OK the foot ain't 100% healed. But I can walk on it and that's a huge improvement!

Fluffy I've been thinking of you. It's so stressful and emotionally draining being in & out of hospital with family. Was it your FIL (sorry, I forgot)? Hope he's being looked after in hospital FlowersBrew

WreckTangled · 01/10/2016 20:51

Hmm weird about that flowers boobs. I would display them proudly though.

I want to go to bed but don't want to get up

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/10/2016 21:30

Collie Yes, still there but good care. thank you.

Adora Ooh that's a day trip to look forward to.

All Total bargain, they will last you donkeys years.

Genie Surely this flu has to break soon.

£37 food yesterday. £2 on milk but quidco will refund me.
NSD today.

Tomorrow I am sorting my thermals out & putting summer stuff away.

My chop cloc has arrived. It's very exciting.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 01/10/2016 21:31

wreck gorgeous kittycatface

My catface just got about 10cm away from me. Then freaked.

northender · 01/10/2016 21:58

Watching golf again. Dh, ds and I have been at the football today. Ds & I have season tickets, dh had a friend's unused season ticket (no cost). Had a few drinks between us before/after the game with friends.

Dd spent the afternoon shopping with a friend.

Fish & chips from the freezer for tea. Pork shoulder is out being prepared for slow roasting tomorrow.

Forecast is good for tomorrow so planning a walk for all 4 of us (much to ds' disgust!)

Shesgotelectricboobs · 01/10/2016 22:07

I swore at the flowers. Told them I thought they were stupid.

Dh is homre and has asked whether I'll be putting them in a vase (they are currently on the floor in their carry box). I said maybe later.

I'm tempted to put them on my grandparents grave. I've told him I don't want anything from mil unless it's an apology. However. This doesn't appear to have gotten through. If I had been home when the flowers were delivered I'd probably have sent them back.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 01/10/2016 22:11

I would accept the flowers I think boobs but then I really like flowers Wink

Wreck your cat is just beautiful.

Collie the reuse place delivered it for £5 Smile

Collieballs · 01/10/2016 22:56

I just spent £20ish at Forever 21 on 2 x long sleeve tops, a dress & a red berry bobble hat. All my t shirts are vest tops so I was really happy when I found simple long sleeve basics online for a good price. The bobble hat was £1.99! I bet I'll look like a right numpty but at least my head will be warm.
The dress was £4.99!

I also got 5% cashback.

I won't buy anymore clothes until February 1st. I need to try and do this! Blush Blush clothing ban!

fluffy that's good to hear Flowers
wreck oh he is beautiful!
girlie that's a brilliant price! Shock
north enjoy your walk tomorrow Brew

AGenie · 01/10/2016 23:00

fluffy Yes I think you're right. It hasn't been too bad but I cunningly tried this new magnesium supplement and broke myself. Now I know how ds feels when I try new foods on him. Note to self...

Fluffy That's great that the hospital is giving good care. That helps such a lot doesn't it? Very excited to hear about your chop cloc too.

Electric Well done for shouting at the flowers. If you hate them so much that you just want to put on marigolds and bin them then I'd do it. It sounds like a cheap and uncomplicated opportunity to get a bunch of stuff out of your system.

I had a cunning plan today. I want a slide scanner to scan some very sentimentally valuable slides. Scanners cost a bomb for a good one (£650). I found an open box one online for £400 that I can sell on ebay for £500 so I bought it. I'm slightly Shock at having spent the money but it should be a profit in the long run. I must absolutely sell it again though. Must scan slides asap.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/10/2016 07:24

Football today then meeting friends this afternoon's.
Must meal plans and shop add sick of not eating properly.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 02/10/2016 07:37

How early on ones birthday is it ok to wake ones dh up and demand a birthday cup of tea in bed?

8FencingWire · 02/10/2016 07:43

:) happy birthday electric. I'd say nudge about now! :)

WreckTangled · 02/10/2016 07:47

Happy birthday boobs!! CakeWineFlowersChocolateStar

We're going on a walk this morning at a NT place then back home for homemade soup for lunch. Then I'll make a roast for dinner. So should be a nsd.

8FencingWire · 02/10/2016 07:59

italian, you were asking about freezer meal ideas. My DD loves my macaroni cheese. They're 'special' (I put a bed of pasta, bechamel, layer of broccoli and sweetcorn, another layer of pasta, bechamel and then grated cheese with a bit of paprika sprinkled over the top. My DD always hated tomatoes, I can't blame her, they're vile here, but if you have some, you can add tomatoes as well, just unde the cheese.
If you make a big batch and then portion freeze, it defrosts well and tastes lovely.
Soup is another suggestion.

girlie, I know what you mean! Half term should be budgeted for, I decided.
genie, I have a bit of saving in 6% interest accounts with First Direct and 5% with Nationwide. Worth checking, ISA rates are appaling

collie, good luck with the move!

Collieballs · 02/10/2016 08:01

boobs happy birthday!! WineFlowers poke him in the belly immediately and demand a cuppa

wreck your day sounds perfect!

We're going to eat pancakes, then pop down for beach side hot chocolates. Then come home, eat lunch and pack away the shed / garden. We need to buy a gigantic 75L flexi tub from Homebase for £10 to store garden toys, empty plant pots etc.

8FencingWire · 02/10/2016 08:07

Yesterday I spent £33 in Waitrose ( I had £8 off voucher). They have Ariel liquid buy one get one free, if you're interested. Got some bramleys for a crumble, some parsnip, cheese, bread etc. They had a good recipe for oats cookies that I made last night, oil, sugar, bicarbonate, flour, one egg, oats, vanilla and raisins. Very very nice!!! Waitrose also gives you a paper free if you have their card. So all good.

Meal plan:
eggy bread on Monday,
pasta on Tuesday,
Macaroni cheese from the freezer on wednesday
Home made chips and escalopes on thursday
Friday to monday we're away :)

8FencingWire · 02/10/2016 08:08

Nice idea with the pancakes, I'll make some this morning :)

allthebestplease · 02/10/2016 08:11

agenie great idea about slides, my dad has hundreds of slides going back to the 60s.
wreck gorgeous pussy!

I think I'm finally getting through to dh about being frugal, he said last night that he could make another dinner out of the left overs Smile

Someone was talking about bank accounts, I highly recommend first direct, they're brilliant.

Happy birthday 🎂

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/10/2016 08:14

Boobs Happy Birthday 🎂🍾

genie A third off is not to be sniffed at.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 02/10/2016 08:16

Nudged and tea brought. Along with cards and presents. Grin I can hear breakfast noises....

Kittycat wrote me a card and gave me the gift of running up the hallway stairs in the day time! She hasn't done that while we've been here before!

Eva50 · 02/10/2016 09:04

All these lovely kitties. I just have a dog!

Disastrous spends day yesterday. Ds1's 21st birthday so gifts, treats and Dominos (on the credit card - arrrgh). Next week will have to be mostly NSD's.

Get better soon to all those still feeling poorly.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/10/2016 10:42
