allthebestplease · 01/02/2017 20:14

bean sounds like a tough day sending Flowers

I read a really good short about someone stealing pheasants by giving them sleeping tablet, but then all the birds woke up!

At the mo i Am reading a book titled Enough, its quite interesting.

Nsd Mon, tue, wed, am going for a hat trick.

We paid £2000 off the cc this month 😢 hoping there will be light soon but think it will be a year yet.

MeadowHay · 01/02/2017 20:20

Spent £10 on a stretching and flexibility class that I went to with a few of the girls from the pole fitness group at uni, and then £1 on taxi contribution. Absolutely exhausted now, everything aches, and I had to clean out the guinea pigs' cage as well before and now I have to cook tea. But I am just going to shove a quiche in the oven and I have some chilli potato thing to microwave and tinned veg or whatever. Not a super interesting dinner but food nonetheless!

Been Sorry to hear you had a tough day Sad.

Wreck Your cat is gorgeous!! So fluffy!! I should post a pic of DGuineaPigs sometime. They are tiny fluffs. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/02/2017 20:26

You'll get there All.

Lemon12345 · 01/02/2017 20:34

Thank you all, so nice to have support.

Been sounds like you are having a rough time. I would probably of had a cry at all the stress too.
I hate traveling on busy trains and buses. Some people are just so rude.

I'll have a look in TK Maxx for bedding if we manage to get there this weekend. Turns out DP might have to work on Sunday, and I have 2 appointments on Saturday so not sure if I will be able to cope with a trip into town too. Although if DP is working Sunday I can spend all day laid flat in bed to recoup (play on laptop) and the wheelchair is still in the car.

I always like pet pictures!

Sorry for the double post AGAIN! Internet is playing up something royal here. I'm about to chuck the router across the room. Spent 10 mins trying to bloody post that.

Beeneatingburnttoast · 01/02/2017 20:47

Thought I'd treat myself and open some posh shower gel with essential oils from last Christmas. I now smell like Dettol Grin

Tryingtosaveup · 01/02/2017 21:24

Sorry you're having such a tough time Been. Is your boss just being unreasonable. I would definitely have a good cry.
Lemon, glad you didn't go to see your DM. Think it was the right decision.
Def TK Max for sheets or Dunelm. They're both good and not too expensive.
Em, honestly you can't even have a baby without Beyonce copying. But the important thing is your baby frugaleer will be much better and you will be the bestest mum.
Cag, heard anything from housing?
NSD, except for 1x toilet , 1 electric shower, 1 wash hand basin, 1 radiator and 1 electric towel rail. ( not counting all of that because I am burying my head)

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 01/02/2017 21:31

fluffy they were still warm! He was just home from a shoot, and has a freezerfull already. They are delicious, but dry (lack of experience cooking I think, thought long and slow was the way to go), will cut small and put in a pie for tomorrow.

Needastrongone · 01/02/2017 21:49

Hope you are okay Been.

Are you okay Life, still feeling anxious? Wine

7 mile club run tonight and hoovered up my pasta. Club captain approached me tonight to see if I fancied training hard enough to be their fastest female, the current one is getting a touch above herself, thinks she needs someone to beat her. I love a challenge. I think I just might, now the gauntlet has been thrown down. Competitive, me?!! He he..

mammymammyIRL · 01/02/2017 21:50

Ooooohhh need fighting talk Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 01/02/2017 21:51

Bean that is a bad day Chocolate Cake Brew Wine take your pick!

Lemon your last double post made me laugh!

Thanks for the advice re the water company, i dug the letter out and it does actually say the reduced bill will start from next month Sad ahh well, need to dig out the council tax bill as well and check whats happening there.

I forgot to say that ystd I took both my cats to the vets for a check up, they are both doing remarkably well given one is diabetic and one has an auto immune condition! Was quite pleased, boy cats insurance runs out in a month so the vet loaded me up with loads of insulin, needles and test strips. Have gone back to the cheaper insulin as there was no way I could afford £75 a bottle for the expensive one!

On a less positive note my car seems to be playing up a bit, its run out of oil again (was only filled up a month or so back) will pop it into the garage tomorrow...

Needastrongone · 01/02/2017 21:53

Grin Mammy

Tryingtosaveup · 01/02/2017 21:53

Em, did you not suspect you were pg? I thought and hoped you might be. Was it a complete surprise. Hope so. Best surprise ever.
Go on Need, go for it girl. You can beat her.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 01/02/2017 21:55

Need you are the fittest person I know, you can so beat some try hard Wink

Needastrongone · 01/02/2017 22:07

Grin at Girlie and Trying. I was a very fast runner a few years ago, pre- injury. I think the speed is still there, I just need miles in the legs. Sadly, that doesn't happen in a few weeks or months. Good fun trying though.

I also fancy doing an ultra marathon, 2019 for that challenge.

ChristmasSeacow · 01/02/2017 23:47

I think Beyoncé is actually copying Snuggly with having twins, but her timing was obviously designed to steal Em's thunder. You can get your own back Em by out-posing her. Better get yourself a gold veil thingy.

Been that does sound like a really shit day Sad. I must confess to laughing at the posh Dettol though.

Run Need run!

Girlie is that it for pet insurance after next month? Will it be hugely expensive for you to pay the true costs?

I have been knitting all evening but might need to undo it. I put it down in a huff to come to bed HmmGrin

CathodeRayTube · 01/02/2017 23:55

I just did my numbers for the month and it was quite an interesting one.

We blew £1300 on the roof.
(those four squint tiles were worth every penny. Argh.)

A 2 year fixed rate bond matured paying almost exactly for the roof.
(Depressing to have it go so quickly on something so boring, but at least we are watertight now.)

I finished the month a little bit down from last month, but it was because we ate really well this month, and in a way, I do think that is worth it, especially in January when there is no sunshine to perk everybody up.

One small victory - the column in which I record money spent on myself had something written in it this month. Not a lot, but something.

Take home message for me this month - we should have bought a bungalow, or a house with a ridge on the roof that could take a ridge latter. Hipped rooves are expensive to maintain as they require scaffolding. Lesson learned.

LOL! At Beyonce. Grin Em will do it all far more stylishly, and she is ours, so nuts to any tv personalities who might try to rival her.

Cagliostro · 02/02/2017 03:34

Oh totally, Beyoncé babies YAWN it's all about the baby Frugaleers!

I LOVE thorin em it is 'out there' but lovely! Orin is nice too and I like arwen for a girl. Any nice NZ names?

Been big hugs I hope Thursday is better.

I lost all my bids, not by much but I'd put my maximum. Definitely the right thing for me to avoid eBay while the bidding ends as I know
I would've ended up increasing my bid! Anyway NSD though I may now get a small thing I'd also wanted for £4.

I can't sleep thanks to yucky cramps. PMT has me a weepy wreck this month, I felt fearful at sodding POWER RANGERS earlier FFS 😂😂😂

Wow need an ultra ShockShockShock they require serious dedication, time, emotional & physical strength & fitness.
A half marathon will be the furthest I'll go I'm fairly sure.

Brightermornings · 02/02/2017 06:01

I'm awake 😱😱 should be at my desk for 7.

Needastrongone · 02/02/2017 06:18

Good stuff Brighter. Soon the mornings really will refer to your username, and that makes it easier all round.

Mammy Not much more training than a marathon really, just more savvy training and miles in the legs over long period of time, Don't forget I've done 7 marathons and was used to running 50 miles a week, every week. It's about fueling and mental toughness after a certain distance. Sounds trite, and I don't mean it to be so but the dedication is easy because I want it badly enough iyswim? Meant a lot of 5am runs when the DC were tiny!!! That's not meant to sound wanky btw Grin

I'm up too, dpony was ANGRY yesterday as we left him in all day due to the weather (still got to go down and do hay/water etc), he will be ballistic now ha ha.

Ocado delivery today.
£15 personal trainer.

WreckTangled · 02/02/2017 06:42

Pheasants need hanging for a good two to three weeks.

Go need!!

Well done brighter! It's easier in the summer, I start at 6:45 on a Tuesday. I like the quiet.

Should be a nsd today as I have work and no money to spend Grin

Dd has woken up saying her hip is hurting I think she must have slept on it but also she has Zumba yesterday. I know she doesn't have problems with her hips though as she had a hip scan as a baby.

Whoever asked ages ago it was patisserie Valerie I was in. Mmm my favourite!!
