Right we have one bit of good news regarding the house move. So I am owed one pint of ale.

We're having a really lazy day here. I feel a bit bad for DS but we will have a fun weekend instead.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2016 15:03

I kept ours when he started weeing in the house, it was a bladder infection.

If a cat has an abnormal stress response the lining of their bladders sloughs away and gets infected.

He has two cystease capsules a day to control it.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/10/2016 15:24

Yes would def be worth ruling out any physical reason that could be causing it of course and trying everything else new litter, covering the coach etc....

Shesgotelectricboobs · 21/10/2016 15:32

Its frustrating. But I really don't want to give her up. I think on the whole she's happy. And she's not peeing on the couch every day. I think (apart from the first night) she's done it 4 times in the 6 weeks. No less annoying.

I'm going to do everything I can to stop it. Will post in the litter tray later.

She's fine otherwise. Eating fine (she's not scoffing the food down as much so that's good she's just taking her time) drinking her water - not an excessive amount (I read that's a sign to watch for) and is playing and chirruping and meowing at us.

So she's happy. I think. Unsure of us but getting braver all the time. Given her background I think she's not been socialised properly.

The cat lady told me that this is normal. And we have to break the cycle. She's been really good encouraging us me I'm not letting her in the living room on her own now.

CremeEggThief · 21/10/2016 16:09

I think some cats are just prone to anxiety and it's not surprising yours is, Em, after her start to life. Our cat was never happy in the 6 years we lived in Bristol, probably because there were lots of cats in the area. She rarely went outside and peed on the sitting room window and curtains any chance she had. We tried everything, including Feliway, plug-ins, tinfoil and cling film on the window sill, but nothing worked, apart from locking her out of the room at our bedtime. Even then, we still had to wash the curtains on average once a week for years, until we moved house. Thankfully, she liked the new house!

Spendy day, but got lots of stuff we'd run out of in town and paid the man who cuts the grass. £69.22 in total.

Glad to hear of some progress, Collie. Enjoy your ale.Smile

CremeEggThief · 21/10/2016 16:10

Oops, £59.22.

allthebestplease · 21/10/2016 16:24

Fugal win with Direct Line I got a quote, checked on TCB for john Lewis, went back to direct line and said JL had an extra and were £10 cheaper and they dud something on the computer and matched JL and reduced by £20. So total was £162.

italian my friend just has a 5lb baby so cute and all fine. Mum/friend just didn't put a lot of weight on.

NeversellahouseCollie · 21/10/2016 16:28

Oh yeah that reminds me. We got our car insurance down by £25 per year. Well a saving is a saving isn't it Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2016 16:51

Ours is permenantly banned from the lounge. He clawed the sofa, it was a new duresta & he'd never done that to the leather sofas. Obviously velvet=giant scratching post one can also sleep on in his mind.

Could you put puppy training pads down? Or safety pin them to it if it's a fabric one?. I got told to rehome mine but TBH a cat with questionable toileting habits isn't going to have many takers.

They have long memories too, ours had a bad experience with mil and it was a good 3 years before he'd go anywhere near her. Their sensitive souls these cats.

Re: estimated birth weights - I said to the doctor on the ward that I was worried about DS being too big, tearing etc. She felt my tummy and said no he's about 9lb max. He was born later that day... 11lb14 😂 :o

Spendy day here! Had to get peak train as the exhibition tickets (£5 per adult instead of £17ish so totally worth it) were for 10.15am. So £19ish on trains for me and the Caglets. The gift shop took lots of money though. £7.50 on drawing stuff as I'd promised them they could do sketching as we went round (the graphite stick is pretty cool though), £7 on suffragette replica ephemera pack (DD researched Pankhurst recently), £7.50 socks! £8 Christmas decoration, £8 battle of Hastings book in Waterstones after as I've been looking for one. Saw a few possible Christmas presents as well. Popped into hotel chocolat at the station but mum insisted on paying.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/10/2016 17:30

Cag have you been to the Picasso exhibition yet? We are going next Friday! Ouch btw Shock bet that made your eyes water!!

I have not had a very productive day as felt like crap but hey ho was probably due a sofa day! Collie yay on some good news.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2016 17:31

Ouch. My colleague was told hers was normal sized for her tiny frame but he was nearly 9lb and she had to have a cs. Mw got told off for letting her labour all night. She was never going to deliver him that way.

NeversellahouseCollie · 21/10/2016 17:45

Another bit of good news re: the house. 2 beers for me! Although I actually shouldn't be drinking on such a delicate tummy so I may buy some non alcoholic cocktail mixes instead. Or a fancy hot chocolate.

Yayayayayay!

Collie dreams may be coming true after all SmileChocolateBrew

ItalianWiking84 · 21/10/2016 18:41

Thanks fluffy, you really have reinsured me and I have stocked up on Greece yughurt. I'm already on a strong dose of anti acid so the doctor don't really wanna give me more.
Trying: never seen a mobile doing that, do you have a link?
Wreck: that was exactly their concern, that my midwife didn't think she gained from last app to my app yesterday which was 2 weeks apart. Had the scan today and it seems she gained a bit, but not a lot, currently at 2700 gram so will need scan next week again and then the doctor and consultants will evaluate what their move is. But as the midwife also said to me, I'm 37weeks now so will be min 38 before they'll perhaps induce so I'm not so worried anymore.
Keep: yeah it's ewan the dream sheep, my friend shipped him over here because s we can't get him here Hmm
Mammy: as long as baby dd is healthy then that's all that matters dir us. Dd was also on the small size, weighed 3035 gram and born in week 41 plus 5. We're clearly just not getting big babies.
Boobs: cat hates pepper so perhaps sprinkle some on the couch, should stop her without harming her.

Dh went grocery shopping today and stocked up in case of baby dd saying hallo a bit earlier, 80£ in Lidl, 30£ in supermarket and 10£ at fish man

The £ is so low at the moment so checking amazon for Christmas bargains Grin

ItalianWiking84 · 21/10/2016 18:49

Found the cutest rain boots for dd www.kids-world.dk/petit-by-sofie-schnoor-gummistoevler-sort-glitter-p-67413.html
So cute and glittery... dd loves them so 15£ on boots

allthebestplease · 21/10/2016 19:12

I bought £100 of Christmas presents, I used a website to purchase evouchers for Debenhams which gave me 6% off, then Debenhams had 25% off toys, then I went on voucher codes and got another 20% off toys code...so all in I got £22 off a £100 shop. Plus free delivery.
Well worth it.

SnugglySnerd · 21/10/2016 19:22

Ouch, Cag! Was that a natural delivery?
Good work allthebest.
NSD here. Made lovely leek and parmesan risotto with honey roasted tomatoes for tea, delicious! I've eaten too much today though, I've got that slightly stuffed Boxing Day feeling!
Happy half term all - have a delicious ale for me, Collie!

Wildernesstips · 21/10/2016 19:26

£36 on petrol today.

Hoping for a quiet weekend so I can finally say goodbye to this cold.

NeversellahouseCollie · 21/10/2016 19:30

snuggly so when it came down to going out to buy celebratory beer - we decided to feed the ducks instead. Blush once a Frugaleer always a Frugaleer. DS loved it though!!

The nights are really drawing in now so by next week I doubt we can go to the park after DH gets home from work. Such a shame our park isn't lit.

italian those boots are so cute!!

Cagliostro · 21/10/2016 19:53

It was Picasso we went to today girlie :) it was good, especially since we got the £5 tickets.

Birth was actually ok, bigger babies are easier apparently. Was totally surreal after though as we were like ward celebrities Hmm always knew when the shifts changed as all the new staff would come and see the giant baby! DS is a right shrimp now though 😂

Shesgotelectricboobs · 21/10/2016 20:16

I've beeen for a drink wth my most spiritual hippie friend. She reassured me we're doing the right things and bought me wine

Dh has made toad in the hole and mash. Yay!

Catface has had her dinner (she wouldn't eat it when dh was there but waited till I came home and sat with me and ate it). She chirrupped and purred when she saw me sit down and bumped my leg witn her paw. 🐈🐈

If that is t a happy cat face I don't know what it.

Well let her in the living room when we're around. So we can keep an eye on the pee pee.

Tryingtosaveup · 21/10/2016 23:20

Brilliant news collie.
Cag, tell us about the Picasso exhibition. I have yet to go.
