girlie dd2 has a cloth with a weight in one corner which she feeds down each piece of clarinet, just to dry the spit out of it (ugk). So glad none of them chose the trombone, they have a wee drain, at the school concerts they have to drain them onto the floor during the performance, truly revolting!

Spent €6 on a knitting pattern for a cardi for this christening in may, will buy the yarn tomorrow. And £11 in our nearest shop as ds needed lollies. But he had a bite of cheese! This is massive. One of these days he will eat normally, and the uber fussy can't try won't try thing will be forgotten.

mammymammyIRL · 31/03/2017 20:49

Aww guys I'm touched. Just been reading from most recent message back & you guys noticed I wasn't around. My dc barely notice when I'm not around Grin
This was week 3 of bootcamp plus on Mothers Day - dh had another bout of irrational unreasonable behaviour & it ruined my day & I didn't want to drag ye all down Angry he's been working nights this week & I've been on a slow simmer. My dsis is taking part in an epic cycle for charity tomo 186km so I've decided that dc can stay home with dh & I'm going to go celebrate her achievement with her. I'm surprising her too & my parents Smile looking forward to the time away from being a mother, wife, house manager(home life in general!) Smile

Will catch up with all yer posts tonight in bed.
My spends this week have been €2 on gym to do bootcamp homework last night, really enjoyed. I'd never used trx before. It was 500m on rowing machine & 50 trx rows followed by 400 & 40 etc down to 100 & 10.
My cousin visited after that & didn't leave until 23.55 & my alarm went off at 5.30 & I'd to make lunches for me & dc plus wash up after cooking dinner last night before leaving for 6.30am bootcamp, mega tired now Smile
Joint account spends were €3.74 on salad stuff, €9.85 in butchers yesterday(2 local steaks & a chicken fillet for last night) we'd warm chicken & bacon salad followed by steak with stir fried veg & mixed frozen veg & she brought Rozanna Purcell Notella balls for dessert)
€30.09 for meat for week for family
€24.30 on Ariel costume & birthday card from Amazon(birthday card to make free postage! but it's a fab one with instructions to make a fairy dust jar so dd will love it)

mammymammyIRL · 31/03/2017 20:51

Oh ya & €2 on Ladybirds, found that in a change jar Grin

mammymammyIRL · 31/03/2017 21:14

Meadow that was really generous of that girl, nice that you'll make her a thank you card too

Snuggly your babies are really small don't be too hard on yourself.

Bacon that is incredibly idiotic of that shop assistant Shock

Need your hens and their enclosure are both fabulous. Our hens enclosure is taking shape once more, maybe in a few weeks we'll have hens again Smile
Creme egg creme egg brownie how apt Smile
Wrecked we want an experience by wonderful experience account of your holiday when you come back Envy

CremeEggThief · 31/03/2017 21:33

Mammy, sure I could hardly say no to it!Grin Nice to see you back. I'm exhausted just reading how busy you are!

Need, lovely chickens and dog. My friend I had lunch with today got 4 chickens 2 weeks ago, and she said she's already getting 2-4 eggs a day from them, so they must be happy and settled. Aw!

Sainsburys delivery came this evening. £44.26 will come out on Monday.

Meal plan:
Today: veggie burgers and wedges with raw spinach leaves, as salad.
Tomorrow: pizza.
Sunday : Quorn roast with roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, broccoli, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
Monday : probably omelette and salad for me. DS can have omelette, scrambled eggs on toast or a veggie hotdog.
Tuesday: Quorn and veg stirfry with wholewheat noodles and blackbean sauce (from a jar).
Wednesday: red lentil Bolognese with spaghetti.
Thursday: same.
Friday: bean burgers and wedges.

MeadowHay · 31/03/2017 21:51

Creme Your meal plans always make me hungry!! Envy

CremeEggThief · 31/03/2017 22:00

Really, Meadow? I'm honestly not much of a cook at all! Very kind of you though.Smile

MeadowHay · 31/03/2017 22:10

Creme Tbh I cook very similar things to you myself but it is still all yummy stuff even if it's not super complex. And because it's all veggie I'm just like "mmm, fancy a good bean burger now" and that. Grin DH had his dinner out with colleagues tonight so I made myself stir fry which was just broccoli, courgette and bean sprouts with noodles and sweet chilli sauce. Yum yum and there is enough leftover for him to take to work for lunch tomorrow too.

CremeEggThief · 31/03/2017 22:16

Sounds good, Meadow. Nice 'n' crunchy.Smile

Strawberrythief87 · 31/03/2017 22:24

It does look like a good meal plan Creme however you've also made me want to make some Creme Egg Brownies, might need to do that tomorrow night...
Need I loved the picture of your Hen's, I've always wanted some chooks and we seriously considered before moving to the city but we've currently in a flat so no chance here, might be some time before that dreams a reality.
NSD here so thats all good but still no word on the interview!
My meal plan for the week (using up as much from the freezer as possible) is:
-Chinese gammon and a stir fry
-Salmon and bacon with lentils and spinach and broccoli on the side
-Cauliflower, potato and pea curry
-Black beans with peppers, salad and avocado
-Veggie fajitas with kiwi salsa
I only ever plan for 5 nights as theres always something that comes up and I can't stand food waste!
Hope to make tomorrow a NSD as well but might get some garlic and ginger from the market

ememem84 · 31/03/2017 22:45

Went for a drink with work to celebrate my promotion. The boss bought the most loveliest champagne. Mmm. Had a small glass then switched to orange juice. The bar we were in brought me skinny fries. With truffle oil and Parmesan. Because boss made a deal out of me being preg. Ha! Waitress said I didn't have to share. Double ha!

Dh was out with his work too. He forgot to put parking payment up for the whole day. So paid for half day and forgot to go back at lunchtime. Parking ticket so that's £60 we owe. Damm. It would have been the same cost to not bother to pay for parking.

Other than that nsd. Will catch up properly tomorrow. In bed now

LonelyOversharer · 31/03/2017 22:46

We have 18 hens, mostly tiddly bantam anconas and some ex-bat's, and a cockerel called Chicoletta (for the paw patrollers out there). No danger of me sharing a pic as they are so muddy atm. Bloody rain. I need to get a new bale of straw to put down (again). Lay lots of really good eggs though. Your chicken run looks really good need

em has been quiet today.

mammy Flowers sounds like you need a day off. Can I come round and give your dh a kick up the bum please?

LonelyOversharer · 31/03/2017 22:48

x-post em Glad you had a good promotion celebration. You deserve it.

ememem84 · 31/03/2017 22:55

lonely thanks. The hard work continues on Monday...

Me n catface are curled up in/on bed respectively. Dh is watching tv snoozing on the couch

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 31/03/2017 23:09

Have bought the borders - I am so sure you lot are so sick of hearing about the bloody borders, I know I am Grin anyway thats £94 but hopefully will mean a very lovely garden!

My mum is kindly donating half, bless her.

Today has still been ridiculously spend though Shock

Sorry mammy and knitting I struggle with names at the best of times and am very easily confused.

Em sounds like a lovely evening.

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 06:58

Morning!

Glad you're still see mammy

Sounds like a lovely evening em

Today I gave a bikini and eyebrow wax that'll be £35
Need some more foundation £10ish
Need to post some bits to HR
get coffee
Pick up my prescription

And just to make everything better I got my period and a sore throat Angry just what I need on a long haul flight.

Sold something on fb for £15 they're coming later today.

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 07:24

Oh I need fuel too as my light is on

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/04/2017 07:26

Shopping yesterday came to about £80.

Out to an EH property today

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 07:28

wreck oh nooooo!!! I always used to get my period before big flights. For me it always seemed heavier too. I guess because I was stressed about the flight.

This may not work and it may be coincidence but I found tonic water helped with cramps and making it less heavy...

Sore throats I get a lot too. Get to a health shop and get manuka honey lozenges.

mammymammyIRL · 01/04/2017 07:29

Girlie those borders are class! We don't have anything yet around our lawns because I don't like regular kerbs or sleepers Smile must check out if your borders are available in Ireland.

Wreck not much you can about period at this stage but at least once it's done it won't affect rest of your holiday. Sore throat though, medicate it so you feel as well as you can.

I've booked a session with someone offering all these therapies for next thurs it's €130 but quite a few friends have found their way to total health by attending her so I'm giving it a go. My friend said it's the best investment you'll make in yourself, that was the sentence that convinced me to go.

Lonely you're right, I do so I'm taking myself off to my parents 100 miles away for the night tonight & partying with my sister. I can't afford it but I'm owed €500+ from joint account so I'll take a bit of that back Smile

Cag delighted ye have been moved up housing list, it's going to make a very exciting year for you guys!

Thanks creme

Had a wobble last week when I thought cleaner wasn't doing her thing but I think it was because au pair was away and she potters at odd jobs while ds is at play school & that wasn't happening when dh & I were on duty

Strawberry I cook up a gammon in slow cooker for use in sandwiches/carbonara/egg fried rice/salads etc

Sunny that's great about weight gain, hopefully in a few weeks I'll have good news about weight loss

Rosie that parking pass sounds like a great investment & good that ye'd discussed costs of meeting up as a group too.

Need are you feeling better?

I want these plates! They're €8.99 for two in Aldi special buys this week. I don't need them though. And after a few weeks unsold special buys things get reduced & camping stuff is often part of it

Meadow well done on your 83%

Em I can't have honey way too much sugar! I'm hoping it'll get less sore through the day but it's definitely a good idea to take something with the dry air. I'm annoyed especially because I always manage not to use the loo on the plane but no chance now (I'm really claustrophobic!).

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 07:51

Ah wreck you're diabetic aren't you??? Oops. Yeah maybe no honey then.

There's a herbal throats spray I use (so does mick jagger apparently...he has his own though. We don't share) which is thyme rosemary and lemon. And is quite soothing.

mammymammyIRL · 01/04/2017 07:52

No one up yet in my house but if I go downstairs to have a shower guaranteed they'll hear the click of the stairgate. My razor & shampoo are downstairs think I'll cheat & use upstairs shower (which I hate) and do shaving later on.

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 08:03

Dh is up and about. Cleaning. He's just told me estate agent is coming at 830 to do a valuation. Would have been nice to have been told a bit earlier...

Off to the shower I go.

Today is likely to be spendy. Riding £25. Then garden centre to get new pots for orchids. And new orchids (mine have gone back to sticks and I'm waiting for them to re flower dh wants dlowering ones for estate agent pics).

needastrongone · 01/04/2017 08:13

Stop banging on about those bloody borders Girlie so Gawd's sake, I'm sick of hearing about them..... Grin

I'm loads better thanks Mammy. You course sounds interesting. My take is that running is the best thing you can do for yourself of course he he!

I've now got a bit confused with name changes, all are pretty much sussed but there's one I'm flummoxed about!

Thank you for all the kind words about my chickens and chicken area. I can't claim any credit, DH built it all. But we are extremely fortunate with the size of the garden and they have a good sized area to pootle about in, which I think has helped with the new girls, they can stay out of the way of the established ladies. Less 'pecking order' fights.

Wow, 18 hens, that's lots of eggs Lonely, although you bake too don't you? I've 8 in total now.

Creme I'm more interested in the Turkish Mezze, sounds intriguing, tell me more...

I'm stealing the salmon recipe Strawberry, although I like the sound of it all to be honest!

I'm not sure on spends today. We were supposed to be going out to eat tonight but DH just got back from being abroad (again) last night and has asked to cancel as too tired.

Now have to figure out something for tea...
