Collie could collie cat have been homesick and therefore not eaten much whilst you were away?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 10/08/2015 20:46

Our dog used to refuse to eat at the kennels, Spotty. Might it be that rather than them not feeding her? Mum used to end up leaving her with my grandparents instead and she was fine there. Cats might be a bit less stupid different and don't starve themselves pining for their owners though.

Myturnnow4 · 10/08/2015 20:50

I'd guess that they fed her, she just chose not to eat. She's teaching you a lesson.

I made a point of avoiding the disposable income thread.

Evilwater · 10/08/2015 21:10

Damn, still can't find that list.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/08/2015 21:11

I won't be reading that thread either.

My new neighbours have a pond with a filter thing. I'm going to spend all night needing a wee Hmm

girliefriend · 10/08/2015 21:12

Collie it might be worth a phone call to say did she eat o.kay? Does seem a bit weird that she is so hungry, mind you my boy cat is the same. He goes on hunger strike at the cattery in protest Grin My mum has found a lady to come to her home while she is on holiday to feed her cat and water her plants for £6 a day - seemed quite reasonable.

Whats 'disposable income'? Wink

Catteries usually feed twice a day, at home most of us are under the paw and feed 3 or 4 times a day.

I have to tell my cattery two pouches twice a day or he gets one twice and punishes me for a couple of days.

Ooo are we trending!

collie she may not have eaten much in the cattery....being away from home and that. Careful she doesn't gorge herself too much otherwise your carpet might be wearing it Wink

wheelycote · 10/08/2015 21:41

Nsd today Smile

Laska42 · 10/08/2015 22:01

oops.. £112.22 big shop in sainsburys -and £20 of that was on gin! (Ummmm.. bad Laska, but i blame Dh who pointed out at the weekend that we only had half a measure in the old bottle, he does like a G&T at the weekend ).. and then I forgot the bleedin toilet rolls! The rest was mostly replacing things we had run out of cheese tuna , ham, eggs , mustard, food bags , cleaning stuff, washing liquid, toiletries ,etc etc

However i am going to be a total frugal tightwad , the 'use again' freezer bag i bought to replace the one I have had for over a year broke before i even got it home.. it may only have cost 50p but im taking it back tomorrow for a replacement.. not unreasonable is it (ill get the loo rolls also!) ..

Our cat stays at home when we go away (even over our last 3 week hol) , but he is very much an outdoor beastie.. I pay a friends daughter to come and feed him and look after the garden, (usually £10 a day , but we have always a lot of veggies needing watering) Well worth it i think.. Almost everytime my parent put their cat in the cattery she will come back with some infestation like ear mites and it costs them a vets bill on top of the cattery fee

Bit of a spendy day today:
£40 for day out including entrance to soft play, lunch (using a 25% off voucher) and ice creams.

Tesco shop (£54) but used a coupon to save £6 when you spend £60.

Toys purchased in the Tesco Clubcard Boost. I used £10 Clubcard vouchers to get £20 off total so £10 for toys which my DS has wanted for a while.

No spend days planned for tomorrow & Weds Smile

sweetkitty · 10/08/2015 22:50

Only spent £18 on haircuts for the DC but DH had budgeted for already so technically a NSD for me.

Don't get paid until the 18th and I have no money well less than no money as I'm already at overdraft max, feel so guilty as it's the DCs last week of school holidays and we can't afford to do anything that isn't free Hmm
