There are winners and losing with a weak pound. I expect our suppliers will soon be increasing prices, however our order book from abroad is booming.

I've given blood for the first time! I got Oreo's and coffee after. And my iron level counted, which was interesting. I'm quite close to the lower weigh though, but hopefully they might let me continue.

£65 diesel, budgeted for.

Collieballs · 13/10/2016 12:47

AGenie what a weird thing to do Confused

Hush amazing! Well done and hope the iron levels sort themselves out Brew

We're making gluten and dairy free pizzas. They look very tasty!

Collieballs · 13/10/2016 12:50

I meant gluten and lactose free pizzas**

HushisLush · 13/10/2016 12:56

Iron levels were fine Collie, sorry my post wasn't clear. I'm boderline lower weight limit though to donate. x

HushisLush · 13/10/2016 13:00

Normal iron levels for a female are from 11.8 upwards, but acceptable to donate is 12.8, as you obviously lose iron when you donate. I was 12.8, so well within normal. Smile Was interesting.

Collieballs · 13/10/2016 13:08

Ooooh I see! Sorry Hush! That makes more sense now Smile

JuddNelsoninTheBreakfastClub · 13/10/2016 13:09

Can I join in please x

AGenie · 13/10/2016 13:10

I've just finished my third folder full of slides. Just a shoe box full and a big steel box to go.

Lush that's great that your overseas order book is booming. That was what I was hoping would happen - lots of exports for the British manufacturing industry. We could do with more of that.

genie stress is one reason I started riding again. It does wonders for my confidence and stress levels.

I try to gym and yoga to help (boxing classes help enormously too) I find that if I'm tired my mind doesn't wander when im trying to sleep. Sleep for me was the big one. Fix that and I can do anything.

Spends today £4.80 on jersey stamps.

And I've hit 900km on my 1000km challenge this year!!!!!

AdoraBell · 13/10/2016 13:25

Judd everyone can join. Welcome aboard ☺

£3.25 in bakers, need to buy tape and something else that I've just forgotten.

Pilates really helps me De - stress.

AdoraBell · 13/10/2016 13:28

Unless it's angry stress, if I'm super p'd off 10 pin bowling is my medicine.

AGenie · 13/10/2016 13:31

That's great that the horse riding helps so much electric and I love the idea of ten pin bowling Adora. I did that once and I really did enjoy it.

Welcome JuddSmileSmile.

I love Pilates and walking too. Just as well, as the health professionals told me not to do anything high impact. I really liked Body Combat, but it was far too much for me.

Well done on giving blood, Hush and love the new name. It didn't take long to identify youWink.

NSD and hoping it stays that way.

AGenie · 13/10/2016 14:01

I just rang the GP and she made a 1 hour long in-person appointment. Shock I didn't know that was possible.

SnugglySnerd · 13/10/2016 14:27

Welcome Judd.

I've had an eventful hour or so. Took DD for her flu spray. She fell over on the gravel in the surgery car park and grazed ger hand so lots of hysterical crying. She was ok after a minute, had her spray, we came home. Then I decided to clean her hand with an antiseptic wipe. I don't think she's ever encountered one before so lots of screaming that only subsided once I said she could have a plaster - the holy grail as far as DD is concerned!
55p on smarties to decorate some gingerbread men we made earlier.

AdoraBell · 13/10/2016 15:15

Glad the plaster helped Snuggly, hope she is okay now.

So, update - £2.70 on a newspaper, FT, a rare treat it's usually chocolate
£2.98 in Card Factory, and I forgot the tape, doh!
50p in Boots on the weighing scales, ours broke, suffice it to say I am officially overweight. Will invest another 50p next week to see if my efforts at rectifying the situation pay off.

AGenie · 13/10/2016 15:20

Adora I really like those machines in Boots. :-) Good luck with the slimming. Smile

The other day I filled in a BMI questionnaire online and it said my BMI was 14 and that I needed to eat a lot urgently. I was just in the process of freaking out, when I realised I'd filled in my height as 6'8". D'oh!

Have been very busy this week so no posting on this new thread. The plastering/skimming of loft room/stairwell/dc's bedrooms is nearly done now. Then it will be the final fix of the electrics and plumbing and the final joinery bits (mainly bannister rails and skirting board). Then the painting starts! It will be fab once it's finished but I'm sick of the builders being here now. It has been 2 months and my patience is wearing thin! We've got enough money in the budget for the carpets and a wash basin but none spare.

Spent £30 today on new jazz shoes for dd's drama lessons Shock
Had a drink and cake while I was in town but my friend paid.
Dh and I are going away for 2 nights child free tomorrow so getting very excited! It was our treat to ourselves for our 20th wedding anniversary earlier in the year. Going to be staying in Hawkshead near Windermere.

Spent £20 in aldi, £2.50 on car parking.

mammymammyIRL · 13/10/2016 15:56

Have a lovely weekend away north , it'll do you good to go to a nice clean fresh hotel room and bathroom, with no builders/dust/nagging!

Frugal win this morning, found a wrapping paper sheet and gift tag that will suit my nan's present perfectly at home Smile
Not going to Unislim, feeling tired and wanting to go home so going to give it a miss €10 saved.

Will get diesel I think this evening as tomorrow evening will be busy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/10/2016 16:11

north Did the spin dryer survive?.

Welcome Judd

NSD & an outstanding invoice got paid.

I'm making jam suet sponge tonight, with smart price custard.

CremeEggThief · 13/10/2016 16:16

Have a fab weekend away, North. Hawkshead will be beautiful this time of year.Smile

northender · 13/10/2016 16:31

Unfortunately not fluffy. The company haven't even replied to my email either. We're going to have a go at taking the motor apart but I don't hold out much hope that we'll be able to repair it and put it back together.

northender · 13/10/2016 16:33

creme we're hoping it'll be lovely autumn colours. We're about an hour south of the lakes and leaves are just starting to turn & they should be ahead of us.

mammymammyIRL · 13/10/2016 16:48

Our autumn window Smile

CremeEggThief · 13/10/2016 16:50

It will be a real treat, North. I fancy a day at Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland during half term, to see the Autumn colours.
