knitting this line made my day:

"Not done much yet except put the phesants in the slow cooker."

Wreck is your insulin pump attached to you all the time? Gosh!

WreckTangled · 01/02/2017 13:00

Yes Cath 24/7 I take it off for a shower Smile

ememem84 · 01/02/2017 13:33

wreck wow! I didn't even know they could do that! Amazing!

So. Work have been told but to keep it on the down low for now.

cag love Rowan. It's very Lord of the rings.

I'm also a lover of Thorin. Dh says it's too out there. But what does he know. It would absolutely work with our surname.

WreckTangled · 01/02/2017 13:35

If I don't wear it for too long I'll die.

Em this will be catface https://brightside.me/wonder-animals/this-cat-fell-in-love-with-a-baby-before-he-was-born-and-now-guards-him-all-the-time-107355/

CathodeRayTube · 01/02/2017 13:41

Wreck that's very impressive.

I used to work with a bloke who was Type 1 diabetic and totally blind and he ran a reasearch group and travelled a lot. Astonishing fellow. People who manage with complex health conditions are properly impressive I think.

allthebestplease · 01/02/2017 13:52

em brilliant news congrats 😤 Flowers

PaintingOwls · 01/02/2017 14:10

DD is desperate for a little sister called Thalia

You could call her Nathalia for long!

mammymammyIRL · 01/02/2017 14:11

wreck fabulous coat, I'm envious of your figure stamps feet I want mine back now

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/02/2017 14:12

Welcome Student.

I wonder how many people will tell you to rehome cat face now you're pg em?.

Cathode Excellent news. You've got over that fairly quickly.

£13.49 Eve lom rescue mask. My skins gone feral so I've bought this to get rid of the "meth addict" look I'm currently sporting.
£4.50 piriton syrup to calm my skin
£2.50 magnesium sulphate paste for my skin

90p cat food.

Cagliostro · 01/02/2017 14:28

Nathalia is pretty! ☺️

CathodeRayTube · 01/02/2017 14:49

LOL! Fluffy I've only had four potatoes to eat today and I'm really dizzy when I stand up, so "got over it" might be going a bit far. I'm glad to be eating again though. Smile Thanks!

Still and NSD here.

dh is taking ds to the GP later without me, to try and get the right bits of paper to deal with the school. Hoping so much that he manages to get the story straight and doesn't sound unconvinced of the facts that I'm presenting. Advocating for a kid with a complex health situation is such a tricky business. Crossing all fingers.

mammymammyIRL · 01/02/2017 14:52

cath fingers crossed your dh doesn't mess things up!!

Good to hear you're eating again.

mammymammyIRL · 01/02/2017 14:54

Thread looking for best frugal tips

CathodeRayTube · 01/02/2017 14:57

Thanks mammy. I think he's had a hard week. He's been looking after ill ds while I've been holed up in bed. He's pretty exhausted now and not very well fed. Tricky week really.

CathodeRayTube · 01/02/2017 15:41

Mammy maybe you could invite the OP from that thread to join us over here?

mammymammyIRL · 01/02/2017 15:54

Oh cath I have done that!

Needastrongone · 01/02/2017 16:22

Afternoon.

I agree Knitting, every baby is different. I think the folk that struggle are the ones that tie themselves up in knots trying to do it the 'correct' way. When there isn't one, as we all discover.

Love the coat wrecked, suits your slim figure. Good for you for getting on with it, there's no reason not to that I can see. The DC have a few friends between them that at Type 1. If there's one lesson I teach the DC and nothing else is not to put barriers where there are none. Positive mental attitude and all that. Smile

I think you would rock the 'meth chick' look Fluffy....

Another gem from Seacow, don't worry about things you can't control. Smile

Spends
£40 Amazon, using a gift card.
£65 fuel.

Finished work for the week. Weird....

SnugglySnerd · 01/02/2017 16:26

I love Willow and Rowan too. I would like to use Rowan for a girl but it's my friend's husband's name so not sure if that would be weird!

NSD.

Lemon12345 · 01/02/2017 16:28

Em congratulations! That is great news!

Cleaner came yesterday, so £30.

New mattress is too tall for our fitted sheets. I wanted new bedding anyway, but it would easily be £50 for 2 sheets from most places I've looked at online. MIL suggested IKEA but I'm not convinced they do super king (at least online they don't).

DM just called, asking if we want to meet somewhere for tea. I'm not sure I want to go. She's been shit (is the long and short of it) but she's still my mum and some idiotic part of me wants a good relationship with her. But then I don't want to spend £30 + drinks to hear her moan. DP hasn't replied to my text yet, I don't want to force him and I know he will say it's up to me, but I feel bad planning stuff without even an okay from him (since he's my carer/chauffeur when out and about). Her cheaper option of somewhere to go would be £20 + drinks, but further away and with a long wait for food which will be painful (physically) for me.

CremeEggThief · 01/02/2017 16:35

Just say no, Lemon, as you're obviously not up to it. Don't feel guilty; just say you'll re-arrange for whenever you're feeling better.Brew

Willow is a very special name to me, as it's my departed dcat's name.

Spends: £9.70 travel to work.

Needastrongone · 01/02/2017 16:45

I've got no advice Lemon, but I have a very difficult relationship with my mother too, so I understand the complex feeling of still wanting to 'please' her, gain approval. But it basically being a negative influence/emotion in my life. So I give you Flowers but no advice as it's hard.

WreckTangled · 01/02/2017 16:47

I agree don't go Lemon nothing you've said there makes me think you want to go even a teeny bit.

Thanks it's a very slimming coat I actually have a really flabby stomach 🙄

Chicken casserole for dinner with part bake baguettes. Yum. Such a cheap tasty meal, dc will have theirs whizzed into soup.

Not heard about the job so assume it was given to someone else

Lemon12345 · 01/02/2017 17:05

Thanks for the advice. You're all right, I don't really want to go. I'm not up to it and been in a lot of pain recently. Just always feel bad saying no, because like Need said I want to please her and make her take an interest in me. It's really rare she initiates anything with us. I also feel bad because my DSis will be there, and she's got it hard enough living with DM!

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/02/2017 17:06

Don't go Lemon, stay in and look at bed sheets. Try "just linen", I got Sheridan flat sheets for our bed in the end. Much better.

I bet I didn't spend £50 on them either.
