Morning all, just sitting up in bed eating dry cereal :o waved DH off to the leisure centre to do his run. Fabulous timing, I have labyrinthitis again, so not looking forward to the weekend on my own. DD has dancing today, got errands in town, and DD has her dance exam tomorrow.

Sorry girlie I can't remember how I cleaned the clarinet! My dad still has my old one (which was originally his), I can't get a note out of it these days. A stick with a cloth attached maybe? Recorders have a stick like a big needle and you thread cloth through the eye and stick that in :o and I have similar for the flute (it's slow going on that too).

Wheelycote · 01/04/2017 09:26

Caglio - labrynthitis is the worse! Take it easy todayFlowers

LonelyOversharer · 01/04/2017 09:45

Oh cag the sea sickness. I've had it too, and never felt that sick when actually at sea! Stay as still as you can...not possible I know. Good luck to your dh, but that is bloody awful timing.

Am only just up! Unheard of lateness, need a coffee as I've a headache, usually had 3 by now.

Can you get one of those chloraseptic (sp) throat sprays wreck really good and numb it all up for ages?

Coppersulphate · 01/04/2017 09:45

Sore throats seem to be a thing on here.....that and pregnancy.
Wreck....have a good flight ...as good as possible with 2 DCs and your period. And great holiday. Keep posting and tell us all about it.
Cag, good luck to your DH.
Just off to town to get more potting compost, canes for beans and probably other things that I don't need.

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 09:59

cag oh poor you. Do you have any sea bands? If so put them on stat. And lie as still as possible. When I've hd labyrinthitis previously I had to lie flat on the floor. And do nothing. No phone. No book. Just lie there.

Cold flannel on forehead seemed to help too.

Take care of yourself lovely x

Coppersulphate · 01/04/2017 10:02

Is labyrinthitis like seasickness? Nothing worse.

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 10:33

Cag can Dh do an Epley manoeuvre on you?

My throat doesn't hurt now Grin

Well that was the most painful wax ever. Period is so light so it wasn't that but she used hot wax on the whole thing Shock

£36.50 wax
£6 charity shop on fat face top, boden hoody and vertbaudet shorts all for ds
£22 boots
£6 something tesco
£2.50 on a birthday card for my dad from the dc

Cagliostro · 01/04/2017 10:40

Ah thanks guys. Yes it's like seasickness I suppose! In some ways I'm used to dizziness anyway (just a different type, as it's caused by tachycardia and low BP) so on the plus side it's not as much of a difference, I'm used to moving slowly etc. Although I have to admit it's a bit galling when on top of morning sickness Hmm. Damn ears.

I remember when I first had it a couple of years ago the Caglets had just started learning Greek mythology. They were really amused to hear I had a maze in my ear and wondered if there was a Minotaur in it :o

Wreck if it's a scratchy throat I recommend gargling with dilute corsodyl. Annoying about the period but at least if you're flying tomorrow evening it will be partly over and done with I guess x

mammymammyIRL · 01/04/2017 12:06

Lost my post earlier - basically that I was on a time schedule going to town as well as a budget Smile
€26 detangling spray for dds hair, this should last about 4-6 months & it's the only one we've had success with.
€12.48 in Argos on a greatly reduced Elsa dress 3.49 & a birthday present for a party dd is attending(now postponed as Birthday girl has chicken pox)
€20.49 in mr price €2 will be reimbursed from work - got birthday invites, roll of wrapping paper, birthday cards, washup liquid(2.5litres of fairy €4.99 vs €3 per litre on special offer in Tesco),adult colouring book & pencils(joke present for guy at work!) poster paints for dc, frozen bath melts , pencils with dds name on

Then went to library paid €3 fine Blush
And joined myself & it was free & now I can use their app on my kindle fire & phone & have access to newspapers & courses online too. Grin

Dropped two bags to charity shop

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/04/2017 12:28

Ah hope you are feeling better soon cag
happy holidays wreck
lovely chickens

£114.90 on NT membership at £10 per month. I got 13 months as they give you until the end of the calendar month you get the membership and a £15 gift card. Not the cheapest but we will get our moneys worth as we are going today to Washington.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2017 12:30

Hot wax should be less painful, some would actually like to see strip wax banned for any where but legs and arms. But, hormones is hormones no matter what.

Yesterday was;

£44 haircut. Look 5 years younger in my mind
£10 cat pills
£3.50 new toy mouse for the cat.
£4.50 cava.
£10 fish and chips.

Cag you poor thing. Do you know how far along you are yet?.

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 12:35

I always find the hot wax more painful but they usually only use it in certain places then use warm wax on the rest! I should start packing really and sort out some travel insurance for everyone else. I've done mine!

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2017 12:39

Did they talc or oil you first?.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 01/04/2017 12:40

I really feel for you Cag, the dizziness was the worst part of pregnancy for me, I remember it well. Hope you get some relief from it soon and I deff second trying to get someone to do the epley manoeuvre for you, it works wonders.

We've had a lovely relaxed morning (finally) and once DS gets off the boob we're going for a second look at the new nursery he's starting at the end of the year and to go round the hobby farm it's attached to. Will likely end up being a bit spendy as DH is already saying he wants lunch there Hmm

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 12:41

She definitely wiped something on there Grin not talc felt like an antibac wipe Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2017 12:55

You're meant to put oil on there, hot wax ought to to be much less painful than strip.

Ever since I started retraining I've been so shocked at how therapists cut corners.

mammymammyIRL · 01/04/2017 13:44

Made my sandwich & filled my water bottle before starting my journey & have some fruit with me. It'll be a NS journey Smile
Pondering a stop at shopping centre with dh's gift card if I have it with me for clothes for dc at H&M & penneys on my return journey tomorrow

Cagliostro · 01/04/2017 13:54

I shall google the epley thing! Thanks.

Made it back from town, spends £14 co-op (dinner etc - going for convenience above all else tonight and still cheaper than a takeaway) £30 some birthday presents for DSDs and £1.50 in charity shop on something I've been hoping to find for AGES - big set of Geomag!

mammymammyIRL · 01/04/2017 14:00

Sounds like a very cost effective haircut fluffy far cheaper than a facelift
I definitely found waxing more painful when on or due period. Are you sore now too after it wreck
Need I agree regarding the running, I've packed my gear for a run either at my parents or on some part of my journey back tomo.

I got three recipe book out from library Jack Munroes a paleo vegan cookbook & a sugar free one also

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 14:01

I was but its ok now Grin Dh is just putting some washing on the line and I have another load on. Will do the bedding and towels tomorrow (we won't need to take towels with us).

LonelyOversharer · 01/04/2017 15:25

Right, quick question...could never post in style & beauty! I ran out of time this morning and left my hair down to dry. It is always scraped back into a knot, so I never really look at it. I am shocked at how many white hairs I have! Two definate streaks, and seemingly millions of others. If I dyed my hair a lighter colour than it is naturally, will this tint the white hairs and leave the rest alone? I actually like the colour it is, a mid slightly gingery brown, and don't want it to have a 'dyed' look iyswim. Poker straight, very long.

I used to dye my hair, but haven't for 8 years, about the last time I went to a hairdresser. So I am a bit clueless understatement

Went to tescos for lunch and baking things. Am doing pizza for 12 tomorrow, plus cakes for tea time. Got my nephews an easter pressie too so it was £30.

SunnyLikeThursday · 01/04/2017 15:25

Welcome back mammy. Good luck on the weight loss. I'm up 9lbs now in less than a week, which is very exciting. It's mostly crisps too. Who knew crisps were the answer to everything?

Girlie I'm always up for hearing about gardening - borders or otherwise. Gardening is what I do when I'm off the hook for everything else.

I've been frantically busy with planning our next trip to the far distant dentist, and with visiting a robot building event. It was fun to see the robots and ds had a great time.

Had a nice morning, dd had a good riding lesson and we then went into town to meet my mum for coffee.

Spends
£2 parking
£5 gift for my friends littles boys bday
£3.50 Wilkos, cleaning stuff.
£2.50 on a nice card for a posh bday do we are going to tonight!

There was a fair on so dd wanted a go on the rides, limited it to two rides but that was still £5! Plus another £5 on ice creams Shock they were delicious though Grin

We are going out tonight to this bday do, its a family friend who is turning 70, should be a nice evening.

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 15:40

Lovely riding lesson. Pony well behaved. No jumping today. Watched everyone else do it. Sad but limiting risks to myself. So sensible.

£25 spent.

Came home and dh is cleaning and sorting. Catface is sunning herself on windowsill.

Am meant to be helping clean and sort but can't be bothered. May start packing winter clothes away later. Have done two loads of washing though.

needastrongone · 01/04/2017 16:19

I'm not sure about the hair thing lonely tbh. I have a lot of grey hairs, but am naturally dark, so I get it dyed. Far too often probably, I hate the grey.

Had a quiet but productive day. Lots of gardening done by DH. Lots of gardening, ironing, sorting and general chores done. Some boots collected, sold on a FB site. Listed a few other bits.

Frugal win. Bought a Prada jacket on a FB selling site for £35. It arrived today and is in pristine condition and stunning, really chuffed with it. My sales will cover the cost anyway so I am evens.

Quick sit down and then I'm going to recheck my stuff for tomorrow and make tea.

Spends.
£40 DS driving lesson.
£3.90 for sawdust for the chickens.
