Lidls bottled water at 17p tastes remarkably good.
nsd yesterday.
Off to see family today and may have to buy lunch out.
We put an offer in a house and someone else has offered too so its nail biting waiting. We sold our house through estate agent before even putting it on market to a buy to let person. Worried about all the money involved. We don't need to move and shouldn't really as other place needs work. Anyway sun is shining. Smile

Hope you hear soon all

Oooh Wreck! Envy Enjoy!

Taytocrisps · 09/04/2017 09:53

A bit cloudy and misty but I'm hoping the sun breaks through and we get another lovely day. I'm planning to get lots of bedding washed.

Should be a NSD.

Good luck with the bidding allthebest

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/04/2017 10:13

And so we wait......

Who would be married to a member of the emergency services....

Strawberrythief87 · 09/04/2017 11:04

Hey everyone
A busy few days here so haven't had the chance to check in.
Friday went to IKEA and me an dp split the bill for spend about £45 each on storage, a bench/coffee table, bedding and plants and got a huge dinner for free
Yesterday we had a lovely picnic in the sun and met with a friend who is helping us do some of the paperwork for the wedding. Spent about £5 in Lidl (partly on an easter egg I ate all of yesterday)
Today I've been doing a bit of wedding planning stuff this morning, trying to get all the addresses for the guests and finalizing the invites we're going to be printing ourselves then I've got the swimathon this afternoon and then after swimming 5k we're planning on finding a pub for a good roast dinner. Fingers crossed we can get a space in a garden!
Had a quick look through and it looks like everyone's been having fun in the sun and preparing for taking a few breaks.
Good luck on the house allthebest

I've missed something Lifelong - what are you waiting for?

Tights Fluffy Grin

Wreck that looks amazing. I am Envy

Spent £80 last night on dinner and karaoke. Oops. Probably a good thing DH couldn't come too!

Today will be lsd but I really really fancy my first Mr Whippy of the year so might have a spend there.

I need my toenails painted now there is a chance I will be getting them out... but I can't comfortably reach my toes! I will see if I can bribe my sister tomorrow even though she has previously refused to touch my trotters I don't really enjoy pedicures, oddly. Would rather touch my own feet.

Housework is getting away from me a bit. I am seriously considering a cordless Hoover as that is my biggest problem - I just can't manage hefting the Miele around at the moment and I think I would do it much more often if I had a lightweight cordless. I think someone recommended one upthread?

Odd morning so far.

I got a text from a neighbour whose family have all the same health problems as we do, saying how cheesed off she is that the medics can't help. This makes me feel better as she is a consultant herself in the hospital. Confused

Then went to church where they have just discussed in every single committee what to do about the fact that my eyes can't tolerate the massive new screens they've bought. Their decision is unfortunately to keep the screens rather than me. When I walked in this morning they all looked as though they felt guilty about it. It was odd.

I just went home and sat in the sunshine with a cuppa. No sense wasting sunshine and spring flowers when they are there to be enjoyed. We are thinking that we might try a different church next week.

The weather is really stunning here.

fluffy is right sadly. As are worn shoes. Especially if you list them as "trashed". I've got a pair of leopard print ballet shoes listed at the moment. Bought for £5. Current bid £24. I've noted that they're worn worn worn and that I'm pregnant. So many feet/preggo fetish strangers have sent me messages. Someone wanted to know if I'd given birth in them.... Confused. I'll put up with it for the cash...

Nice morning so far. Dh went paddleboarding I sat on the beach with my takeout bacon roll and flask of tea and a book. 19 degrees and lovely sunny sun sun.

Then Wandered round a car boot and had an ice cream. Spends today £5 approx.

Taytocrisps · 09/04/2017 12:34

I cleared out DD's wardrobe. About a third of her clothes were hanging in the wardrobe and two thirds were lying on the bottom of the wardrobe! We weren't quite sure if they were clean or dirty so they're now in the wash pile. We've half a bag of clothes for the charity shop and two lovely (but too small) dresses from Next which I'll pass on to my neighbour as she has three girls and one of them is a little smaller than DD.

We unearthed two of DD's favourite t-shirts and a pair of skinny jeans so she'll have more clothes going forward Smile.

We still need to do the tackle the drawers but we've agreed to do one a day (over the Easter hols) until we get through them all.

Wish the sun would come out Sad.

MeadowHay · 09/04/2017 12:35

Fluffy I had to read that about 5 times before I got what you meant (damn ASC lol). Grin That's a difficult one because on the one hand I'm thinking I could just totally fake that and get some money which would be good. But then on the other hand if I donate them to charity somebody with barely no money can get a lovely pair of brand new tights for pennies which seems like the nicer of the two options really doesn't it? Sigh. I'm too kind for my own good sometimes Grin. Although my Converse are really dying and will be getting rid soon so there's an option for them!

Whoever asked about pricing (sorry I read back and always forget who said what!): I listed the tights £2 and the tunic £5. + 2nd class postage for both. But I could re-list for less?

Wreck Holiday looks lush!! Very jealous.

NSD today. The weather's gorgeous but I'm stuck at home revising. I want to go to the park to revise there for a bit to enjoy the weather but my anxiety is pretty bad for some reason so doubt I will make it Sad.

Sunny Sorry to hear about the church, I hope you find one that is a better fit for you and your family. Flowers

Strawberry Loved reading about your wedding prep, I loved preparing for ours. Spent like 18 months on it like it was a bit ongoing project and then when it was over I felt like I didn't know what to do with myself!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2017 12:49

Yesterday;

£8 Easter egg, will get £2 back.
£2 hot cross buns but stuffed the receipt up so I have to pay.
£3 vitamin E capsules.
£1 parking
£25 meds for his Royal furiness.

Wreck it looks beautiful.

Cagliostro · 09/04/2017 13:16

Aw sorry sunny that's disappointing :(

Seacow I don't like the idea of a pedicure either. Mainly because my feet are really ticklish and someone would end up getting kicked in the face. Accidentally I mean. :o

Chilling at home as DH has taken the Caglets to the neighbouring town for a bit. More laundry to do, also played some piano, I might watch a DVD.

ememem84 · 09/04/2017 14:07

I need a pedicure seacow if we were closer I'd volunteer to do yours if you did mine!!

We're off to my parents later so I may utilise the time in the garden pre dinner to paint my toes.

Ddad is coming over later to help dh switch some furniture around. I probably could do it but dh won't let me.

Just made quesadillas for lunch. Mmm. Cheese spinach tomatoes avocado and srirracha. Le spicy yum!

One load of washing done and all windows are wide wide open (except the bedroom ones - catface is in there and I don't trust her not to try to jump out - it's a three story drop on the window side into a pool so it wouldn't end well for her...)

CremeEggThief · 09/04/2017 14:53

NSD here, just pottering about and doing a bit of decluttering.Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/04/2017 14:57

You didn't miss anything i was being annoyingly cryptic. Dh got called into work out got to 11 and i left. He's still at work, I'm in the lakes

ememem84 · 09/04/2017 15:14

Same here creme our flat looks like parts of it have just exploded😭

Still. It's all good we've got rid of a lot of junk. More junk than I imagined we had.

Another load of washing sorted and on.

Washing up done and kitchen cleaned.

Catface is lounging on the bed in the sun. Looking pretty pleased with herself.

mammymammyIRL · 09/04/2017 15:38

Really pleased 10K done today a minute faster than last day but this one had steep hills which are part of the route for half marathon in June & I ran all of it Grin €10 entry fee for local resource centre.
We came home for lunch. Dinner is roast chicken in a bag €4 super six in Aldi yesterday.

Tayto that was my wardrobe up to yesterday, unfortunately lots of things don't fit me & I'm not buying until I lose weight. Need to do dds wardrobe too, she's really after sprouting, do I wait until after her birthday in two weeks to see what she gets or just go ahead & buy what she needs? Dh has a gift card which can now be used in penneys & H&M(I'd prefer not to use it though as he never buys himself anything. I could buy from Littlewoods on credit & repay weekly.

Sunny really sorry to hear your church couldn't do something to help you out

Dh is gone to sea rescue training, I'm planning to shower, I also want an Epsom salts bath but I know the minute I go in there dc will start fighting, lazy day planned

ChristmasSeacow · 09/04/2017 15:39

Something about the sun is brining out the declutterers! DH has also been to the tip today with some stuff from his study (which looks the same as before TBH) and our garden waste. He's now outside with DS while I potter inside. Beds stripped, washing on. Currently trying to find DS's summer hats from last year - he needs to wear one outside anyway and I need to make some sort of Easter bonnet with one Hmm for nursery easter parade. Joy of joys. DS has always refused to wear any dress up so I am expecting him to refuse to wear this... but hoping if I start with a familiar hat he just might put it on.

Possibly it will help if i adopt an 'easter in Sodor' theme Grin

allthebestplease · 09/04/2017 16:22

We got the house 😊 now the paperwork begins....

Cagliostro · 09/04/2017 16:29

Yay all!!! 🎉😀

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/04/2017 16:31

Good news all.

Loveabaconsandwich · 09/04/2017 16:35

Great news all

Love the Easter in sodor christmas. I'm sure Thomas could easily get up to mischief with some Easter eggs Grin

mammay I'm probably going to be with you with buying more children's clothes. Oldest is growing and growing. May have to be another trip to primark next week but may turn it into a proper shopping trip with a journey on the train. Which ends up spendy but DD will Love it

Not been well again this weekend. Had a great sleep this afternoon so hoping this is it now as I've had my unwind from work and will be ready for two weeks off. Think it is a mix of exhaustion/stress/anxiety Sad

Loveabaconsandwich · 09/04/2017 16:37

Eww em and fluffy on eBay. Are you saying I should've sold my clothes my water broke in?! Yuck but actually em sounds like she's captured the market Wink

ememem84 · 09/04/2017 17:01

bacon yep. Absolutely. Apparently there's a very niche market for stuff like that. Bizarre. But hey ho.

We're done with the declutter. Finally I hope
