Husband positive not vaccinated!!

Hi my husband tested positive today , he's been in bed most the day banging head and high temp. He's not vaccinated an im so worried he is going to get really ill 😭😭 he's normally fit and well x

I wouldn't worry too much. Me and dh both caught it at the same time. At the time I was unvaccinated, dh double jabbed. He was a lot more ill with it then me

Try not to worry. I have had it several times and am not vaccinated. The first time around I had symptoms like your husband. Maybe it's the first time he's had it in which case it will probably be pretty unpleasant but ok. Just because he isn't vaccinated doesn't mean he's certain to be very ill with it.

Is Paxlovid available in the UK? If he's just come down with it that would help him clear the virus.

Yes & no. It's, unfortunately, only available to the very most vulnerable.

Not even all those who were heavily advised to shield.

I had it twice, unvaxxed. Bad fatigue after jab 22 one, blood test showed ferritin level almost nonexistent so am on tablets now and it’s getting better.
