Just realised we're going to be in £4K of debt once I've finished my masters. As much as I'm loving it and I know it will help in the future, I'm angry at the cost of it. I've had 2k from my DM towards it, but it's a massive debt when we have a house to redecorate and recarpet, as well as trying to save for a wedding. I'm starting to feel like it will never happen even once I'm working again :(

CremeEggThief · 26/02/2016 15:42

Hope people are starting to feel better and that your DD is back to normal soon, Girlie. I still remember the horrible fright I got when DS cut his forehead falling on cobbles at a castle in 2004. Teeny, tiny scar left, that is quite like Harry Potter's.

Spends: £6.50 on lunch at Sainsburys café (dare I admit I finished a vegetarian lasagna that came with garlic bread AND chips!Shock). £18.34 on paint, paint pad, sandpaper, sticky labels and a bottle of water from Wilkos and £22.50 on new school shoes for DS, reduced in the Brantano's closing down sale. They're men's size 8, so quite a good bargain. He's not having them until after Easter though, as I'm very hardline about things like that. Just finishing off my shopping trip with a £2.40 mocha in M&S now, before heading home. Happy weekend, everyone Smile.

Em Lunch time sounds lovely, nom nom for the buttie.

Hello Call

Good work on the extra income Ipsos, from the Upwork contract.

super Have you talked to school about your DS? Would they be able to provide any assistance? Is he the same there? Have they involved the SENCO if needed?

Hope your DS feels better soon NK

Spends today £2.60 on sawdust for the chickens.

Wolfcub · 26/02/2016 15:55

£15 on lunch out with friends. Not quite sure what happened but my bank account is a mess. Blooming leap year means I won't get paid until Monday

WreckTangled · 26/02/2016 16:37

Nsd.

supermariossister · 26/02/2016 16:48

I have spoken to the school to see how he is at school and they say he is perfect there doesn't put a foot wrong
To be fair to him he is a good boy usually just this thing with dp is really wearing everyone down its as though he thinks he doesn't need to do as he asks. But then me and dp have had a lot of disagreements on discipline lately between my ds and his two so maybe they have picked up all hasn't been well. We went out for breakfast yesterday and talked and layed out quite how serious things were so hoping for a more United front, stayed up till daft o clock talking laughing and just being the us we haven't been for a long time, hope we have turned a corner

Nsd as I'm feeling rotten with some sort of stomach bug but I desperately need a black fedora type hat for ds world book day may ask dad to look out for one tomorrow.

babsmam · 26/02/2016 16:53

I don't get paid until Monday either boo.
£33 in sainsburys, £10 in boots pharmacy bastard anti biotics side effects.
£2 for beavers later.
Not sure about the weekend yet as it depends how I am and the weather.
Thanks for the brantano closing reminder crème I need school shoes for dd

shutupandshop · 26/02/2016 17:13

Oh dear, rather spendy day.

£83 at beauticans, waxing/massage

CremeEggThief · 26/02/2016 17:37

Babs, it's the one at the Arnish centre. Another customer asked the staff when they are actually shutting, and she said she's not 100% sure, but basically as soon as all the stock is sold. So don't hang about too long.

OP posts:
CremeEggThief · 26/02/2016 17:38

God this thread moves fast! I need to come on more often! Welcome to other newbies
DH has got several interviews lined up so that's all good news.
NSD yesterday but spent lots today- £38 on petrol, £4 on flowers for a friend to remember an important sad occasion & £1 for milk at Tesco express as I can't be bothered to go to Aldi tonight.
[lilac] I think your cake is amazing!!! I've never seen mixed veg as finishing touches! Grin
Chill out night tonight, will finish off some marking from school so I don't have to do it in Sunday but am hoping it won't take too long, might even have wine!

babsmam · 26/02/2016 19:10

Nope likes flowers - got me stumped! Nice boots

needastrongone · 26/02/2016 20:14

Ah, I see mario, hopefully you've turned a corner. At least in a way the behaviour is isolated.

Minnie Good luck for your DH's interviews.

girlie Love the boots but you don't fool me Grin

Had a Chinese for tea. DH was paid in cash for a job, which he split evenly between all his lads, so made £15 Grin Paid for tea at least. Only one of his guys thanked him Angry They soon f**king moan when they think they've been hard done by.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/02/2016 20:27

Girlie 2/3 off boots is never a bad thing.

Green a masters will earn you more though?. You can join travis Perkins or jewson, as a self builder/property developer & it's cheaper then DIY outlets.

£57 on weekly shop and alcohol. £1 caustic soda for keeping the sink traps clear.

supermariossister · 26/02/2016 20:37

Good news on the takeaway need Shame the lads weren't appreciative. Hope you enjoyed it anyway!

Yes hopefully ds been much better tonight and organising making crystals with dp. We shall see eh.much better night in the Mario household tonight

needastrongone · 26/02/2016 20:44

We did mario, thank you. It just pisses me off sometimes, he drove for 5 hours today, walks into the office, they all collar him and moan. He shares a small cash deal with them, they don't even thank him. Yet all you hear in the press is about scoundrel bosses treating their employees like dirt and reaping massive rewards, evading tax blah blah.

Steps off soap box Grin

babsmam · 26/02/2016 20:54

That would piss me off too need.

Ipsos · 26/02/2016 20:59

Thanks need. I feel quite proud of myself. I always assumed my career would be over post-kids. It's nice to have a little sideline that still leaves me available for ds.

Sorry your dh is getting it in the neck from his employees. I think it's so hard for junior people to know what bosses put up with, and vice versa.

I had a good sort of day. I sold another thing on ebay so that's parceled and ready to go tomorrow. Still got a bit of a temperature and achy joints but it's not too bad really.

I hope everyone is doing okay. Flowers for those under the weather and Brew for those climbing personal mountains.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/02/2016 21:23

That is annoying Need I wish my boss would do that Grin I would be very grateful!

Ipsos well done on the little side line, hope you feel better soon.

We are back in the flat tonight, the bathroom is semi done - we have a new suite in but no shower, floor and the tiles need finishing. Its looking good though - big improvement!

Its flipping freezing though, have had the heaters off - brrrr, hot water bottle tonight!

GreenGoth89 · 26/02/2016 21:53

Fluffy - it would if I had any experience as I developed a long term health condition which had me in a wheelchair for 3 years and I've only started using a mobility scooter in the past 1.5 years. I still have it but it's better than it was - I'm not in bed all the time! I've no idea what I'll do once I graduate, I was going to do a PhD but I've decided I want to try for a baby (no I'm not mental I have been told it's not dangerous to my health by an OBS), but I need to be in work for 6 months plus
