Nipples look really weird and scary whilst in the 'flange' of a breast pump

LonelyOversharer · 02/10/2017 16:11

Moana is my favourite too. I even have the soundtrack downloaded for me ds to sing along to in the car! The girls just roll their eyes (and borrow the dvd when they think we're not looking).

We went up to Gretna. £80 in sketchers, slippers for me and boots for dp (He's been wearing bloody crocs to workfir weeks, enough was enough), £48 in mountain warehouse on bits for dd3's residential, and £9 and £6 in subway and costa respectively. Also checked the pvc pipe in b&q, as we think we can build the poly tunnel for about half the price of buying one. I'll buy the proper cover from the polytunnel people, but the rest we can wing. It's going to be 7m long, 3m wide.

Happy Birthday em it sounds like you are having a lovely day, and that you have a rare angelic baby!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/10/2017 16:20

Ha glad its not just me that loves Moana! I never really got the whole Frozen hysteria and think this film is so much better, the music is fab.

Em are there any breast feeding support groups near you? I went to one when dd was a few weeks old, like you the thought of bfing in public was very scary but going to a group where everyone was in the same boat really helped. Plus it gets massively easier as the baby gets older and you can just stick them under your top and don't have all the faff with latching on etc.

Cagliostro · 02/10/2017 16:35

Yes agree it's easier once you're really in the swing of things. it is unnerving at first getting a boob out but after a while it is just so easy and really doesn't bare any flesh.

Moana is awesome and I now have you're welcome stuck in my head thanks to this thread!

Just got out of the consultant and don't need meds at the moment because my numbers are fab 😇😇😇 yay!!!

SnugglySnerd · 02/10/2017 16:58

Ooh would Moana be a good Xmas gift for DD? She's 3.

Well done Cag!

NSD. Good start to the week.

ememem84 · 02/10/2017 16:59

Woohoo cag awesome news!

I think there probably are breastfeeding support groups here haven’t investigated any yet though. May look into it.

WreckTangled · 02/10/2017 17:01

Yes snuggly!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/10/2017 17:22

Em So nice of her to make your mind up for you. Men don't play these games. I wonder if she was worried Emboys arrival would over shadow her birthday?.

Well done Cag, carbs are hard to give up.

One day Emboy & cagletini will meet up abroad & discover both their mothers used mumsnet.

£5 flu jab
£3 bread, pittas, tomatoes & dates as a treat.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/10/2017 17:59

Def Snuggly I can't imagine any 3yo girl (or boy) not liking it tbh.

Its a good way to meet other new mums if nothing else Em your hv would know if there are local ones.

ememem84 · 02/10/2017 18:09

snuggly absolutely! I don’t know anyone who hasn’t liked moana!! It’s ace. It’s close to knocking the emperors new groove off my top 5 Disney movies (the others being: the little mermaid, Aladdin, lion king, and beauty and the beast).

Cagliostro · 02/10/2017 18:11

Oh emperors new groove is BRILLIANT! A llama? He's supposed to be dead!!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/10/2017 18:12

Moana is fab.

WreckTangled · 02/10/2017 18:23

I love Aladdin. We saw it on broadway when it had just come to the theatre it was amazing.

LonelyOversharer · 02/10/2017 18:52

Oh I had "there you are" in my head all day on friday. I like Tangled very much too. I saw the Lion King twice at the cinema, and I was 18 when it came out! The little mermaid is up there too. Best of non-disley is The Croods for me. Just love it.

Fed dc, done 2 hrs work, and off on the turbo now. I've put back on 5lb since I stopped counting each calorie. So if I want to eat I've got to burn them off.

Laska5772 · 02/10/2017 19:18

£19.99 on a shirt dress I didnt go in for in H&M today .and £5.99 for socks that I did.

Also yet another £2.50 on the work Euromillions syndicate.. (that 3 rollovers now ? so I cant back out at this stage of the game. Hmm ).

I am cold.. suppose I am not allowed the heating on yet?

Physio again tomorrow morning . but the Mc Kenzie exercises she gave me for the sciatica has really helped I reckon they have pretty much cured it . ..

Frugal egg and vegetable curry for dinner using some of chunky the autumn veg soup I made last night as a base and adding a couple of potatoes an egg and some hot curry sauce ( Pataks type) Le yum..

Am still cold though.. I have a jumper on . but it could be because I am tired.. Early to bed I think .with book and tea .

Laska5772 · 02/10/2017 19:23

for some reason I have had 'Brim full of Asha' in my head all day.. I now give it to you.. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/10/2017 19:28

If your cold put the heating on. I want some fleece lined tights. They sound so cosy.

SnugglySnerd · 02/10/2017 19:41

Thanks Laska that will be in my head all night now although it will make a change from the CBeebies days of the week song. "Give it up for Monday tra la la la laaaaa!"

Right then Moana is going on the list. Really struggling to know what to get DD. If I ask her she'll say something completely random like a dino-unicorn or something.

Laska5772 · 02/10/2017 19:48

.....everybody needs a bosom for a pillow, everybody needs a bosom.. Mines on the 45..

LonelyOversharer · 02/10/2017 20:34

Thanks Laska that's my most un-favourite ear worm.

Just done 16 miles on the turbo. Warms you up! Had a bit of a domestic while on the turbo as I was last out of a group of 200 odd. Made me a bit pissy and yelled at Dp who was apparently waiting for me but wasn't Blush

Fab furry lined leggings from primark fluffy £6 I think.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/10/2017 20:45
