Thanks folks. :) I am not going to rise to it. I'm a grown up. :o please ignore my jam donut talk earlier

Meadow well done for today, glad you get a break for a bit now. Tiresome that even the adults are arguing! Totally get you about disciplining the teens though, I struggle with that. And yet my 19yo DSD is like a major expert at it, she works in playcare in the holidays so she has to do this stuff all the time. I saw her in action when we visited the centre once, my heart burst with pride and admiration. :)

Oooh em Envy at the ice cream. I've been wanting a mr whippy since the ice cream van came the other day and we didn't buy one. Hoping it'll be back soon. What flavour sauce is that?

LonelyOversharer · 08/04/2017 18:48

cag absolutely sod them. Not their business, not their lives. Do not allow yourself to get upset by this.

em I am Envy about everything in that photo. Your sky is bluer, your nails are lovely, your icecream looks very good. Hope you had a super day!

life will pm you, but we're quite a bit further north of the lakes! Have a great time, you stay with family?

Have been pre frugally spendy today, but, instead of just buying stuff, I had a list, and all things have been considered. This is so different for me! £50 in sainsburys, £30 was clothes for dd1,2 and ds. £45 in pets at home, used 2 vip coupons. £30 in argos, 4 nerf water pistols (dp gave me the money for these) and £12 in homebase on compost and a grafted cucumber plant, £4 b&q on turbo screws (they didn't have big bales of compost).

I also rollerbladed with dd1 for 4.5 miles, which we both enjoyed! Have ordered dd2 a new pair, amazon £70.

ememem84 · 08/04/2017 18:48

meadow exactly. Never say never again. I rode when I was a kid but had a bad fall aged 10. Mum said no riding again until I could pay for it myself.

I talked it up and up and up to dh and only got back in the saddle about 3.5 years ago. Best thing I ever did. I was 29 and was determined to do it before my 30th.

It's pricey here £25 per hour group or hack and £30 private half hour so it is a luxury but I don't do anything else which involves money (other than the gym which is paid for in one lump sum). Wonderful stress release too.

Taytocrisps · 08/04/2017 18:55

It's been a gorgeous day here. Too nice to cook so I picked up a frozen pizza and some garlic bread. If it stays nice, I might persuade DH to have a barbecue tomorrow. The only thing is, the bright sunshine is showing up -all the- any dust lurking around so I'm aiming to get up early and do a quick blitz around the house. Then get outside at the earliest opportunity.

DH has gone to visit some friends so DD and I are about to watch 'Finding Dory' on DVD.

ememem84 · 08/04/2017 18:55

cag its salted caramel sauce. The ice cream lady said some people say no to salted caramel sauce weirdos

Also I've apparently developed an "I don't give a fuck" smile. And a "that's nice, you're an idiot" noise. Dh says I'm more tolerant of fuckwits now I'm pregnant but also am more capable of putting them down nicely. No preggo rage here. 😂

sunny I've said to dh I'll stop riding the earlier of 6 months, when I feel unsafe or when my jodhpurs don't do up. Grin

MeadowHay · 08/04/2017 19:12

Just spent £59 on groceries from Sainsbos which will arrive on Monday evening. Mainly for DH as I'm going away in the middle of next week.

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/04/2017 19:14

Cag, ignore them.
Well done em, no stirrup is not easy
Hope needs comp is going well. They have fab weather for it
Nice ice cream em
Family static caravan lonely. Just us there though.

£5 spent at birthday party. £46 in tesco on discontinued soap powder, joggers for DS, first British strawberries, and a top for me I didn't need but really like

Cagliostro · 08/04/2017 19:28

Salted caramel!!! Double Envy
I resisted the salted caramel hype for ages, thinking WTF is that, but my mum bought me a dessert at a restaurant which had it in, and I was instantly hooked. Le. Yum.

Sunny Evian is usually my bottled water of choice, and since last year I also love Smart Water, tastes lovely and is quite cheap compared to proper mineral water. Sometimes our tap water tastes chloriney anyway but it all tastes wrong at the moment. Hmm Still this bit should be over soon!

Is Finding Dory any good?

MeadowHay · 08/04/2017 19:58

Neither of my ebay listings sold Sad. It was a pair of black tights brand new still in the box and a black tunic top also brand new never worn with tags on. Any tips? I can give them to charity but I feel super bad about buying the tunic and never wearing it so thought I would try and get something back at least given it's brand new thought someone might like it (both things are just a bit too big for me).

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/04/2017 20:07

Cag i find sainsbury on label squash is nicer and it doest have aspartame in it

CremeEggThief · 08/04/2017 20:27

Rose's Lime cordial is sugar only and no sweeteners. I am another lime and soda fan. It's my default choice in a pub or restaurant if I'm not drinking alcohol.

Updated spends: £6.60 return bus fare and £7 café with my friend. We went to the café that has the creme egg brownies and had one each and two lattes. It was a fab afternoon, sitting outside for a couple of hours in the 18° sun. Grin

Taytocrisps · 08/04/2017 20:44

I soooo want creme egg brownies!

CremeEggThief · 08/04/2017 20:48

That's twice I've had them now in 2 weeks, Tayto.Grin

Cagliostro · 08/04/2017 21:37

Thanks for the squash tip :)

I got a free creme egg the other day, they gave them out at Brownies (the club not the cake) and DD doesn't like them! Win for me :o

ememem84 · 08/04/2017 22:08

Cream egg brownies????

ememem84 · 08/04/2017 22:08

What sorcery is that?

CremeEggThief · 08/04/2017 22:33

The same café also do salted caramel brownies, apple crumble muffins, blueberry cheesecake muffins and other delectable delights, all for under £2.50 each, Em. So you get a cake and a large latte or cappuccino for £5. I don't even want to think about how much Costa or Starbucks would charge for that!

WreckTangled · 09/04/2017 04:10

Hi all. Having a lovely time and spending loads of money Blush we're going here next week canopytours.co.nz/ and to hobbiton tomorrow. I'm just having a beer on the balcony.

You have to tell me which cafe creme.

Looks awesome wreck

ememem84 · 09/04/2017 07:01

wreck looks lovely! Keep enjoying. remember money spent on holiday in another currency doesn't count

Enjoy hobbiton. I loved it. So cute!! There's a nice pub in matamata which does really nice pizza (can't remember its name...but it's middle of the street lots of cricket memorabilia high tables...)

LonelyOversharer · 09/04/2017 07:34

wreck fabulous! Have a wonderful time.

Had a quick squint on pintrest, wow, my choc loving dc will go bananas, I shall have a go at them (the scotch eggs look good too).

Up early. Dp off for his group pedal, and I'm determind to get my willow tunnel in today, so coffee then garden.

See you in a few days frugaleers unless i get WiFi in places.

mammymammyIRL · 09/04/2017 07:55

I think I'm now fully caught up Smile
Wreck looks amazing
My spends last night were €24.60 as I still went in rounds with dss & dh as neither of them have much money either but no taxi home to pay for or chipper either so it's all good. I'm tired but eager to do my run too.

Soda water & lime is lovely I really enjoyed it.

Dss set up ShowBox on android box - I haven't had the patience & now dh is a bit more ok with the android box, he doesn't like not being able to flick channel but we're not getting back into paying €60+ a month just because he finds android box awkward Grin

HollyTheHarrier · 09/04/2017 08:04

Meadow how are you pricing the tunic? I generally find you have to start bidding very low. It wouldn't even occur to me to look on eBay for tights so I wonder if that will be a hard sell.

I had a low ish spend day yesterday, £3.60 on ice creams for a fellow runner and me after our race. Then £2.something on a top up shop on my way back. Might go to the supermarket today if I have time, but going out for a run to make the most of the sun first

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2017 08:21

Tights are probably worth more worn and unwashed on eBay.
