Scottish MNers - will you be ditching the mask today?

I haven’t been out and about today (wfh) but my husband was in town with the kids earlier and said he saw a pretty drastic reduction in mask wearing. There are debates on Twitter and it seems to be a fairly even split from that.

I’ll be ditching mine, to be honest. Given the rates we have had since England dropped the mask mandate, I don’t see any evidence that they are actually doing anything.

I do however suspect that a lot of places will want to keep them in place anyway - has this been the case in England?

Was in supermarket today with 5yo, doesn't really properly remember pre mask days...

Am still wearing one in the same settings as I did last week, last month.

I don't work so would maybe feel differently if I had to wear one for hours on end, but for me it's generally not a big deal. I meet friends once a week in a chain pub for breakfast so that'll probably be the first place I ditch it - doesn't make sense to wear one when standing, but be mask-free sitting at a table.

Still happy to wear one in shops, helps hide some of the chins 😂

Teen DC has their first in-person day today in college since the mask mandate changed, and is still planning on wearing one. I hope noone is an arse about it.

2 fucking years I’ve worn a mask under duress knowing it gave as much protection as a condom on my finger.

Saw a waitress stick her tongue out at a customer who was being a prat then flash red as she realised she wasn't wearing a mask! 🤣
The prat was too busy mid rant to notice but it made me chuckle!

I have to say it was so good not wearing one at the hairdressers yesterday and I swear I got a better cut. It always felt a bit lopsided since I wore the mask to appointments.
