Grin at comedy cat.

Have a lovely time miss a

£86 on lunch, £28 on ds trainers but reduced from £40. School shoes exchanged and new ones £9 cheaper, £2 parking.

Cagliostro · 12/03/2017 17:08

Ooh I like Ask. Clubcard vouchers are awesome aren't they? I must redeem some soon, I have like £70ish so when you Boost that amount that's a lot of meals! :o

I could murder a big takeaway or meal out tonight but there are fish fingers in the freezer and a few other bits so that'll do. DH is off tomorrow, we are off to a mini convention (small I mean, not the cars!) but might have some time for a complete food inventory perhaps? We need to do a shop for Tuesday but it's about time we really properly used up what we already have.

I listed a load of books on FB but no bites yet. If this doesn't work I'd like to do one of those sending them off for money things? Is it ziffit or something for books? What's best? They aren't scruffy but not perfect either IYSWIM.

Snuggly poor cat Grin

Awesome trainers Wreck

Been at work all day but its been o.kay for a change, dd back now from my dads she has had a lovely time, he took her to see Kong which she enjoyed although my dad said it was quite violent!!

Finances not looking too bad this month so have put some more money back into savings to try and boost them up after having to dip into them last month (bloody car!) That said have just written a cheque for £105 for dds holiday club over Easter - thats for one week Shock so still need to be careful for the rest of the month.

Am thinking ahead to the summer hols and looking at booking dd into tennis school, that works out at £120 ish for the week, thinking she could do that for one week and her normal holiday club for one week, then I am off 2 weeks and the Grandparents have agreed a week each. I think thats the 6 weeks covered!

MissA I really want to go to the Scilly isles, I looked into it but staying there is so expensive.

Brightermornings · 12/03/2017 17:32

Hello everyone 😀😀 I've 3 items ending on eBay tonight. 2 have bids 1 hasn't. I'm hopeful the Elsa meerkat will go for maybe £30 there's lots of watchers.
So yesterday I went out for a few drinks and it ended up being a couple. I felt awful had to come home fell asleep about 9ish last night then woke up 8ish fell back asleep till 11 this morning. I do not know what that was all about. I haven't had any late nights Thursday and Friday I did slightly longer days at work. On the plus side I didn't end up spending much.
I've got quite a few things coming up where I need to spend. I feel guilty because I should be trying to pay my debts off but I'm also single and usually at home I'm alone. Dd is either in her room or out with her friends. It's hard trying to balance things.

Needastrongone · 12/03/2017 17:41

Cag It was www.webuybooks.co.uk/ that was so good for me last time.

We've had a nice day. I asked dh and ds to help me with the housework this week and the three of us blitzed the whole house in an hour. Now I will have time to go for walks with dh and have a chat during the week. This is looking very positive! Much cheaper than a cleaner and better for us all learning to work together I think. Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/03/2017 18:20

£5 beer.

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 18:38

NSD

Spent £259 on children's clothes yesterday, and ds1 paternal grandparents bought me lunch.

Feel really down today.

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 18:39

Oh and I made £43 on shoes and jodhpurs selling on eBay.

Tryingtosaveup · 12/03/2017 18:41

Love your trainers Wreck.
Snuggly....soup, you made soup, with week old twins and a toddler. You are miracle woman.
Miss A, I would really like to go to Sicily. Is it for a particular subject, ...don't say if it will out you, of course. I would like to know what the weather is like there in March though.
Congratulations on the car Ipso.
NSD.
Hoping to plant my onion sets in the next few days, when I have cleaned the house after the builders.

SnugglySnerd · 12/03/2017 18:44

Thanks, Trying! I'm quite proud of myself actually at this stage with DD I hadn't managed to get dressed yet!

We also achieved an NSD!

Been busy entertaining DD over the weekend, nothing strenuous just doing puzzles, reading books etc. She's at nursery tomorrow so hoping for a bit of rest.

Brightermornings · 12/03/2017 18:49

Polka what's bothering you??

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 18:53

Money things this week was scary, I'm still off work and college and my boyfriend hasn't spoken to me for 10 days. I just feel a bit overwhelmed I think.

Although today was productive, tidied up the children's wardrobes, showered, made dinner, etc.

Brightermornings · 12/03/2017 18:57

I know that feeling well. Why's he not speaking to you??

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/03/2017 19:02

Try getting it on paper polka. I find lists help when I'm feeling overwhelmed.
What's going on with bf?

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 19:02

He was reminded a month ago of something I did over a year ago, by bumping in to someone in our small town. Since then, I've seen him once, and he's just 'gone' on me. I emailed him at 0500 today so I'm hoping for a response this week.

I don't feel myself because I'm not working or studying, the money stuff was really hard and I'm not allowed anything. Which I understand, but usually I'd pop out for a coffee to cheer myself up and I can't anymore, financially and actually physically right now.

Sorry, I know this isn't an emotion thread. I'm doing great with the money thing though, I'm making instead of spending and my parents are really happy with my efforts. I guess a feel a bit of a let down, to my bf and my parents.

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 19:04

I used to have a diary, and writing the email to him after 10 days of NC was helpful. I may go and find my diary, thank you.

allthebestplease · 12/03/2017 19:04

polka so sorry boyf is being like that. Not much of a boyf id say.

Had a lovely 4 mile walk with great views, then lunch in a country pub, friend bought dinner for my birthday and I bought cake and drinks 🍰 🍸

Cagliostro · 12/03/2017 19:07

Thanks Ipso I'll check them out!

Polka that sounds an odd reaction from him! But you are doing SO well with the money stuff. Hold on to that. You're not letting anyone down, you are confronting the issue, that's amazing! Also, this may not primarily be an emotional thread, but do say what you want to anyway - it is very welcoming and kind and a lovely safe space to rant, get advice and seek comfort. I don't know where I'd be without it frankly. Thanks

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 19:11

He's gone silent before when things are hard, he's not horrible by any stretch, more unable to cope, but enough is enough now. I was kind but firm in the email and hoping for a response soon. What I did wasn't very nice but we dealt with it then, I've not repeated it, and have shown my regret and remorse. I'm so ashamed of myself for it, I can't turn back time and have tried to start a discussion on the feeling of resentment with him and what damage that will do us.

I also had to turn down a night out last night, for physical and financial reasons.

Thank you for the ears ladies, you are a lovely bunch.

The dc were so happy with their new bits and pieces, that cheered me right up.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/03/2017 19:17

We don't mind emotions polka. Emotions and spending are very intertwined. Do you have stuff in to make a fancy coffee. Warm the milk and whisk it up, sprinkle some chocolate on.

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 19:19

I used to have pods for my tassimo machine but I'm not allowed those right now. I'm having a chamomile tea, nice and soothing. I have some chocolate but I'm not hungry today.

Made packed lunches for the dc 😊 so that's more points for me.

Brightermornings · 12/03/2017 19:19

I agree I know I spend when I'm stressed then I'm even more stressed!!
Polka how long have you been together??

PolkadotPony · 12/03/2017 19:22

I met him 5 years ago. He was actually with someone when I met him, we haven't always had a straight forward time of it. He left, and we are together. In a nutshell.
