Snuggly great housework done, today I've put away all laundry & swept ours & dc's rooms, unfortunately ours is not clutter free yet but dc's is.

I've been pondering spending money on zno albums for our photos, has anyone used or have any recommendations? I've just spent €3.49 on project life app to design pages for said photo books.

Spa day looked fab wreck hope you're feeling much better

Yesterday a cast iron pot jumped out of press & attacked my foot, luckily only bruised.

Em can't believe it took your dh this long to figure out why you were doing the laundry Grin after years of complaining about dh mixing loads of washing I've bought colour catchers who knew they would almost solve this issue Shock

Regina one of the best things I did in my frugaleer journey was making room in freezer for a weeks work of milk & bread in freezer Wink

Going to open air screening of Willy Wonka tonight - we've got microwave popcorn, crisps & a multipack of twix already in stock, dh will take a flask of coffee.

Taytocrisps · 12/08/2017 17:55

I'm with ptsb also mammy. They sent us a letter recently to say that their quarterly fees are increasing from €3.81 to €18! It's a cashextra account - perhaps your account is different?

ememem84 · 12/08/2017 18:04

Back from afternoon tea. So much food. We couldn't finish it. My friend took it home. £18 each.

Tasty though.

100yearsdotcom · 12/08/2017 19:08

Thanks mammy, hoping we'll all soon be better, has just been one thing after another.

Seacow, so sorry you're having such a hard time of it lately. Re the reflux, we were going to be given Gaviscon but ended up with omeprazole, which is much more effective more quickly, as it was so bad it was starting to affect my sanity. I know exactly what you mean about how it makes you feel when they're in so much distress. Don't be afraid to push for omeprazole if you think she needs it as often you will get fobbed off for a while with Gaviscon etc as I think there's a significant cost differential.

Cag, hope your fil is OK and that house stuff continues to go well.

Sorry I've forgotten everything else I meant to reply to!

WreckTangled · 12/08/2017 20:17

Em not sure why but this made me think of you Wink

That card is just perfect 👌 Grin

Tayto
Our joint account is explore with ptsb & I think mine is possibly the same - got a letter explaining fees but it also said once I continue to do x amount of transfers use debit card & have x amount going through monthly i won't be charged

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/08/2017 21:32

I love it when I see things like that, that make it clear as day that many other people have just the same life as we do. Smile

northender · 12/08/2017 21:58

Wow this has moved on quickly! Welcome to the newcomers.
sunny sensible move with the vouchers, however tempting the alternative
Em glad laundry war is over
Can't read back and comment as I'm on the iPad so apologies to everyone I've missed.
We're in devon now having set off at 6 this morning, roof box and bike rack plus 3 bikes on board. We are staying with pil tonight & then we sail for France overnight tomorrow, arriving in Brittany early. Monday morning. We stopped as planned at the naive Gloucester services, looking forward to a cooked breakfast, to find that everyone else had the same idea (at 8.30!). The car park was packed and the queue for the cooked brekkie was out of the door so we ended up with some lovely but v expensive breads and pastries (£16 Shock)

AdoraBell · 13/08/2017 00:36

still can't keep up, sorry.

we're off to see the ILs for a couple of days so I won't be able to MN.

NSD today, I don't anticipate spending anything myself while we're away.

needastrongone · 13/08/2017 06:29

Have a great one north.

Lovely meal out meeting our friends that randomly were holidaying near us, at our local restaurant, who were wonderfully attentive, gave us all shots and sent myself and my friend home with a bottle of house white each. Got to love Italian hospitality. DH was on form and we had such a giggle. DH picked up the tab as they are work related too.

I got up early and have run 4 hilly miles.

My news is that I've got myself a running coach! Ive had time to approach a few folk and work out who fits me best etc while I've been away as it's an individual thing. This one is all encompassing, so strength training and nutrition plus training. I'm not a believer in age being a barrier to running excellent times, but at the same time, I don't want to spend a couple of years trying to figure out myself what works and what doesn't.

I need to be frugal to afford this, so you need to keep me strong. Especially those who share my love of clothes and make up, em, Fluffy, laska, looking at youSmile. I don't need any winter clothes that I can think of, nor make up (bar a tinted moisturiser that I've physically run out of), nor boots.

I've weighed up which is more important and the running is.

Today we are going to walk into town to pick up a few little thank you gifts for animal care and watch the sunset from the harbour.

needastrongone · 13/08/2017 06:32

How was your night seacow. I'm so pleased that your lovely DS is doing so well. Gosh, the early weeks of having a baby can so so bloody tough can't they? When you've another to consider, there's to real rest either. You are doing brilliantly. X

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/08/2017 06:57

It's my turn for the lurgy today. I'm pretty pleased with myself though, because this is the first for four months. Given my previous record, that is definite progress.

needastrongone · 13/08/2017 07:12

I hope you feel better soon sunny and that that lurgy isn't too 'lurgyish'Smile

Wheelycote · 13/08/2017 07:46

MorningSmile😎

Loveabaconsandwich · 13/08/2017 07:55

Feel better soon sunny

Sounds like a great decision on the PT need . Only frugal shopping from now on

WreckTangled · 13/08/2017 08:14

Ah I've just woken up and the dc are downstairs having got themselves breakfast. For those with early risers it does get better!

Planning a nsd with a walk then a roast.

ememem84 · 13/08/2017 08:24

need noted - only buy stuff you actually need from now on.

I'm dying to hit the shops for winter clothes. But. Amholding off.

Worst sleep ever last night. In one of the houses on the estate near us they were having a party. Someone was playing a saxophone. Initially at around 10pm they did an amazing version of "Baker Street" then it went on.

I kept waking up in the night hearing a few sax notes and someone yelling "shuuuuttttt the ffffff uuuuuppppp" so annoying. And no idea where the noise was coming from. Dh didn't hear anything so am concerned that I dreamt it.

Staying in bed for a while as I'm feeling a bit off today. A bit sinusey and headachy and a wee bit sick. in putting it down to being preggo and also absolutely not drinking enough water yesterday (and maybe over eating slightly). I feel like I'm hungover.

Luckily we have nothing to do today. Yay!

Cagliostro · 13/08/2017 08:47

Exciting about the trainer need how often will you have sessions with them?

Feel better soon em and sunny

Have a fab trip north I love Brittany!

Am going to a friend's today for lunch and cards against humanity :o we are all taking food to share and I spent more than usual as I got naice stuff in M&S, all fancier stuff that the Caglets wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Because they'll be staying home with daddy. :o

WreckTangled · 13/08/2017 09:08

I want to dye my bedroom curtains because they don't go with the room. If they're only 48% cottons and 52% polyester will the dye work ok?

ememem84 · 13/08/2017 09:28

Sounds like a great day cag I love a bit of cards against humanity. We played with my incredibly straight laced mum once...it was hilarious. Mostly because she said the word "pussy" then was mortified because she'd said it! We play scatagories now...much safer!! Haha! (Dad however loves CAH and a bit of rude word/offensive scrabble)

Jealous of m&s food. I'm having a go at making chicken Kiev today. Last time it ended in disaster and all the butter fell out.

I'm feeling ok ish now. Have drunk a lot of water. Dh is off out in a bit on his mates boat fishing. Hoping he gets some mackerels or a few bass. Yum.

wreck I'd have thought the curtains would be ok. But don't quote me on that.

Cagliostro · 13/08/2017 09:45

I've only played it with my stepkids. The answers they came out with, let's just say I can no longer think of them as kids 😱😂
