Nsd again, 3 in a row!

No work tomos so planning on doing a bit of Christmas shopping....

574ejones · 18/11/2014 19:10

I have to say, that they don't usually check details on cheques, so you may be okay. Another NSD for me.

babsmam · 18/11/2014 19:45

Ohforfoxs post has just reminded me is anyone on the nhs minor ailments scheme at uk pharmacies. I heard someone register for it and googled it. Seems like it could save a few pence but don't want to register without knowing if it would benefit us?

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2014 19:50

Babsmam you can get calpol, ibuprofen, headlice treatment, worming treatment etc etc through that scheme. It's definitely worth doing.

Solasum · 18/11/2014 20:01

First NSD in recording-everything-I-spend memory. Woop!

NK5BM3 · 18/11/2014 20:58

£10 on lunch for me and a friend. Promised her lunch in exchange for some help at work.

Work isn't that great but I think my depression has lifted somewhat. Not sure why. Maybe it really was a bad bout of pmt.

RobinEllacott · 18/11/2014 21:15

Would have been an NSD, but I won an Ebay auction - Zara trouser suit for £25. If it's any good, bargain! My ludicrously expensive raisins arrived by FedEx (!) today so I can make Christmas pudding at the weekend - I put the fruit to soak for the cake on Saturday.

Hoping for NSD tomorrow. Have another Ebay bid, though, so if I win that'll be a bit more spending.

fuzzpig · 18/11/2014 21:20

£5.08 in Co-op for squash (don't normally get it but I have it hot when I have a cold) and a few other bits. That's it today

needastrongone · 18/11/2014 21:25

Frugal fail Sad

DH recently bought Tesco own brand Thermos flasks so take soup to work/school. Well, discovered after three attempts, even filling with hot water, that they are crap and hardly keep to contents warm for 2 hours. So had to order real Thermos flasks, which I should have done originally!

One definitely doesn't work, as the outside gets really hot but the other just loses heat really quickly.

Might chance my arm and take them back actually.

I have to bank cheques for work at least once a week, for years. Never had one rejected.

needastrongone · 18/11/2014 21:27

Excuse typos, sorry, damn phone and cracked screen.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/11/2014 21:31

Def return them, my john Lewis one keeps food hot till lunchtime.

needastrongone · 18/11/2014 21:50

Yes, I think that I will. They might not have been expensive but still. Frugality doesn't always pay does it? False economy in this case.

girliefriend · 18/11/2014 22:25

Oh dear got the itch and spent £50 on Christmas presents for dd Blush

babsmam · 19/11/2014 06:35

Ake it back needs - not fit for purpose.
Thanks spotty will register next time I'm in sainsburys or in the village

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2014 06:36

Hoping for another nsd today. I've not got anything planned apart from washing and wedding bits.

MissA hope you're still doing ok.

OhForFoxSakeYourPullingMyChain · 19/11/2014 07:00

back to work, NSD today
I am not going near a shop :)
good luck to everyone else!!

OhForFoxSakeYourPullingMyChain · 19/11/2014 07:05

babsmam, it was good when my twins were little, I just buy it now they are 8 but yes the minor ailments scheme was good when I used it :)

fuzzpig · 19/11/2014 07:16

Ooh Christmas shopping, what did you get girlie :o

girliefriend · 19/11/2014 09:30

Haha Fuzz two lego sets and bugger forgot what the other thing was.....

Just checked emails Blush - I bought the game Monopoly, we haven't got it and am thinking now dd is 8yo she would probably be old enough to play it.

This lego set and this one [http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00B06JTC8/ref=pe_385721_37986871_TE_item]] The monopoly game was reduced to £11 so thats not too bad.

Hello all Smile surgery has been booked for tomorrow afternoon so feeling rather nervous. They aren't exactly sure how extensive it will be but I'm being told to expect a 5-10 day stay in hospital afterwards to I'm assuming they're thinking quite a big operation.
Feeling positive though - it will all be worth it in the end. Just under a week until payday and not sure if work will put me on sick pay or pay me my usual salary Confused

Badvocinapeartree · 19/11/2014 14:58

Thinking of you missa x

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2014 15:41

Have you asked them how long the op will take MissA? Or is it a how long is a piece of string question.

£18 on cat litter & squash plus vitamins etc for dh.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 19/11/2014 15:46

They said it will be "several hours" ... Just want it over with now tbh. Scared of pain after and hate the thought of catheter etc so just want it done so I can start recuperating.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2014 15:52

Don't worry MissA the catheter isn't so bad. I had one in hospital last year and I had my period and a male nurse Blush hopefully they'll give you decent painkillers and it won't be too bad.

Successful nsd.
