Hi italian! Good to see you Smile

£1 today on toddler group. £2.79 on some emergency dummies and some sweeties. Otherwise no spends today. Spent the afternoon tidying up the front garden / mowing the front lawn etc. I have also tidied and swept our ridiculously messy garage as a surprise for DH who has been threatening to do it for months but hes been so busy with work he hasnt got round to it yet.

Let DS(3) make dinner tonight under close instruction (pasta bake!) and he was delighted - must make effort to cook with him more often

I am averaging makeup about once a week at the min - definitely makes me feel more human but I have serious eye bags going on at the min lol

Needastrongone · 20/10/2016 21:20

Good news on the refund life. A relief for sure as they can be arsey about stuff like this usually.

Good news Collie, you sound positive! Fingers crossed.

Could you utilise the slow cooker Creme if you went to a class and ate afterwards. I have to eat after, I can't eat too early either.

Waves at Italian, no useful ideas though I am afraid!

Boxercise tonight and it was really tough. Loads of cardio, loads of weights and loads of core. My arms ache...

CremeEggThief · 20/10/2016 21:29

Oh that's good, Life. Pleased you got it sorted. By the way, I had £17.50 worth of Nectar points added on at Sainsburys yesterdaySmile.

Need, I'm one of the few who don't have a slow cooker! I do have a cast iron casserole, but DS doesn't like casseroles or stews, so I don't use it as often as I like. Monday nights I usually have an omelette and salad when I get in from Pilates, so I suppose I could plan gnocchi or fusilli with pesto in for a night I do a regular exercise class? Bet you will be sore tomorrow, but it sounds like a brilliant workout!

Nice to see you "back", ItalianSmile.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/10/2016 21:42

italian How many weeks are you now? babies used to be 5-7 pounds at birth, now everyone's having 9lb babies routinely.

northender · 20/10/2016 22:05

Fingers crossed collie I'm rooting for you.
Glad you got on ok with your GP genie
Enjoy your pancake breakfast electric, sounds lovely

Managing a frugal week here so far. The fish pie & cottage pie for tea before dd's show worked well and there was enough left over for tea tonight. Dd's show was great, she did really well, I was a very proud mum. She belted out Good Morning Baltimore from Hairspray like a pro.

I've spent £45 on football boots for ds Shock. His 10.5 pair were just too tight and as he's had lots of problems with his big toes (& nails) he needs well fitting boots. Size 12 this time!

ItalianWiking84 · 20/10/2016 22:14

Fluffy I'm 37 weeks and baby dd is estimated 2500 gram. Sorry we don't have pounds here so don't know what it is in pounds

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/10/2016 22:20

That's 5 pounds. If they were that worried they'd admit you to hospital.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/10/2016 22:41

5lbs doesn't sound too bad, small but not really tiny. Are you eating lots of Cake ? Wink

I have had a productive evening emptying dvd cases and putting the dvds into a dvd holder case thingy. Don't know why I haven't done this before, have created tons more space and all dds dvds are now in one place. Will put the cases in the loft I think.

ItalianWiking84 · 20/10/2016 22:48

Thanks fluffy... makes me more relaxed Flowers
No girlie, at the moment I don't really eat loads, there's no room and have really bad heart burn so trying to only eat things that don't make it worse.

Tryingtosaveup · 20/10/2016 23:58

Italian, hope the scan goes well.
What about a mobile for over the cot. You can get them with lights that play patterns on the ceiling.
Good luck for tomorrow Collie.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/10/2016 06:46

Lost my long post.

Good news on the points crème
Rest up Italian,
Relief is not the word about the money. The company were fab about it
Good news on the show north

£130 on car repairs, I owe dd £30 as I didn't have cash to pay the milk man.
Nsd planned today, need to make a shopping list

mammymammyIRL · 21/10/2016 06:48

Place marking was busy at work yesterday & will be busy again today so probably won't get time to check in.

Wiking 2500g is petite but not worryingly so

Ah to be able to fit in regular exercise classes! We've got one night left of our jiving class & it has been really enjoyable.

Covered a class for a fellow leader last night it had very poor attendance.

SnugglySnerd · 21/10/2016 06:57

Good luck with the scan, Italian. 5lbs isn't really tiny.
I'm 18 weeks now and also getting heartburn. I didn't get it at all first time round. It hurts! I can take Gaviscon, right?
Meant to say yesterday Sainsbury's half price toy sale is on this week and Toys R Us next week if people are Xmas shopping.
The Toys R Us one includes baby stuff so we'll be there!

WreckTangled · 21/10/2016 07:39

I don't think that sounds small either. Baby's usually put on half a pound a week towards the end so would weigh about 6.5lb at term which is fine. I suppose the worry is if she isn't putting on weight that could be a sign of IUGR, my nephew had that but still went to term. I love tiny babies mine were both pre term porkies.

Dh has been paid woo hoo. Good job too. Should be a LSD.

Life glad you got the refund.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2016 07:47

Italian

It's what I go by with medics. If someone's left in their own home then their not that worried.

I would ask for prescription strength anti acid from the GP, there must be something they can give you at this late stage.

My mum lost loads of weight with me due to heartburn, she ate Greek yoghurt. The calcium acts like an anti acid, it's high in fat & protein. She was eating 500g a day of the stuff.

NeversellahouseCollie · 21/10/2016 08:31

NSD today :) although I have vowed to drink a pint of ale per every piece of good news we get today.

I could be either v drunk later or very very very sober! GrinGrin

AGenie · 21/10/2016 10:42

I engaged the brain and wrote to my family to ask for investment advice and apparently I've to get an online stocks and shares trading account and put all my ISA into equities. Very exciting. I feel slightly Bridget Jones.

any tips for selling on ebay guys, have some dresses that aren't moving on fb selling group, will list on adverts.ie too

northender · 21/10/2016 11:47

mammy dh and I did jive classes pre dc and really enjoyed it but can't remember any of it now!! Can't help you with ebay clothes selling as I never have clothes worth selling but it has reminded me I need to list some things.

Organising a Games Evening and Beetle Drive at the cricket club tonight so I've been busy printing scorecards , food tokens and other stuff this morning. I've spent quite a bit of money so far today but I'll be claiming most of it back from takings tonight.

Tomorrow night we're going round to friends who are having a Japanese themed party for their son who is off to Japan for a 3 month internship with Mitsubishi in a couple of weeks. I've got a pork recipe but just need panko breadcrumbs and rice wine, hoping Sainsbo's will have them.

mammymammyIRL · 21/10/2016 11:59

I was told on a Thursday that dd's estimated weight for full term was 5lbs, she was born following tues at 37+2 weighing 6lbs 9.5oz!! There was less fluid around her than they had estimated.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 21/10/2016 12:55

Work without make up is interesting. My face feels smooth. And I've actually got more done.

Am meeting a friend tonight. We're having takeaway and in helping her declutter. She is providing wine.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 21/10/2016 13:00

I also found out more about catfaces history. She was born in a house one of a litter of 4 to a house cat.

The owner couldn't home the litter of kittens. So let them out to fend for themselves.

The cat lady I got her from has now trapped the others and the mum. She's reported her owners and the mum has been spayed.

Why? Why do people do this?

We didn't have breakfast this morning as catface left a puddle on the couch again. Sad so I argued with dh about it. I emailed cat lady to see if she had any suggestions hence how I found out more. Makes me more determined than ever to not give up on catface. Poor baby girl probably never knew how to behave in a house. 🐈🐈🐈

WreckTangled · 21/10/2016 14:43

I was told dd was 7lb but she was born the next day weighing 8lb.

There's a £5 off £40 lidl shop in the mail today, my dad gave me his not that he reads the mail BlushBlush

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/10/2016 14:57

Oh no boobs Sad I know you don't want to give up on her but at the same time the cat has to fit in with your life as well. It sounds like she has now decided that that is an o.kay place to wee and it may be really difficult to stop her, might be worth posting in the litter tray section though on mn for advice. You also have to think about what would happen should you have a baby and whether this cat is going to cope with that as well as how much stress it would put on you.... I say all this as a massive cat lover but sometimes its just not fair on the cat or you to keep going. I would do anything for my cats and as it is I inject one of them twice daily with insulin, check his blood sugars etc but if he started peeing on the coach I would have to think seriously about his future. Sorry I realise that is not what you want to hear and probably seems really cold hearted which I'm really not!

Anyhow am having a very quiet day as not feeling that great, have the period from hell and might go back to bed shortly! It will make it a NSD though!
