Finally got ynab sorted out - set up a new dropbox account!! Blush I bought it on 2 June 14 Blush only getting this sorted now!

Going to book in for some tutorials over the weekend, have the basics set up on my own budget & one for the joint bills too. It's downloaded to my iphone already so should be no trouble to use it now.

lilacclery · 10/08/2015 23:12

Bedtime for me now - I'm hungry and shouldn't be had loads to eat so going to head to bed!

AdoraBell · 10/08/2015 23:17

We had a dog who never ate in kennels. She also got the runs for the first 2/3 days so definenitley anxiety.

I also had a BFFF at the weekendBlush although not as bad as your's Ohhelp hope everyone is feelling better now.

I bought some shirts in the sale on Saturday, £79 for four. Then I Spent £118 on a súpermarket delivery (ouch). Just Spent £315 ish on school uniform not including shoes, socks/tights or blouses. Oh, or a skirt for DD1 because she is worried about being the new girl so wants what we saw "all" the girls wearing. Something knicker skimming and skin tightHmm I'm working on a compromise.

Also Spent about £4 in boots and £6 odd on chocolateBlush. I didn't order any as there is an outlet where they sell my favourites cheaper than the súpermarkets. Have recently tried Lidl ice-creams, ILs shop there. I didn't like them, too sweet and a bit grainy IMHO.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/08/2015 05:54

Should be nsd back to work today.

Adora my little sister is always in trouble for rolling up her skirt. She's 12!

Pointlessfan · 11/08/2015 06:57

Pleased you enjoyed Kielder, wheely, I love it up there. You've reminded me it is the Perseid (sp?) meteor shower this week - free evening entertainment if the weather is ok.
All this talk of cats has reminded me of what I forgot to post yesterday - Asda have their pet event on at the moment and there are offers to be had! I got boxes of the posh Felix for £3 yesterday.
Plan for today is to try and spot some more of the owls in Birmingham - they are fabulous if any of you are in the area and want something free to do. Can't link on phone but google the "Big Hoot".

Need dog food £28 and to get an aldi shop but going to try hanging on for aldi a bit longer. Tough luck on the things we have run out of. I haven't got back into the post holiday swing of things yet.
Eh out tonight beans and says for kids and random tea for me.

AuditAngel · 11/08/2015 07:28

Bing I have just had the same thing. It really started Thursday afternoon as I was driving home. Off work Friday and yesterday. If I hadn't had so much on at the weekend, I could have gone back yesterday, but I was still shattered.

Yesterday £16.10 for take away for dinner, plus £110 on 24 bottles of wine (2 cases) each of which cones with some freebies (saved £79 on each case). DH also got me to order a gift pack of Jamon, which he said he'll pay for Hmm he certainly will! I also told the website (his account with the company) not to save my card details so DH can't "accidentally" put the next order on my card which has happened in the past.

The dress I rdered for my sister's wedding came and is too small. It is also cheap and nasty material. That is going back. I asked DSis if she minded me wearing something I already have, as it seems a waste to buy something new now, when I hope it won't fit soon due to going to slimming world. She was fine with this.

Off to cook diet bacon and eggs for breakfast!

needastrongone · 11/08/2015 08:14

collie I feel your pain, broken sleep is simply dreadful.

Today I am having my shellac done, and my hair coloured. I am so grey, I have very dark hair, so it shows up terribly!

Otherwise, I might treat the kids to a Costa and go for a mooch in the local market town.

I am paying my friends eldest daughter to house sit while we are away, easier all round for the dogs and chickens, I am too soft to put them in kennels, ddog2 would wither away with worry. Plus, it works out cheaper!

wheelycote · 11/08/2015 08:17

Morning all, warming up my seat. Planning a nsd today. Hope you all have a fabulous day!

My dp moves out next Monday to Lincoln. Hes starting a new project over there and won't be home for first 4 weeks at least and says he'll be home 1/2nights a week after that. Feeling a bit blue this morning...he's done these projects before and from previous experience were not going to see him much for the next 6/9/12 months. Determined more than ever to get my finances in top shape, to have all bases covered homewise so I'm looking after myself and dtweens and the usual get fit. Just dumping sorry, just on my mind and didn't want to take it round with me whilst I work.

TheOnlyPink · 11/08/2015 09:21

wheely oh pet, that sounds awful. No wonder you feel blue. My husband is away till Thursday and I'm moping like a teenager, can't imagine how you're feeling. Very un-mumsnetty hug for you Flowers

laska where did you get a reusable freezer bag? Didnt know there was such a thing! I feel very wasteful throwing them out if they haven't been holding raw meat, but they get grubby and the zip bit breaks!

sweetkitty you have my sympathies, I was scraping coppers at the end of last month, for nearly 2 weeks. It's so grim, and even worse when the kids are off and you need to keep them busy. There's only so many times you can get them excited about a walk to the playground. Flowers

I ordered amazon prime by accident last week, cancelled it straight away and they said I will be refunded. Still haven't gotten it, getting a bit anxious about it now! Will give them another day or two. It's so easy to sign up, I clicked on learn more or something, because I wanted to see had I used the free trial, But that signed me up! It's €111!
Will be a bit low spend today, going to the library. It's in a shopping centre that has a free indoor play area. Ds 1 is too old for it, so he reads the new library books while ds 2 has a run around. Then we go to a cafe. Fills up a few hours and its a bit fun!

wheely that does sound hard - we're all here if you want a chat/moan!
collie I saw a tawny owl in my back garden on Saturday night. I heard a noise and thought it was foxes - looked out just in time to see it land on our tree! I was so excited!!
I've realised that my days off next year mean that when it's a bank holiday we could go away from Fri-Wed. Think May day would be too cold for camping, hotels are expensive, do you think I could book a caravan or would they only take whole week bookings? Can anyone suggest anything else that would work out cheap? Don't want to go too far from home, thinking maybe Llandudno or somewhere.

peppapissinpig · 11/08/2015 09:45

Morning All

Wow Wheely that is a huge change, hope you manage to adjust ok.

Hoping for NSD today. Just worked out we can watch Amazon Prime films from our Smart TV (only taken 3 years!). Kids beyond thrilled as apparently they are deprived because of our basic Sky package.

Duvet day I reckon as DS appears to be coming down with a cold

My hair desperately needs cutting and colouring but can't bring myself to spend £85 Confused (I have long hair)
I do luffs my hairdresser though and have never found anyone as good

NK5BM3 · 11/08/2015 09:56

Sorry wheely to hear that. What job does he do that requires him to move? Is that far from you? (Sorry you might have said before where you are!).

Yesterday spent £10 on ovex. £4.94 at savers for mr muscle bathroom spray, haribos, sponges and some sanitary stuff. So cheap. £15 on book bag and pe bags for school. 99p for 10 large eggs. £6 at ice cream parlour. 50p for viewfinder. £3 for 12 cans of coke.

The place we go to for school stuff is a pretty cheap town. Although I had to drive maybe 10 miles, the savings are pretty significant. There's a really nice upgraded play park too. So kids played there for 30 min. A good start to my holiday.

Today was planning to go to the outlet to get school shoes. Was going to meet a friend at a park but it's rained and will rain again. So we've rescheduled. It's bloody annoying.

girliefriend · 11/08/2015 10:09

Morning all Smile

So aiming for a NSD today, will be the first in ages. The summer hols are a nightmare for my finances!

A friend is over from Australia so have agreed to meet her in Bristol tomos, she wanted to meet in Bath but that would have worked out more expensive plus lunch etc. Have suggested we go to Za Za Bizarre in Bristol which I have heard good things about. Its an all you can eat buffet at £8.99 and only £4.50 for dd! Will still end up being £20 on the train plus everything else so will probably cost £40-£50 for the day oh well. I only get to see this friend once every 3 years or so.....

Am thinking Sept will be my most boring frugal month yet. Will be starting my increase in hours at work so the plan is to work work work rather than spend spend spend Wink

wheely Total sympathies. DH works abroad a lot, and does at least 60 hours a week, often more. It's very hard sometimes. I haven't seen mine since Sunday afternoon and he's not back until Thursday.

Being out 'in the sticks' means hair cuts, including colouring don't cost much more than £30 Smile

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 11/08/2015 11:38

That sounds tough, Wheely.

I think it's the SW as much as anything else, collie. It's a bit of a nightmare. Any idea about what you might retrain as?

audit glad you're feeling better. I'm off again today but feeling much better than yesterday so shall drag my sorry ass into work tomorrow. Gutted though as DP and I work on the same road and commute together so me being off hadn't even saved us any petrol money.

NSD yesterday, DM popped over with cake.

pointless good luck with the Big Hoot, lots of friends have been doing it and posting photos on Facebook. Wish DD was a bit bigger, we would have taken her but she's only just walking and wouldn't really understand I don't think.

Binglet my DD is only 16 months! We went to see some of the owls on a Sunday morning when town was really quiet and let her toddle round Victoria Square. I don't think she really got the owls either but I loved them!

peppapissinpig · 11/08/2015 12:41

GirlsonFilm · 11/08/2015 12:43
