Have you all had a booster jab?

I’ve had two vaccines but no booster.
Are there a lot of us around?
Are more boosters expected to be rolled out? Or is that it now?

Boosted and currently have Covid. I feel like I am done with boosters for a while, as three jabs and Covid should cover me for a while I hope 🤣🤣

slaybell · 11/02/2022 21:06

Yep, two vaccines, booster, previously had covid.

A month after booster get covid again and feel just as bad as I did the first time I had it, if not worse (when I was unvaccinated).

Anecdotal of course but I feel like the vaccine has made no difference to me whatsoever.

Probably won't bother with another.

CrunchyCarrot · 11/02/2022 22:22

@XenoBitch

Had no jabs at all
Nor me.
flipflop76 · 11/02/2022 22:26

No booster due to adverse reaction to the first two - still have issues.

Movingonup22 · 11/02/2022 22:42

@flipflop76 what ongoing issues do you have? I know some women are concerned about ongoing impact on periods.

Abraxan · 11/02/2022 22:44

Clarkkentglasses

I mistyped, but only just noticed through your quite.

3 covid jabs and a flu jab so far, another a 4th covid one next month.
Also have a pneumonia vaccine late last year.

So have had 5 so far, and 1 more to go.

I've also had covid twice now, last time more recently and was given an antiviral infusion.

Mind, I'm also used to having to inject myself once a week with other medication, so tbh having covid jabs really weren't a concern for me. They've got a lot less serious side effects that the other one I do regularly.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 12/02/2022 00:11

None for me. No covid vaccines at all. Got excited about Omicron the day I heard about how mild it was in SA. Even did a post on here about it saying so And had loads of people say I was nuts and that I shouldn't assume it would be mild here. Finally got covid for the first time two weeks ago and was virtually asymptotic. I faired better than most vaccinated people I know. Suspect whether people were vaccinated or not had played very little difference in the severity of their symptoms with omicron. Also not denying that the vaccine hasn't helped with the previous two waves, but I also don't think that the entire U.K. population needs it and has benefitted from it.

bloodywhitecat · 12/02/2022 00:17

Me; double vaccinated and had the booster. DH[ triple vaccinated and not boosted, I have no idea how or when he will get his booster.

NinaDefoe · 12/02/2022 09:41

So far:
38 No
84 Yes (not including relatives)

A back of an envelope survey!
Thanks everyone!
I should apply for a job in Government statistics 🤓

I’m another 2 vax but not boosted. We know so much more now and the landscape has changed.

Barrawarra · 12/02/2022 09:46

I like your diligent statistical presentations!!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 12/02/2022 09:49

Not boosted. The initial two jabs messed up my periods for months.

Thank you! I’m expecting my chart to be show in the next government briefing. I’ve just sent it over to Boris.

Just had my booster last week at our maternity drop in clinic, am 34 weeks pregnant. Was supposed to get it back in December but had covid at the time. No side effects with any of my jabs other than a sore arm (AstraZeneca for main jabs and Moderna for booster). Covid knocked me on my arse for weeks though.

TulipsGarden · 12/02/2022 10:11

Yes boosted, will happily have any more they care to give me. I expect it to be one a year with flu jab in future, though perhaps one more this summer as they're working on an Omicron-specific vaccine.

FluffyFlower · 12/02/2022 11:04

Boosted and tested positive less than two months later. 90 percent of people I know who got down with omicron was boosted.

Buzzinwithbez · 12/02/2022 11:13

I've had none. Had covid over Christmas. Was recently re-exposed and all good. Hopefully my immune system will continue to do its thing for a good while yet.

southeastdweller · 12/02/2022 11:16

Nope. Can’t be bothered. Two vaccinations is enough for me.

WorryMcGee · 12/02/2022 11:49

Had Covid March 2020. Then had the two jabs before I got pregnant, didn’t get a booster as wasn’t comfortable having it in pregnancy (and “original” Covid didn’t cause me much of a problem so didn’t see the need to make myself anxious over it). Now have Covid again (I suspect omicron) at 29 weeks pg and all it caused was a stuffy nose for two days. I know where I caught it - a weekend away with friends, where we all tested the morning of the trip, all negative, didn’t go anywhere except the Airbnb, one developed a bit of a cough Sunday and Monday we all tested positive so she obviously had it at the start of the trip but the LFT didn’t pick it up. There is no difference between my symptoms, the others who aren’t boosted, the ones who have had boosters and the one friend who is completely unvaccinated. The only two who didn’t catch it had Covid in January.

Louisa111 · 12/02/2022 12:55

Double jabbed but not boosted. Won't be having anymore as the side effects from the vaccine lasted months..was worse then when I got covid and I know lots of people saying the same.
Parents got boosted early dec and they are still not feeling right so no more for them either

MillieMoonbeam · 12/02/2022 18:47

All 17 in my immediate family have had the 3 jabs, including the teenagers. The other children are too young at the moment.

Four tested positive for covid in recent weeks. None had symptoms other than a mild cough. The only way they knew they were positive is because they test 3 times a week for their jobs.

gluteustothemaximus · 12/02/2022 20:08

Same here.

What's the point of a booster that only lasts 10 weeks anyway?

Everyone at work all triple boosted, loads are off with covid, lots very ill, some back and very unwell possible long covid.
