Have you all had a booster jab?

I’ve had two vaccines but no booster.
Are there a lot of us around?
Are more boosters expected to be rolled out? Or is that it now?

Boosted. I'm pretty disappointed with the vaccine though as my 5G hasn't kicked in yet 😉

trumpisagit · 11/02/2022 10:01

I think we need some clearer evidence of what the vaccine does against Omicron and who it benefits most. Also how it affects transmission.
That said, I am boosted, and would take a second booster if offered.
However if I had no underlying conditions and was younger I don't know if I would feel the same.

TheCanyon · 11/02/2022 10:04

I'm double and boosted, dh triple and boosted, dd13 double, dd11 and dts7 are getting theirs tomorrow.

CocoaBella · 11/02/2022 10:14

Got mine this week. I delayed for a couple of months after having Covid and was originally not going to bother, but I want the option to travel places like France that may require it plus I have CV extended family, so decided if it can help reduce their risk even a tiny bit it's worth it.

MrsPnut · 11/02/2022 10:25

I have had 3 and having my booster in 10 days time.

I should be able to pick up 5G in all countries and am fully nanopaticled up!

3peassuit · 11/02/2022 10:32

Boosted and flu jabbed. If it’s decided we need a 4th jab, I’ll have that too.

I am also going to France but suspect we’ll be required to have yet another vaccine before then.

Yes. As have my husband and my two children (18 and 19). Why haven't you?

GreggsDoVitalWork · 11/02/2022 10:47

Boosted and will keep taking every booster until I stick to the fridge. Grin

EmpressSuiko · 11/02/2022 10:47

Both me and DH are boosted.

APurpleSquirrel · 11/02/2022 10:50

@ExhaustedMumma

Yep, boosted mid December. Got Covid mid Jan and it was fairly mild.
Same. Will have another if offered.
RedRobyn2021 · 11/02/2022 10:53

Had mine before Christmas

Nonnymum · 11/02/2022 10:58

Boosted. When it comes to vaccines they can give me everything they've got.

This, why wouldn't you?'

use257 · 11/02/2022 11:09

No jabs

Not boosted.
DS (9) recently had covid, I had slightly sore ears for a couple of days (which was my first symptom when I had covid in 2020) but it never developed into anything and I stayed negative.
I think the only reason I’d get a booster is for travel or the covid status app (I’m in Scotland) which says I’m not fully vaccinated. For me personally, I’m not sure that there’s a health benefit of the booster in my current situation.

ABitBesottedWithMyDog · 11/02/2022 11:51

Not. My arm is still smarting from my second jab six months ago, quite a deep and persistent ache.

I am booked in for one next week, but will have to cancel it because of other commitments. Not that bothered.

My twice-jabbed husband didn't get a booster because for some reason the website keeps telling him he has to go two towns over for it, despite his having the same postcode as I, who have a choice of five different chemists under a mile away.

ColonelHaiti · 11/02/2022 11:52

@CeeceeBloomingdale

Boosted. I work in travel and it's interesting to see how many people have decided to get boosted recently once they realise they will not be able to go on holiday to many destinations without one.
Do I need a booster for Dubai?
TeenPlusCat · 11/02/2022 11:53

Boosted here too.
And my 17yo is booked in for her booster over half term too.

Possibly due to being a different age band / having had different initial vaccines?
ABitBesottedWithMyDog · 11/02/2022 11:56

@TeenPlusCat Good thinking, could be that. He had AZ, I had Pfizer.

skippy67 · 11/02/2022 11:56

Me, Dh, and both dc are all boosted.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/02/2022 11:57

Had the first two but not the booster - I'l get it done if I have to (for travel) but otherwise no

Happy to have a once yearly schedule though

HPLikecraft · 11/02/2022 12:05

I'm unvaccinated. Got Covid. Not even a sniffle.
What are people protecting exactly?

Protecting others who may not be able to have vaccine or who may be CEV even with it, perhaps? Hmm

I know this may not be most people's primary motivation, but it's alarming that some don't even consider it as an important factor. Vaccination is a society benefit, not just a personal one.
