Fox News Covid and Strokes

VillanellePinkDress · 18/03/2023 19:15

Fox News have today announced there is now an investigation by the CDC (Crt for Disease Control) regarding the covid vaccinations causing Strokes.
The video clip I saw said there have now been enough deaths to link it. It was breaking news yesterday in USA.
I've not heard anything on mainstream media in the UK? Has anyone else?

I saw the clip today, but believe it was from yesterday's Fox News

I don't follow thos stuff much. I did note an MP was moaning about an empty chamber and YouTube taking his video down. He had been speaking of these issues.

I guess the government have messed up or these people are talking nonsense.

Death rates tell their own story.

arstechnica.com/science/2023/03/florida-surgeon-general-wrong-on-vaccines-and-bad-at-his-job-cdc-and-fda-say/ is all I can find in recent news re strokes, vaccines and the CDC - and they seem to say the risk of stroke is lower after vaccination.
How odd.

Kerfuffler · 18/03/2023 19:29

In fact I can't find a single news org in the US carrying this story. It's not on the Fox website either.

You sure you didn't just have one of those dead realistic dreams @VillanellePinkDress ?

Badbudgeter · 18/03/2023 19:31

It’s a bit of a nothing story. The CDC have said there may be a link between increased stroke in over 65s and the Moderna vaccine. It might be nothing , no indication of similar with Pfizer. They will investigate as is their job. Fox News are keen to demonise anything vaccine based. Vaccines= democrat= whatever craziness they can get out there. The recent revelations of what Fox News really think behind the scenes and what is said on camera was quite entertaining.

I can't link the video, but I watched it this morning. It states breaking news, the CDC are investigating links to Strokes and the vaccine and that they were just getting the news in live. I clearly haven't dreamt this as it was this morning!

Do you seriously get your health advice from Fox News?

CosyFanTucci · 18/03/2023 19:34

Fox News - there’s your problem. Nice try though.

Of course not. I'm merely asking if anyone has seen anything on mainstream media over here regarding what I saw on US news. Jesus wept.

There's this, but it was months ago.

Someone sent me a link.
Obviously I thought it was a tad concerning.
Couldn't find anything on UK news.
Just wondering if I'd missed something.
Is that OK?

Try Dr John Campbell on YouTube.

Kerfuffler · 18/03/2023 19:37

Why can't you post the link? Is your paste button broken?

GulfCoastBeachGirl · 18/03/2023 19:38

As an American I highly recommend not relying too heavily on FOX News reporting, especially for anything vaccine related. Let's just say they've been known to cherry pick their facts.

The CDC would be a reliable source if there's anything to this study.

LittleFingerStrength · 18/03/2023 19:36

Try Dr John Campbell on YouTube.

If you want to be misled.

Highhi · 18/03/2023 19:42

Conveniently forgetting that the Covid virus itself massively increases the risk of stroke.

BlueSpark · 18/03/2023 19:42

I understand why you have posted this question.

Do you have the link you were sent? I have seen some American conspiracy pages post this (from people I know sharing) but I have not seen anything from what you may call a legitimate news source.

youshouldnthaveasked · 18/03/2023 19:44

A friend of mine, fit in her 40s, no previous history had a heart attack a few days after receiving a booster. She is currently in a study with other similar aged people investigating the link between the vaccines and booster.

stayathomer · 18/03/2023 19:46

A lady I know on sm (I’m an author so have a lot of American friends on fb) was talking about how she’s thinking of not getting this vaccine. She was a big ‘stay home, stay safe, get your vaccine’ person so I was surprised. Apparently it is quite a story in the us at the moment

youshouldnthaveasked · 18/03/2023 19:46

Vaccines and circulatory issues that should say

Coffeaddict · 18/03/2023 19:47

Fix news is not allowed to air in the UK as it is NOT a news source. I wouldn't take any notice of anything they say.

As a pp mentioned if there is an increased risk to a population by one if the vaccines it is the cdcs and fdas job to examine this. Until they have there is nothing to report.

He lost the party whip and was suspended from Parliament for spreading misinformation. Not exactly a reputable source

That was Andrew Bridgen, the same bloke who claimed that any English person could just waltz up and claim an Irish passport and thus dodge the effects of Brexit. He is an MP of very little brain.

LittleFingerStrength · 18/03/2023 19:55

The problem we have in this post truth world is due to all the lies it's very difficult to know what's true. This happened in Russia. There is a good film on it, also relevant due to the Trump issue today.

When they tell you mem are woman and that it's evil to not sterilise and keep children permanently pre pubessant, that NHS Annexe B is decent behaviour , it's difficult to trust anything.
