I think you are right need with your guess.
It might be meteorological spring but the spring equinox is not until 21 march. Thus some may argue it's not spring until then

SpaceKablooie · 29/02/2016 19:24

Oh, what's meteorological spring?

I've booked an emergency appointment at the dentist tomorrow. I'm dreading it, and I'll be an anxious wreck in the morning. I think I'll have to have several appointments Sad - is there anything that the GP can prescribe to help?

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 19:37

I'm just repeating what the weather guy said. I'm no expert. For me it's summer once it hits 16 degrees. 16 degrees means it's acceptable to wear shorts and flip flops.

Successfully descaled kettle remember the other week when I was living a spendy rock and roll lifestyle? This is about as far from that as I can get and have done 2 loads of washing.

Glass has gone to glass bin.

Rubbish has been take out.

Shopping list written.

Dh has sat on the couch and watched.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/02/2016 19:41

Hi all, have just found out I didn't get my house Sad am completely depressed now. They just emailed and said they were overwhelmed with applicants and mine wouldn't be progressed any further. I had just started to let myself believe it might happen Sad

Also found out some little git tripped dd which is why she fell Angry not having a good day!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/02/2016 19:44

Oh girlie, I am so disappointed too. I was hoping you'd get it.

Right, one night of being sad and mainlining chocolate and then look for another one.

Loads of houses come up in the summer.

babsmam · 29/02/2016 19:51

Oh girlie I'm sorry to hear both of those.

babsmam · 29/02/2016 19:58

Right nerd alert!!!
Meteorological seasons are what the weather people use to divide the year and are 1 march, June, September and December for the seasons.
Astronomical seasons use the axis of the earth and moon and are harder to define but are usually based on the four equinox 21/22 march, June, September and December.
Neither seems to be wrong these days though

JeepersMcoy · 29/02/2016 19:58

That's a shame about the house girlie but I am sure you will find something even better :)

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 20:03

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 20:31

9 questions right!!

MinnieLatte · 29/02/2016 20:36

Sad Feeling really down today, not about money or DHs redundancy, just got other crap going on & sometimes I miss my late DM so much- it doesn't seem to get easier with the passing of time. Work's manic, we've got 3 crazy weeks at school so I'm mentally ticking off the days until Easter!
I love reading the thread, I'm trying to keep up & piece you all together!
girlie sorry you didn't get a house
Can't remember now who's DD had a bad head bump! Was it fuzzpig? I think you handled it really well, school should realise you were very good about it & hopefully they'll think a bit more carefully
laska heating still on here too! In fact, warm Pjs still on & feet being warmed by a snoring DDog!

NSD yesterday, £15 music tuition today for DS & £28 in Aldi on sort of top-up/ half weekly shop! Seemed to have got through loads of stuff this weekend, needed salad & lunch stuff etc

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 29/02/2016 20:49

Not an nsd after all! I placed a last second bid on some beautiful yarn on ebay (a whole kilo of it), and won it. Oops. Serious downfall. So £40 down...gtech will have to wait. I must not look at yarn on ebay (write x100).

The ferrets are very cute. We got them a couple of months ago, rescued brothers, they got handed on as we think the smaller one has had a back injury, as he walks very peculiarly. But they are SO tame. Hoping that a big outside run with lots of activities will strengthen him up.

Btw: ferrets smell. Really smell.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/02/2016 20:55

Right had a little weep and now feeling more annoyed than sad! Have emailed Connolls as they def gave the impression it was all going ahead so would like to know their take on it.

Fuzz I didn't find BAB too expensive, the actual bears are about £16 but what costs £££ is the accessories, when my dd got a dog she didn't really want any accessories so it worked out really reasonable!

Laska have inboxed you Smile

Minnie it was my dd who banged her head, thank you. I am really not very good at confronting people but felt like I could't not say something. The deputy head actually rang me today to say she agreed dd shouldn't have been on her own. Now dd tells me that she was tripped (a boy admitted it to her today) am going to go back in tomorrow!

On a more positive note my bathroom is looking lovely Smile oh and today has been a NSD.

CremeEggThief · 29/02/2016 20:56

Really sorry about the house, GirlieBrewChocolate.

WreckTangled · 29/02/2016 20:57

My brother used to have a ferret. We had lots of animals growing up and I would love to get a pet for the dc. We had dogs, chickens, chinchillas, a rescue barn owl, baby pheasants (until they were released) and hamsters. Dh wants a house rabbit Hmm

babsmam · 29/02/2016 21:02

Minnie post away and don't worry too much about being lost off, we all do it

Laska5772 · 29/02/2016 21:17

wreck HAH.. despite your efforts at temptation ( and me filling my virtual basket ) I have just walked away from the Fat Face sale

So Nah!! Smile (polishes halo...)

Laska5772 · 29/02/2016 21:18

bootygirl · 29/02/2016 22:21

Girlie sorry about the house🍰☕️ Hope dd feeling better🤕.?

Got toothache not sure if I am grinding them at night.. Due to get them cleaned about €65😔 Will have to book in... Ah well.

Bit spendy today. €33 for DS antibiotics per month 😬 €16 on ds's stationary €18 on crafts Mother's Day cards & Holland & Barrett.

Just signed up for survey site does anyone to Irish opinions?

lilacclery · 29/02/2016 22:58

I do booty it pays out on €10 increments sometimes it takes months to reach it other times you'd get €10 in no time at all. Here's a shot of my history but some of those lean periods are when I wasn't filling out many surveys. Also ones that need sound I can't do at work so often don't bother coming back to them at home either. €180 in 5 years

Frugaleers March On!
fuzzpig · 29/02/2016 23:15

Oh Girlie I'm sorry about the house :( that's so disappointing. Definitely let yourself be sad tonight (IYSWIM - I think acceptance of emotions can be better than fighting them). Chocolate And a big FFS re: DD being tripped. Why are some children so bloody mean? :(

I was going to say that TF (I can't call you twit!) was previously LassieLongJohnSilver :o (I think. Now I'm worried I've got it wrong and made a tit of myself.)

Sorry about your mum Minnie that must be really hard. Thanks

Right I'd better get on with some work now..

bootygirl · 29/02/2016 23:20

Lilac. That's what I figured so I signed up for easons as I like to read so if I get a couple of free books😉😘
