MissA good luck for tomos, will be thinking of you xx

So I have spent today

£6 on Frozen dvd - think dd is possible the only child left in the country without a copy and we could watch it Christmas eve, was half price in hmv.

£1 on a cup of tea

£3.60 parking

£13 in Poundstretchers - got 3 nice mugs, a washing up bowl, toothpaste, pack of brunch bars (am addicted!) and a coloured sand activity set which will give dd for Christmas for that!!

£5 in the works on 2 calendars, one for me and one for dd.

Think that is it, not too bad really.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 19/11/2014 17:11

Thanks guys Smile spotty you've made me feel so much better as I'm on my last pill tomorrow so v likely to get period in next couple of days, not sure how long catheter will be in, hopefully once I am able to get up they will take it out.
Just want to wake up with it all done and dusted, cured and hopefully not in horrendous pain.

Good luck for tomorrow missa xx

Today I've spent £20 paying the balance of my Christmas party and - because I've already put the money out - £20 for cleaner who comes tmrw (determined tmrw will be NSD)

Yesterday paid workman £200. We've gone for a temporary repair of our roof leak (we were quoted £2000 earlier in the year which we just couldn't afford). I've taken the money out of the £500 I'd saved for Christmas as most presents are bought now. That leaves a £300 buffer for any Christmas incidentals e.g. We've got a nice meal out planned, will use loads more petrol, food for Christmas Day etc.

DrewOB · 19/11/2014 17:23

Xmas card + magazine today so spent £8.40

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2014 17:31

MissA can you just keep taking your pill this month?

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2014 17:32

I bet the dr would let you take two packs consecutively under the circumstances you know.

Ask them. Worse they can say is no. Ask your dh for pads, they won't want you using tampons in hospital anyway and nhs towels are like nappy liners.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2014 17:35

I forgot, check your tesco orchard, there's an invite for Christmas gift sets. £5 off.

HearMyRoar · 19/11/2014 18:38

Don't worry about the catheter miss a. I had one after dd was born as I had a mucked up epidural. I was all sliced up, blood everywhere, general complete mess and it really was fine. It's even quiet nice not having to worry about getting to a toilet to be honest Blush

Anyway, moving swiftly on... Spent £1.50 on 2 packs of cuppa soups for lunches at work. It's nice to have something a bit warm in the winter.

fuzzpig · 19/11/2014 18:40

Ooh thanks for updating girlie - actually that's one of the lego sets I have on my wishlist! But DD specifically mentioned a house a little while ago so I'll probably go for one of those (still in the creator range, they are brilliant, we've had a few already). I'm also now considering a big lego board game for DS as he loves the ones we've got (Harry Potter and Minotaurus) - looking at Ramses Pyramid or Atlantis ones.

Monopoly eh? You're brave :o

MissA you will be in my thoughts tomorrow! Thank goodness they are getting on with it at long last.

Hoped today would be NSD as DS and I were both off sick :( but as had to still get DD to school, decided to get the bus for 3 out of 4 journeys (really not worth it on the return journey this morning, because we had to wait ages and there's no seat at that stop so was getting dizzier by the minute, but DS was worn out and asked to). £4.90 spent on fares today.

fuzzpig · 19/11/2014 18:42

Oh and definitely worth getting Frozen on DVD! We held on til DD's birthday in summer and even then she was one of the only ones not to have it. But then she'd already seen it a few times at school and CM. I'm waiting for the lego movie to be similarly reduced, I've not seen it less than a tenner.

fuzzpig · 19/11/2014 18:48

Oops just noticed the second set you linked to girlie. Yes that tree house is one of the ones I was looking at :)

Passthecake30 · 19/11/2014 18:52

£3ish on ingredients for rocky road for the school fair. I usually don't bother but the guilt has struck!

missA I'd carry on the pill if allowed. ...period just sounds too inconvenient atm!

574ejones · 19/11/2014 19:31

And another NSD for me, but got the dreaded credit card bill today. Usually I don't have much on it but I have got several large presents, my holiday deposit and my DHs huge car repair bill on it!

Good luck for your op tomorrow missa. Don't worry about the catheter, they can give you numbing gel if you are worried.

NSD here - didn't win my other Ebay thing. Never mind.

Sympathy 574ejones, I got my credit card bill the other day and it has our holiday flights for Feb on it so is huge!

NK5BM3 · 19/11/2014 20:54

Good luck MissA. Many positive thoughts for a successful op.

£5.50 for mcdonalds for 4 of us. They owed us 2 meals because the last time we went they didn't give me two packs of fries (I took away so didn't check). Rang them, complained and they stuck my name in a 'book'. So yes we had 2 meals and 2 children's meals and 2 apple pies for £5.50.

girliefriend · 19/11/2014 21:07

Oh God fuzz why am I brave for getting Monopoly?! You're scaring me Grin Yes lego creator is great, i had my eye on that tree house last year!

I think dd saw Frozen at the cinema but as far as I know hasn't seen it since, thought we could cuddle up and watch Christmas eve (once I have finished work that is.)

MissA I had a catheter when I had my c.section, infact they took it out too soon and I had to have another one put in Blush I can honestly say it is much less uncomfortable than having a smear and you get used to having it surprisingly quickly!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2014 21:10

Mine kept moving and I kept feeling desperate for a wee. Tbh it's way better than having to use a commode!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2014 21:10

Monopoly games can last days. You get quite competitive with monopoly for some reason.

MazzleDazzle · 19/11/2014 21:16

LSD here. Spent £4.50 on lunch at work.

The replacement tyre cost £117, but I put it on the credit card. It's the first time I've used it this month!

Catheters aren't bad at all. I've had them in after both emergency C-Sections. It was a bit cringey, but like someonr else said, not nearly as bad as a smear. Good luck. You've had a tough time of it MissA.

Iamnotanugget · 19/11/2014 22:27

I'm back after a really busy few days and it's taken me ages to catch up. MissA I've also had a catheter and honestly I didn't notice it, just felt weird that I never needed 'to go'. Hope everything goes well tomorrow.

girlie monopoly is banned in our house. It goes on for ages and people always fall out.

£5 renewing annual pass as I had vouchers from completing surveys to cover the rest of the cost. £150 shop from Tesco but got £20 off that using vouchers. I've started getting in some bits for over Christmas. I've also signed up to Orchard Christmas gifts. I think I've actually finished present shopping but I'm positive I'll get the twitch so I can use the voucher then.

girliefriend · 19/11/2014 22:39

Oh no am regretting Monopoly now Grin dd is ridiculously competitive I personally like Cluedo but no one will play with me as I always win Wink

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 20/11/2014 00:24

Well you've all made me feel loads better about the catheter situation Flowers this is why I love MN Grin

I can't sleep at all - instead sucking Fox's Glacier mints and bidding on crap on eBay - someone needs to take the iPad away from me Blush

OP posts:
RobinEllacott · 20/11/2014 07:05

Good luck for today, MissA. Hope all goes really well.
