That's great Hush. I sold two bits of pushchair this week too, and a poster. It's kind of pleasing when it works isn't it?

Welcome Judd
Where's Italian? She's pregnant isn't she? hope she's okay.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 13/10/2016 22:03

Yes hope Italian is o.kay

Collie this is why I am never moving again!! You poor thing though Flowers and Chocolate

Need you are doing well with the selling, I have a corner unit that I need to get on and put on a selling site.

WreckTangled · 13/10/2016 22:03

I hope Italian is ok too.

Ds has just been sick everywhere again but this time due to his cough and runny nose. He's often sick when he has a cold. He's now asleep in my bed next to me I secretly love it he will still go to pre-school tomorrow because afaik vomiting phlegm is not contagious.

Ursulatodd · 13/10/2016 22:52

NSD - didn't make it as far as the shop!

WreckTangled · 14/10/2016 06:12

Ffs dd is ill now was up all night being sick. I'm going to work so Dh will stay home and Ds will have to miss pre school as no way of getting him there...

Anyway I just want to make it the next 24 hours without getting sick as I have my best friends hen do tonight. Dh has given me £100 for it. Will try not to spend all of it but food and hair is £50 gone... Hmm who am I kidding.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/10/2016 06:34

Oh no wreck poor sicky house. Spend the money, have a good night out.
Collie, we will listen if you need to vent. (((Hugs)))
I need to get sorting and selling still dc don't want to give anything up.

Stressful day in the offing. Nsd planned though

Shesgotelectricboobs · 14/10/2016 06:48

Finally getting my nails redone - had to cancel my last appointment as wasn't well.

So today will be £39. And I'm meeting a friend for a drink/dinner after work.

Spent yesterday evening making soup.

SnugglySnerd · 14/10/2016 06:54

Oh dear, hope the wreck household gets well soon and you enjoy the hen do.
Have just called in sick. Feel dreadful and was up blowing my nose and feeling cold a lot in the night.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 14/10/2016 07:47

Sensible snuggly no one will thank you for going in with the lurgy. I'm glad I took the two days last week.

If you can stay in bed/couch with telly duvet and don't move (apart from eating and toilet). Binge watch tv. Rest. Lots of fluids.

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 08:03

Wreck it's always the same when you've something important on that's when they'll get sick. I hope you've a fabulous time at the hen do, and you should spend that £50 guilt free, you've just saved money with your electricity and you deserve a treat too.

Dd was up this morning before I came to work, so at 6.20 am I was listening to everyone else at school has their mom or dad or nan to collect them from things, how come you and Daddy are always at work [tug, tug, tug at the heartstrings], then came the tears when I told her to go back to sleep for another while Sad

AGenie · 14/10/2016 09:32

That's good advice electric. I'll do that too. I've just finished today's bit of housework in only 30 minutes. This rota is great. Duvet for me now. Smile

Sorry to hear that mammy, that sounds hard.

Needastrongone · 14/10/2016 10:01

I'm back, I preferred Need Smile

Hope you feel better soon Snuggly, and your DD Wrecked. It's never ending with more than one DC sometimes when they are little, by the time it's done the rounds.

I like clothes, most of the stuff we buy has a good resale value, so I am really trying hard to resell. Buyer paid £10, not £8 so extra made. I'm going to work out how much cashback I've made in a year and through selling etc.

I'm off to get my nails done now then I have to wait in for Britishh Gas as the heating won't off downstairs!!! It's only on luke warm though. Just as I have changed providers to Scottish Power!... Luckily the D'debit for the month had gone out and it was due a service.

When is your doctors appointment Genie?

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 10:10

Thinking of getting a towel bale for my cousin and his gf who bought a new house, any advice on what's good quality. I rather like these, no white or pale colours as he works in a garage Hmm maybe chocolate brown or aubergine. Their bathroom tiles are same as ours so peachy with a darker fleck too, maybe amber towels?

It's next Thursday need Thanks for asking. Smile It's just to tell them ds's full medical history, so they can work out what to do. A 5 minute appt just doesn't cut it any more. I'm being looked at too.

OP posts:
NeversellahouseCollie · 14/10/2016 10:32

Arghh! I'm about to spontaneously combust with stress! If I vanish it's because I can't handle the stress anymore and I've disconnected myself from the world and I'm hiding under a duvet for a month.

Two things are obvious. 1) we'll lose a substantial amount of money thanks to an idiot surveyor. 2) we'll be poorer than ever before after the house move. (If it actually happens)

Frugal fail for the rest of 2016!

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 10:40

This is my mpg for my new to me car - very happy Grin
Combining this with not driving for work two evenings a week should see my average monthly spend on diesel drop from €117 to €79 so roughly a third Grin

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 10:42

What's your cleaning rota genie?

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 10:44

Bought the £30 amazon gift card to take advantage of £7 back

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/10/2016 10:47

Right, has the surveyor missed something you can sue for & do you have legal cover on your house insurance to fund it?.

Surveyors will have a governing society/body you can complain to if they fall short.

SnugglySnerd · 14/10/2016 11:13

Collie Flowers Chocolate Wine take your pick!
Thanks for well wishes. Am watching films in my pjs.

NeversellahouseCollie · 14/10/2016 11:47

fluffy he missed something and then miscalculated something else. He won't get away with it but it has caused us worry, loss and delays. The solicitor said it'll take time to process a complaint etc. We are trying to battle on regardless but we will take a financial hit in the short term.

snuggly thank you! I'll have them all x 10!

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 12:08

snuggly are you feeling any better
collie you poor thing, just think of your dream home Flowers

mammymammyIRL · 14/10/2016 12:09

been assigned 3 mystery shops visits - my sister will do one, one I've to give back to be reassigned and the other one I'll do myself. The item that must be purchased is something dh's dgd will like anyhow so that's a frugal win! Plus get paid €18 each time, I will give dsis hers when I get it but reimburse her for expenses straight away

Needastrongone · 14/10/2016 12:14

Chocolate brown Mammy, it always looks classy and luxurious. Great MPG there.

Flowers for Collie. Keep going, but don't let the sod get away with it. Is there any legal cover available?

Ah, I see Genie. I didn't realise it was for your DS. Don't they have a full record of his medical history though, and medication for his chest infections etc? Sounds like a plan though, 70% attendance is obviously going to impact on his educational attainment further up the school he goes, so great idea to get sorted now!

£18 nails.

Frugal win. Ocado have just delivered and the fabric softener had leaked slightly. Driver gave me both bottles (they were on offer, it was Fairy!) and full refund, plus a refund for all the other stuff in the bag. Smile
