Not yet caught up but just wanted to say to Cag it's not pathetic at all to be anxious about selling on eBay or anything else for that matter. Sorry if I made you feel bad about it though Flowers

Cagliostro · 25/07/2017 19:14

Nooo you didn't holly don't worry!

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/07/2017 19:30

NSD. Got £5 nectar points on dhs card. Made £8 matched betting.

Snuggly did your day get any better? You must be so tired with three of them to entertain.

needastrongone · 25/07/2017 20:25

Great advice from Creme, send the email or post on Facebook then let it go. That way you've controlled what you can control and there's no further point in worrying about things you can't. You would dwell if you did nothing thoughBrew

Spends today were £30, other than that, a steady day at work, a run and general household crap.

fluffy, all okay? Pm if you CBA.

needastrongone · 25/07/2017 20:30

Snuggly, these are the hardest days, I promise. My friend with 3 DC in 15 months ( twins first) says so. Does DD still have any time at nursery? You are doing so brilliantly and I think you are doing so brilliantly x

needastrongone · 25/07/2017 20:31

And I posted before reading my most, but you are doing so brilliantly GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/07/2017 20:42

We're OK need thank you Smile

3 in 15 months Shock

Never mind seperate beds I'd have seperate counties after that.

doodledoodudu · 25/07/2017 20:58

Ah, £42 spend last night as we took friends to the pub for dinner. £3 spent in Waitrose on sushi as I bought my dad lunch, £140 spent in Tesco this afternoon as I bought tons for the freezer and things like loo roll, cleaning stuff etc. And £14.98 on weed killer ready for our BBQ in two weeks. Spendy day but my aim is to have a spend free rest of the week. I also did a £10 online scratch card and won £20 Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/07/2017 21:22

Result!

Cagliostro · 25/07/2017 21:43

Am wheezing and throat kills. Awesome. May result in enforced frugality though I suppose :o :o :o

Coppersulphate · 25/07/2017 21:48

LSD here. £13.40 in ALDI on bread, milk, cheese, bleach and a few other things. And £12.50 on cakes for staff in the office.
What am I thinking LSD....over £1000 paying workmen for house stuff...cupboards, walls etc. mega speedy but it's what I stay frugal for.

HollyTheHarrier · 25/07/2017 21:54

Phew cag 😁

Well today was spendy because I ordered a fitted wardrobe. I need a wardrobe and it makes sense to get a fitted one so it uses the high ceilings better, even if the cost is a bit eye watering.

Laska sounds like you're thinking carefully about retirement. The difference in what you get should be more significant than 1% per year though. If you lived until 96 then that's 30 years from age 66, but 36 years from age 60 i.e. 20% longer. So I would expect to get roughly 20% less from 60 than 66. Is that not what you are seeing?

ememem84 · 25/07/2017 21:54

3 in 15 months. Holy moly!!!

cag take care of yourself xx

I'm feeling a bit snotty/coldy. Hoping it's just that I'm tired and doesn't turn into anything. Didn't go swimming this evening. Too sleepy 😴

In bed now with catface. She was getting far far too interested with discovery channels shark week programmes. Sat almost on top of tv watching sharks.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/07/2017 22:12

Evening all, thats really annoying re the soft play place Cag hope you feel better soon. Think it must be summer cold season as everyone seems to be snotty atm!!

Work was busy, got people off sick and on annual leave so its gone a bit tits up. Got the day off tomos which is good, not sure what to do with dd as she is booked into this tennis camp all week but tbh she doesn't seem to be enjoying it all that much. Might let her stay off tomos, she only has to go Thus then as was going to keep her off Friday anyway. The tennis camp was expensive but was also a bit of an experiment to see if dd preferred it over her usual holiday club, she doesn't so fair enough!!

Am thinking on Friday will look to get dd a phone... she is pretty much the last child her age I know to get one!! I need a new one as well so going to have a look around and see what deals there are. She also needs her own key for when she starts coming home on her own in Sept

NSD.

ChristmasSeacow · 25/07/2017 22:41

ememem84 · 26/07/2017 07:04

Need to buy lunch today but that should be it.

Rain rain rain here today. Sigh.

WreckTangled · 26/07/2017 07:29

Today we're going to my grandparents because my grandad has locked himself out of Facebook HmmGrin that's probably it for today.

Wheelycote · 26/07/2017 07:36

Morning all

Wheelycote · 26/07/2017 07:37

Wreck love that your granddad on Facebook!

WreckTangled · 26/07/2017 07:53

I know he's the best! He even send emojis in text messages!

Lonely I have a bike question. Ds is a very confident rider. He's 5 in November and we're going to get him a new bike. He's been riding about three months and rides every day, can stand and goes really fast etc. He's also really tall for his age. We're not sure if he should get a bike with gears or not? In fact we have no clue what bike to get I've been looking at these two... www.bikes2udirect.com/B7002.html

It'll be a Christmas present I just want to know how much money I need to save!

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/07/2017 07:53

Would have been a NSD yesterday but sent DP out for McDonald's for lunch. Although he paid

DD2 still doesn't have any chickenpox. So she has gone to nursery and DP to work so a quiet day here with DD1. We may even venture out as she appears to finally be all crusty Smile

Our weekend away is currently forecast to be rainy. And may be a bit like a building site (if another MN thread is anything to go by).

wreck so glad you have finally made it to the summer holidays. That was one of the main reasons for your new job so good to finally be getting a benefit!

Wheelycote · 26/07/2017 08:03

Aiming for a Nsd

100yearsdotcom · 26/07/2017 09:07

Been trying to catch up with the thread for days and finally managed it! Have had NSD since last Friday and should be NSD today too. Will probably only have taxi fare tomorrow and weekly shop on Friday so all good budget wise. This weekend I am going to start on finishing up some of my writing projects so I can begin to approach publishers! Really need to do this so that if I have any success I can then have more time with DD in the long term.

SnugglySnerd · 26/07/2017 09:20

Thanks Fluffy and Need. Yes it's tiring! Luckily DD is very patient on the whole and usually understands that she has to amuse herself while I feed the babies or settle them for naps. I play with her while the babies are asleep or content on their play mats. Sometimes she likes to sing to them or show them books which is super cute!
She's home for the holidays now. My parents and inlaws will help when they can and dh has a few days booked off work. Also planning a few play dates with understanding friends!

NSD yesterday and today should be too although the weather is so bad we might end up in a cafe or something later.

Hi wreck we sell both Claud Butler and Cuda bikes, they're both made by Claud Butler. Both good bikes, will do more than one ride before breaking! The 18" is an odd 'gap' size, sort of thought up so you need to buy another bike to bridge the gap between traditional sized 16" and 20" and tend to be outgrown very quickly. If he is really tall I'd try to get him on a 20" with gears (it will just be 5 gears, but will help his little legs going round like fury) by Christmas. That said, my 9yr old is still fitting a 20" so you'll need to sit him on some bikes to check sizes. As long as he can get his toes down he'll be good especially if he's confident.

When I'm at the shop later I'll go on the b2b site and see how keenly they've got those bikes priced! We sometimes struggle to beat internet prices, even if we charge trade plus vat, so will check!

Got the massive munchies last night, ate a lot of biscuits! First binge in two months, so I'll take that. I was oversnacking every day before. The stuffed massive courgette was truly delicious, and we had a handful of tiny new potatoes from the front garden. They need a bit more grow in them, but were very nice.
