We're a family of 5 and only one of us has ever tested positive for covid. We're obviously all bound to get it at some point but it occurred to me that once testing ceases we'll never be able to say confidently that we've had it (unless we're so ill with it that it's confirmed of course, but I hope that's unlikely). It's a bit like the people who were I'll before testing came a thing who thought they'd had it but weren't able to know for sure.

My dad had managed to escape it until Monday was being extra cautious as was due to go Ireland Thursday to see family . So no idea where he got it from as not done much .
He’s 73 ..totally took it out of him was in bed 2 days still no real appetite day 7 but feeling a lot better then he was .
I think Chris whitty said everyone will get it and I suppose some will have it worse then others .

I haven't had it & I test regularly as I work in the care sector. DH has had it & felt ill with it (had symptoms, so I urged him to get tested, he did, it was positive). DS3 was part of that first wave of Omicron mid December. His GF had symptoms so both did LFT tests. Hers was negative, his was positive. He then did a PCR, also positives. Self isolated for 10 days (it changed to 7 days on his 10th day) He had no no symptoms throughout. DSs 1, 2 & 4 haven't had it.

None of us, family of 4.

I test twice a week minimum as work in a school with 700 kids and numerous outbreaks. My daughter was positive recently, cuddled her, didn’t isolate her, no one in the house caught it, she is the only one in our house to have had it

Getoutofbed25 · 27/02/2022 17:54

I mean I didn’t isolate her in our home, she was isolated from anyone out with our household, she is 11 and very anxious so isolation would have been too much for her to handle
