Well done MiniWreck
My dds love bab and they even refilled ds Wolfie Smile

NSD yesterday
£26 at Tesco, £32 fuel, £18 at Lidl, £6 at Poundland and £6 at sewing shop
Does anybody ever get to the bottom of the dirty clothes basket? Did 3 loads at the weekend and the basket is half full again.
Chicken chow mein tonight

WreckTangled · 29/02/2016 13:54

My washing basket is empty right now! (Ignoring the fact that the towels need doing) it'll be half full again tonight though Hmm

babsmam · 29/02/2016 13:59

Well done mini wreck

needastrongone · 29/02/2016 15:38

I don't get these threads where a family of four put the washing machine on 4 times a week or whatever. I can't figure that! Ok, we have dogs, a pony and DC that play sport, but, if you add in bedding, towels and ad hoc items like dressing gowns every so often, I can't figure it out.. Smile

Spends -

£5 car wash.
£50 Abel and Cole delivery.
£20 M&S, mainly bread, haven't been for 3 weeks, and don't plan on going again soon, but we like their bread. Plus, some 'healthy snack' items for packed lunches, there's no chocolate in the house at the minute, but we are coping!

Well done wreck DS!

Glad school were contrite girlie, as they should be by the way..

Oh north, I remember the secondary school dilemma so well, it was awful. Seems even more important than primary, as a solid secondary eduction obviously translates into results that matter. We were incredibly lucky to get DS into an outstanding out of catchment school, due to a random blip/dip in the birth rate that affected one year only. Good luck. Smile

JeepersMcoy · 29/02/2016 16:00

I feel like we are constantly doing washing and there is only 3 of us. I'm not sure where it all comes from.

I have booked myself in for some therapy. I really feel my mental health is slipping right now and need some support. It is expensive, but now we have the finances in order I think we can manage. I figure it's cheaper then me having a breakdown and losing my job so good value long term.

babsmam · 29/02/2016 16:08

Ha try four loads a day.

(((Hugs))) jeepers. Some things are a no brainer to spend money on and that sounds like one of them

fuzzpig · 29/02/2016 16:10

Well done Jeepers - asking for help is so important. Absolutely worth the cost. Hope it helps and remember we are all here for you too Thanks

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 29/02/2016 16:59

Had two nsd's, plus got the £18 refund from b&q, and £9 from the lottery as my bank card details were about to expire, so they put my balance back inConfused. I always buy real paper tickets now, but trying not to buy too many atm.

Been super productive, 2 trips to the tip (I have mounds of stuff just waiting to go, but a skip is £190 out to usShock, so a boot at a time it is. Plus fixed my bargain £1 ikea pax shelf as a low table for girls to paint/draw/lego on in their room. Today we laid a concrete base for the outside ferret run sigh ferrets. I am pleased with my handiwork, plus I used the spare mortar to fix the gaps in the big greenhouse where the rain was getting under due to my uneven concete laying last year.

Will sleep well tonight! Tea is roast chicken from freezer, sad old veg from fridge. Need to shop but will hold out a few more days if I can.

babsmam · 29/02/2016 17:04

I'd we have had a man with a van before. £80 took everything we would normally put in a skip

fuzzpig · 29/02/2016 17:07

Ooh ferrets! They are so cute. Bet they're a handful though.

Ready meals for me and the DCs tonight Blush DH normally finishes at 2 but is short staffed so staying til half 6 so I'm making it as easy as I can. Abandoning Beavers and will get them in an early bath instead (would be too much if I did dinner as well), they need an early night.

I'm pleased with what we've achieved today - managed two tidying stints. I feel motivated to continue but getting the tell tale aches now so probably best to quit while I'm ahead. Although need to put a wash on (no, I haven't seen the bottom of the floor laundry basket for a long time...)

JeepersMcoy · 29/02/2016 17:25

Thanks babs and fuzz. This thread has really helped actually. I have wanted to get some for a while. I have had bits of free stuff in the past, but think that paying for it will allow me to chose who, what and how i have it, so make me feel more in control. I have allowed myself to put it off due to feeling like we couldn't afford it (I have terrible avoidance issues), but thanks to all this frugalleering I know that we can and really can't use it as an excuse.

Anyway, I got a jacket potato for lunch today and will need to pick up a few bits in the shops that I didn't get yesterday. It shouldn't be much though.

I am super impressed by all this productivity going on today! Smile

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 29/02/2016 17:25

Had lovely catch up with friend hadn't seen for mths met at waitrose so free drinks and she brought cakes so only cost me petrol to get there. Walked the 1.7 miles to school hadn't done it since summer and ds1 who is 5 was v impressed he walked nearly 2miles he forgot he did it every day last summer

Been emailing and Facebook messaging lots companies for raffle prizes for an event my sister is organising for global development delay as they have an awareness day in may and my niece has gdd. Many are companies I have brought from in past and so far lots kind generosity, lots no replies from bigger companies as well.

Nearer time will share details of event in case anyone wants to go it will be in east Sussex

WreckTangled · 29/02/2016 17:30

Well done jeepers Thanks

We had left over gammon with mash, red cabbage, mange tout, carrots, cauliflower and tenderstem broccoli for dinner. I think I got a bit veg happy HmmGrin

Nsd.

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 17:32

jeepers well done. No shame in seeking help. I did with my mil issue. Therapist I ended up seeing taught me some coping strategies other than out of sight out of mind she made me write letters to mil. Not to be posted. And to dh. As it was easier to write than say. Dh read them. And he finally gets it.

Nsd for me. Am waiting for dh to finish work now. Then it's home for slow cooker chilli and some cleaning. Discovered yesterday afternoon that dh threw up on his Tshirt on sat night. And threw it in the pile of clean washing. So have to re wash most of it. #gross #idiot #aaaaaah

I can get away usually with 5 loads of washing a week. This includes bedding and towels (helps that all my bedding is white, as are all towels except hand towels).

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 17:33

Also trying to establish if parents can get compensation for a ferry delay. I know you can for flights. But is there similar for sea travel any one know...?

Twitfeatures · 29/02/2016 17:57

jeepers well done! Such a brave thing to do and I hope it helps loads Flowers

I'm getting all excited about DHs new job but his start date is aaaages away. But he had loads of spare holiday so he has quite a few half days coming up. I'm over excited!

Also discovered a leak in our new build roof Sad and so have our neighbours! The developers will sort it though. Thank goodness! Also some of our electrics need rewiring. You'd think they'd know how to build a house properly by now. Grrr

Twitfeatures · 29/02/2016 17:57

Oops I forgot I name changed! Haha!

needastrongone · 29/02/2016 18:01

jeepers Absolutely the right thing Flowers. No doubt.

Em All that will change when you have DC Smile

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 18:17

need doing 5 loads of washing, having white bedding or dh being drunk and stupid on very rare occasions? Haha!!

Am having a mad hour of tidy up.

Pointed out to dh the other day that when we have dc we will need less stuff for us and will need to be organised. This I far is falling on deaf ears.

twit who were you previously...?

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 18:17

Also. I've turned out heating off. Bang.

CremeEggThief · 29/02/2016 18:26

Just a quick post, as I haven't stopped all day and we're just about to eat dinner.
£20 gas.
£5.84 shopping (milk, bread, cheese and chocolate).

I'll catch up properly later.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 29/02/2016 18:30

Haha all of them Em! Actually I don't do loads of washing. Still in the minus figures overnight here can't turn the heating off yet!

Ememem84 · 29/02/2016 18:41

According. To David off of bbc weather today is the last day of meteological winter.

Will be 10 degrees here tomorrow. Yippee!!

I'm also bare foot in the house. For the first time in a couple of months. May cave in a bit and out slippers on. But for now. Just feet.

needastrongone · 29/02/2016 18:42

I'm guessing Collie, but I am crap at guessing stuff like this!

All 3 Em, all 3 Grin

WreckTangled · 29/02/2016 18:48

I heard him say that too. It was warm today but it's not looking great the rest of the week there's even a snow flake on my iPhone weather Hmm

I'm really craving chocolate and I've been so good! I haven't had any for ages, I just had one posh m&s coffee chocolate which we got given for Christmas but it hasn't really curbed my craving. Off to have s peppermint tea.
