Who fancies a No Spend Day thread (like MSE forum's) ?

I prefer MN to MSE but would like to do some NSDs in January. Anyone else interested in doing a support thread ? this is the idea

I have a shocking spending habit and i really, really need to curb it. So I am going to have a goal of 10 NSDs in January and aim to manage 3 in a row. That would be a massive achievement for me.

6/10 today.

Should be a top up shop tomorrow but I'm wondering if we can get away without one? We're supposed to be away at the weekend, but I'm twitching a bit with the weather report and wondering if we will be at home anyway...

6/10 yesterday but had a small spend today. I too am spending less on top up shops and making a list and only buying what I need not fancy!

No spend day 8 yesterday and all was ok till 7pm when dh persuaded me to spend £10.80 on two fish suppers- although I did use a tenner that a friend owed me

I was on course today, but then stupidly read the kindle bargain thread and bought some books - only 20p each, mind you, so spent a grand total of 80p today!

still on 9 / 15. yesterday was meant to be online shop aariving but they could not come because if the snow so had to walk to shops. only spent bare minimum because I did not want to carry it. a good way to economise Grin

Didn't spend on Wed, Thur & Fri this week so 10/10 for me now. Smile.
Shouldn't spend anything today so that'll be 11/10.

This month was my first one, so I didn't know what to aim for. May try for 15 for Feb. It's addictive though...

5/10! Need to pay for DDs dance classes tomorrow so it will be a SD and Tues is my weight loss group, would love to say that I could manage Wed and Thurs as NSDs though

well and truly stuck on 9 /15. online shop arrived at last and had to buy medicine for poorly DC. must do better.....
