Meadow can you ask for the hpv vaccine now? Surely they'd listen if you told them that when you were a minor your parents refused consent?! I think DH got the mumps vaccine as an adult because he hadn't been given it as a child

Cagliostro · 13/04/2017 09:10

Breakfast of kings today at my parents' - waffles maple syrup and bacon 😍Then off to London with dad because there's a board game exhibition. Cag ❤️️ board games!!!

LonelyOversharer · 13/04/2017 09:49

So tired last night! The tt went well, had 20 folk there, and a herd of cowsConfused, but almost all my cake, biccys snd flapjack got hoovered up. I was shattered as I worked out split lap times and corrected finish times double quick, too much maths for my old brain!

Just spent a few quid in the coop on rolls for the dc's lunch.

Am going to get my beans and peas started today in the root trainer pots I bought (and didn't use) last year today. Want some more mange tout seeds, in yellow and purple pod, won't be expensive. But it's one of the greens that we all (except ds of course) eat, so worth growing in volume.

Slept 9 hours last night, don't do that very often!

SnugglySnerd · 13/04/2017 12:10

Oops! Just took DD1 out for hot chocolate at local nice cafe and accidentally spent £15! Not all on hot chocolate. The cakes were you delicious to resist and they were selling local asparagus on the counter. I love asparagus and just had to get some as it's the first I've seen this year.
So far today I've eaten 2 croissants with jam and a large slice of tiffin. That's not good is it? I'll have another bump if I carry on at this rate!

SnugglySnerd · 13/04/2017 12:10

*too delicious to resist!

CremeEggThief · 13/04/2017 12:58

Sounds a much better use of your time than the chores you were doing yesterday during research time, SnugglySmile.

Well done for feeding the 5000 again last night, Lonely.Star

Welcome back, UnescortedSmile.

MeadowHay · 13/04/2017 13:06

I agree with Creme about your trip out Snuggly, enjoy yourself Smile.

Cag No I don't think so, I looked it up awhile ago and it said even if you hadn't had it they wouldn't give it to you past age of 18 or 19 or something. I know what you mean because DH had some vaccinations when he was about 18 or 19 for something he was meant to have in childhood, I can't remember what it was now but something he had missed and he got it done at the GPs but I think they have different rules for different vaccines iyswim. Sad I mean I could maybe get it done privately? But £££ is a problem!

Today should be NSD as I'm just going to hibernate at my parents' house and do some revision and some relaxing intermittently.

Cag I love board games too, enjoy the expo! It sounds like it would be boss.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/04/2017 16:28

NSD.

I used to love tiffin!.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 13/04/2017 17:48

Had a lovely day today, caught up with my good friend and her kids, went to a lovely park and the children played for hours. The only spends were £5.20 ish on hots chocs and a cake.

Its been colder today but dry, am loving just looking out the window at my garden Grin

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/04/2017 18:13

I just accidentally tail-ended a solicitor lady at 3mph in almost stationary traffic. She was not at all friendly, but fortunately my car insurance people were super-nice about it and said I never have to talk to her again. Phew!

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 13/04/2017 18:25

Oh no, I've done that. Easily done.

Poor you. It's not like you did it on purpose.

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/04/2017 18:38

Thanks fluffy. Oddly, I've always wondered how on earth people can do that. Now I know.

OP posts:
SnugglySnerd · 13/04/2017 18:47

Oops, Sunny. I've done it too in the courtesy car I had the day after my own car was rear-ended! It's easily done.

Could eating too much sugar give me a headache? I've had two really bad days food-wise. People keep bringing round cake and biscuits which is lovely but I keep eating them and I now have a banging head. I'd like to say that I'll eat more sensibly over the weekend but Easter eggs!

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/04/2017 19:09

sunny you must have felt quite bashed having that happen two days in a row. Sorry to hear about the headache. I hope it goes away soon.

We went swimming today and it was great fun. Ds used to hate water and this is only the second time we've been swimming.

Last time he was so knackered afterwards that we all got flu for a month. I'll be crossing my fingers this week and also feeding him lots of iron. It was great fun though.

Cost £25 what with getting in and buying googles and paying for parking.

Meadow I dip in and out of here. usualy when I have taken a robust view on another thread. Occasionally I have been followed around on other boards. When that happens I take some time out so the followers get bored and don't start hanging out here. It has been a while because I antagonised both the transgender brigade and the Brexit peeps.

Last night I logged back in to explain about Piccadilly Gardens & it getting worse so thought it rude not to say hi to friends.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/04/2017 19:57

Yes too much sugar can give you a headache as can withdraw from it.
I've done that loads sunny, usually into BMW cars as it happens.
Sounds lovely snuggly.

Back home now and on WiFi. Didn't spend as much today as new balance so was rubbish can get cheaper on tinternet.
£8 rowing boat, £20 lunch and £20 dinner.
Lovely few days.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/04/2017 19:59

It must cost you a fortune in baking stuff lonely.

Loveabaconsandwich · 13/04/2017 19:59

I think not eating well can make you feel unwell seacow. Not judging, I have the worst diet. McDonald's today Blush. Too much Chocolate can give me a headache Sad

Our bedroom is now painted and I have carpet shampooed too so the room now smells amazingly clean. Room is still quite empty- DP and I have agreed a major declutter. Result!

My first valued opinions £10 voucher arrived today and about to order my second one. Bit fed up of surveys now though but hoping to get to a third voucher before the end of Easter holidays.

Ah sunny hope you are ok- some people can be quite rude. Avoiding saying anything rude about solicitors though Wink, I know a few

Loveabaconsandwich · 13/04/2017 20:06

Sorry I meant snuggly

CremeEggThief · 13/04/2017 20:33

Glad you had a good holiday, Life. Hope you're having a good time visiting your parents too, Meadow*.

Spends: £7 bus fare; £4.95 new P.E. socks for DS; £2.99 on a cute dress from H&M for my niece; £2 Poundland; £7.50 lunch from Pret; £11.49 Tesco; £6.50 cinema (I saw "Beauty and the Beast", which I liked) and £1.50 can of lemonade at the cinema. £43.93, I think?

SnugglySnerd · 13/04/2017 20:46

I feel a bit better now but Dh nipped out for some tablets just in case.

Coppersulphate · 13/04/2017 21:11

Oh Dear Sunny, sorry to hear about that. So easily done and no need for rudeness. It's only a car. No one was hurt and the reason it's called an accident was because people don't do it on purpose.
£18.50 on cinema for me and DGD. Saw the smurf film about a lost village. She enjoyed it.
Then messed around in the garden all afternoon.
My plants have been going out each day to harden off. Have planted caulies and brukale ( cross between kale and broccoli ....not sure how to spell it). Tomorrow putting in runner beans and broad beans, cabbage and swede. And repotting strawberries if I have time.
Keep safe Wreck...the BBC are reporting humongous storms in NZ North Island.
Seacow, glad DS wore his hat.
Lonely and Snuggly I do not know how you manage it all. You make me so tired just thinking about all you do.
Enjoy London Cag.

needastrongone · 13/04/2017 21:19

Lonely, that's some work you did for the TT, no wonder you are knackered. Well done.

Snuggly I lived on chocolate while feeding the DC, my diet was awful. It probably wasn't the best idea to live on chocolate though.

Good that you had a great holiday Life, but nice to have you back on Wi-fi too. Smile

Great that you had a lovely day Girlie, so good to catch up with good friends. I agree, I'm happy if it's dry, whatever the temperature.

North I am often in awe of how mature the young can be, your DD sounds wise and sensible, could teach the older generation a thing or two.

Spends.
£20 Lidl.
£20 speciality beers for DH, we are not going out this weekend.
£15 Personal training session.

Had a super day with the DC, long dog walk, lots of chat and a lovely tea. Quiet but enjoyable.

ememem84 · 13/04/2017 21:36

Our flats been on the market since technically Monday and I'm sick of it already. Three viewings this week (third tomorrow morning at 9....). Dh agreed to it. I told him to cancel. Which is silly because I want to sell but not silly because it's a freaking bank holiday and I want to sleep. Exhausted doesn't cover it.

I'm also sick of living in a show home. I can't find anything. Dh packed away a whole lot of my stuff to make the place look nice for photographs and my tshirts are damp as he put damp towels in the drawer. Sigh.

On the plus side, nsd. I had sausages and chips for tea. Dh was out until just now. I've just picked him up and he's told me about tomorrow's viewing. He's out early in the morning. I'm not.

Bets on agent not cancelling and letting himself and prospective buyer in while I'm still in bed/hopping out of shower? 🙂

needastrongone · 13/04/2017 21:39

Em It's short term hassle and you also must have a marketable place if you have had 3 viewings so quickly. Short term pain, long term gain. Keep going. x
