is definitely an option for washing machine etc but we will check if it's cheaper in that case just to get it collected when we get the new one (I have applied for the MN product test with AEG :o just in case!)

Got a friend recommendation of man with van and also possibly a friend's DH and even lovely DSS depending on his driving licence (max weight of vehicle) - would just need to hire a vehicle then. So there are options. Feeling a lot more positive now Thanks

Loveabaconsandwich · 09/10/2017 19:25

Will have a look fluffy and need but for peak time train journeys you can’t get any amazing deals on my route. Annual leave, sick days and childcare sick days obviously save the money but there is a limit to that Grin . Working from Home also helps but can only normally get one day once every two or so weeks. I could save £2 and walk the last stop but it 25-30 mins each way. I don’t own a bike and also a busy main road. I shouldn’t whinge too much, I did get the payment extended longer than everyone else

Loveabaconsandwich · 09/10/2017 19:38

fluffy I meant to ask after your post the other day, does/can using online betting accounts affect your credit rating then?

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2017 19:44

Well my noddles at 600, my experians at 999. I think Experian et al are the ones they check for mortgages etc.

They check under the heading of money laundering not a credit application.

Cagliostro · 09/10/2017 20:20

Electric cut out for some reason Hmm yes I may have called DH again - can't find anything dodgy so must have been a power surge or something?! Bit of a comedy of errors lately 😂 Glad I had finished dinner :o

MeadowHay · 09/10/2017 20:31

Em that's brilliant your ds will take bottle from you, dd would from me ds wouldn't Smile

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/10/2017 20:58

Meadow Shock Grin amazing!!!!! Congratulations, so pleased for you.

£8 towards a much loved colleagues leaving gift Sad gutted she is leaving.
£2 towards another colleagues 40th bday

Dd was knocked over by an older boy on the way home from school, so had a tearful phone call from her and left work a bit early. I honestly think this is such a tricky age where the child care runs out but they still need support.

The film was fab but tragic as well in terms of being completely let down by parents, its a good film to watch to make you feel better about your own parenting Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2017 20:59

Congratulations Meadow

And we thought the new job was tiring you out Grin

ChristmasSeacow · 09/10/2017 21:11

Wow Meadow congratulations! You said you were feeling broody and you certainly didn't let the grass grow under your feet!

Sleep lots now while you can Wink

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/10/2017 21:20
