Best of luck today creme one horrifically busy day, then take it easy to unpack. All you need is the kettle, coffee and two mugs, plus clean pants. The rest can wait!

At a loose end today, as there was no work out for me. Am in the shop, not at home, as it was supposed to be sports day, cancelled due to sopping wet field. I might do some knitting, I might just mn all day.

I never topped mine up with formula, but my milk always came in quick (2 days, and there was so much). All mine lost over 10%, but as they were alert and feeding constantly I never worried, or allowed the midwives to flap and panic me. The more dc I had, the more belligerent I became. But that was me, everyone is different, and I hate it when other people I refuse to call them experts belittle or worry others for their choices. Why can't people just be nice ?? As long as babies are fed, clean and loved, that's all that matters.

SnugglySnerd · 28/06/2017 12:12

Aw Copper that's lovely!

Having a better day today so far. Just had to get milk but no more spending today.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/06/2017 12:14

Morning all, good luck with the move Creme we have been in our new house for a year almost to the day!! Can't believe its been a year actually Shock am sure each year goes by faster than the year before.

My sofa has been collected by the British Heart Foundation so am now sat on the floor Grin really hoping the chap I have got to pick up the new one can do it tonight. Has meant I have had a reason to do a bit of a spring clean so have been busy hoovering and dusting!

Raining here so my plan to get out in the garden is on hold... good for the plants though Wink

MeadowHay · 28/06/2017 13:25

Well, after finishing my very long application I learnt a very important life lesson - ALWAYS READ THE GUIDANCE FOR APPLICANTS THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU START THE APPLICATION. Because I've just seen in it that you need your own car and driving licence to be considered. I don't have either. Wasted lots of time but serves me right and taught me a valuable lesson!
Still annoying though Angry lol. Sigh. Oh well. I knew that job was too good to be true!! It would have been excellent for me too.

Creme Good luck with the move!

mammymammyIRL · 28/06/2017 13:40

need to catch up with you guys!

Coppersulphate · 28/06/2017 14:56

DP's son is 56 and he and his now wife have been living together for about 5 or 6 years. All families are crazy.
They are not back yet but the little two year old girl thought it was great. She got a very pretty new dress and a lovely bouquet of flowers.
No one else knew. Presume Gretna Green provide witnesses.
Anyway the cake was good.
NSD.
Decorator was supposed to come but put me off last night. Is coming on Monday.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/06/2017 18:26

Hope today went as well as it could em and cag

SnugglySnerd · 28/06/2017 18:34

Life it really is cold isn't it?? Haven't had the heating on but I did put my coat on to go for a walk and wrapped the babies up.

ememem84 · 28/06/2017 18:41

Well today was as crazy as expected. The service was held at local crem. We arrived half hour early and had to stand out in the foyer because all seats were taken and no standing room inside the main room. some people complained because they had to stand outside in the rain. Service was quick. Only 20 minutes.

Went to the pub after and I swear there must have been about 300 people there. Mostly family which was nice as we hadn't seen them all for ages sad that it had to be an occasion like this.

The pub would have made some serious cash money this afternoon though.

We've stopped at beach cafe for chips and cheese for tea naughty

Wow everyone's been chatty here
Well done meadow
Copper that's the way to do a wedding - hassle free Grin and very frugal Smile

Seacow you've been given lots of advice here & i just wanted to say you do what's right for you & your baby x
One thing I learned just before ds was born was reason I didn't have enough milk for dd was because my iron was at a crazy low level & no one told me this would affect my milk production - 3.5 years too bloody late for dd! Had a much more successive time feeding ds but he was mixfed too as I wasn't able to express enough to keep up with his demand while I was away Shock

Ds has just had his first bloody knee - actually I think it's first one for both my children. Not just skinned but properly bleeding. He's coped well with it.

mammymammyIRL · 28/06/2017 19:27

Em well done to your dh
Creme wow moving day was super quick! How did you pack up your home so quickly? Hmm

WreckTangled · 28/06/2017 19:32

Mammy poor ds! My two are always falling over.

Em that's great news.

Top up shop was £22 Angry

Cagliostro · 28/06/2017 19:34

Fab news about the promotion. Thanks for mentioning about iron levels affecting milk production mammy I had no idea about that either!

Day actually went really well :) seems like all has moved on. One family member was incredibly moody but SIL actually took us to one side to reassure it was nothing to do with us being there, but she's been this moody all week 😱😂 so meh, not letting it bother us.

Absolutely shattered though and not feeling so well so curled up under a duvet now

WreckTangled · 28/06/2017 20:21

Fluffy Covea phones me earlier asking if I had my courtesy car etc and to apologise again and ask if I got my wine. I said I had etc but I was still really annoyed because I could easily have had my courtesy car by Monday lunch time if hey had used he correct garage (one by my work which is closest to our house, only a mile from where my car was instead of one twenty miles in the opposite direction to both my house and work) and if they'd spoken to me when I originally called. She started saying 'well not necessarily we do say it can take up to 48 hours blah blah blah'. I told her if she stopped quoting the small print at me and thought about it logically then surely she could see that it shouldn't have taken as long as it did, regardless of the maximum time they allow to get a courtesy car out. She said she would pass it onto her manager.

What I was wondering is, if it was you, what would you do? I think they're hoping I'll take the wine and be done with it but I'm really annoyed about it all! They also said on the phone they would pay Peugeot for the assessment they did only to then tell me that was incorrect (they have backed down on that) so the whole thing has been a disaster. What I want is half my £400 excess paid Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2017 20:28

I'd stop taking phone calls from them & make them email you instead. I never take phone calls off them.

I would take the wine & complain again about the chaotic process & see what happens. Bullett point each bit you weren't happy with. Hopefully you'll get some Compo, you've paid them good money for this and so far your not happy.

I had a non fault years ago and used an accident management company, I had a courtesy car next day. They claimed everything off the other driver.

WreckTangled · 28/06/2017 20:35

Thank you I will do that Smile

Loveabaconsandwich · 28/06/2017 20:49

Today wasn't great, I cried twice Confused. I think I was more stressed than I realised and a tw*t of a driver shouted at me so I cried on the train to work. Pulled myself together, got bombarded with a question from a colleague before I even sat down and then she made the mistake of asking me if I was ok. Which set me off again Blush . One of my colleagues did save me from my red eyed sniffly embarrassment by saying to our brand new overall boss that I was suffering from bad hay fever Grin

Oh well, looking forward to going to bed. And tomorrow is a new day.

Coppersulphate · 28/06/2017 21:12

Oh dear Bacon, sorry you've had a bad day. Hope tomorrow's better.

Wreck, persist. Tell them you are very unhappy with the poor quality service and that if they do not compensate you then you will have to complain via social media. Firms are neurotic about their public image. And Fluffy is right. No phone calls. All in writing.
Glad it all went well Cag. Definitely a little boy Cagletini.

ememem84 · 28/06/2017 21:16

Two posts left on the thread!

Non day for me, got nothing done at all. Did dog sit for one of our race guys who looks after his sisters handbag dog. It's smaller than my cat, and he's 6'4" so an odd couple! It trembled on my lap for the whole time he was out testing some boring bit of bike tech.

Just spent £10 joining a new bookie to unlock free bet, but only lost 53p of it. Matched betting is slow going. Am on my 3rd bookie, and am £37 up. I might need to withdraw my float soon, as July looks to be a tad underfunded.

Start fresh tomorrow bacon Flowers

needastrongone · 28/06/2017 21:55
