Hi everyone,
Just wondered if there was anyone else currently with Covid, I suffer from anxiety and sitting alone in my room isolating really isn't helping. Im only on day 2.
So far I've had a very sore throat and my nose feels slightly congested.
I would love to have a covid pal to get through these difficult and lonely few days. GrinWink

@DoctorSnortles yeah I called and they are getting a clinician to phone me some time soon .. will report back with what they say x phone if you’re worried hon

Can you imagine not being fkn jabbed and this is the mild variant !!!???

DoctorSnortles · 12/02/2022 17:28

It's not very nice, that's for sure!

I'm pretty sure my main problem is anxiety about the potential for it to turn nasty. I've had all my jabs but I am still worried that I'll end up in hospital and I think that's what is making me feel even worse. When I sit down and carefully assess how I am, I have definitely had previous viruses that made me a bit wheezy in a similar way and that turned out OK. I need to calm the feck down!

Millicent2022 · 12/02/2022 17:32

@DoctorSnortles same keep thinking about that guy derek thingy and who would who after my animals and kids etc etc

This is me also, just thinking of the worst scenario. Its just so mentally draining.

Hi all - just had a callback from lovely nurse at 111. She said -

Chest being tight / heavy totally
Normal effect of Covid and is due to inflammation in airways . She said as I am -

Eating and drinking
No sharp pain in chest
Clear mucous
No temp

Is nothing to worry about but call back if am at all worried

She also said tightness and heaviness can be made worse by exertion and this morning i had been doing some chores

She was really nice , phone if you’re worried guys x

Millicent2022 · 12/02/2022 18:39

She’s massively reassured me

She also said booster effect stops after 8 ish weeks they think now !

Moongirl10 · 12/02/2022 20:17

Day 6 for me. Chest is much better. Vicks vapour rub was the only thing that helped to ease it. Still have slight headache and runny nose but feel so much better. I really thought I would’ve had it a bit milder since I’m triple jabbed.

RightsHoardingRaptor · 12/02/2022 20:54

@Moongirl10 me too! I am so gobsmacked at how bad I get and it honestly makes me think I would have been really bad had I caught a stronger variant / no jabs. It's made me very anxious and I'm now very worried about dp getting it.

RightsHoardingRaptor · 12/02/2022 20:55

Not ridiculously worried, just concerned that it could be worse for him than I had really comprehended until this week.

Totally am also now worried about my dp and my mum getting it

When not if !

Yeah I think I would have been very poorly without the Pfizer jabs

My sister has had delta and omicron

Jabbed both times and says delta is just so much more terrible than omicron (

Mymincepie · 12/02/2022 21:11

I've heard Omicron is worse than Delta. I guess it just depends.

girafferafferaffe · 12/02/2022 21:18

Me 👋🏻 I'm 10 weeks pregnant as well. Dh and dd still negative so they went out today so I wallowed in my blanket most of the day.

DelorisVC · 12/02/2022 21:21

Hi everyone.
I had a positive test this week. Still testing negative on lfts but obviously had a positive pcr.
I’ve worked in a school throughout this bloody pandemic with negative tests , not bothering to go out and do anything because I might get Covid and not be able to attend. I finally decided to stop putting my life on hold and spent a fortune on events this half term because I thought it would be ok. Ha fucking ha.
I’m lucky enough not to be that ill. .Tired and achey at times and a bit of a cough, cold and sore throat. My sinuses and head were painful at first but that’s subsided.
I’ve had the 2 vaccinations and the booster so bloody grateful for that right now because I might not be feeling so “well” otherwise.
I was ill at the beginning of the pandemic with Covid symptoms before there was testing for the general public. That really really knocked me for 6.
I was so ill. Maybe my antibodies have helped me a bit too.
I think Wine might help if anyone’s up to it.

Ah I thought omicron was meant to be milder generally bUT I have felt pretty rubbish myself !

Oh blimey get well wishes to you and your little passenger ! X
girafferafferaffe · 12/02/2022 22:03

@Millicent2022 thank you! Thankfully I'm not too bad just a bit breathless, tired, sneezy, headachy and coughing a little bit. I'm struggling with isolating as I hate being stuck in but have been doing home exercise to keep my spirits up! (Although it takes me a while to catch my breath after!) And attempting to rest and watch things I never get the time to watch.

Tootsey11 · 12/02/2022 22:32

Me, I've got omicron now, not jabbed. I've had multiple variants, and although chest is pretty sore atm, this is much milder than the first variant in March 2020.

PickAChew · 12/02/2022 22:41

I'm about 8 weeks from my booster, now.

Amazingly, after a terrible sinusy day 8, day 9 has been fine for me.

Of course, my barely visible positive, yesterday was a BFP, today!

Though if the weather forecast for tomorrow wasn't disgusting, I'd take myself for a walk, regardless. I'm allowed out on Monday and we're only a week off not isolating, anyhow.

PickAChew · 12/02/2022 22:44

Ds2 isn't jabbed and was no worse than triple jabbed DH. If anything, dh is still suffering, over 2 weeks in. His left lung still feels like it has something in there and he's having some pretty bad coughing fits.

Omg I would be even more scared if o was t jabbed ..

So natural immunity just ain’t gonna happen I guess f you’ve had it multiple times ..

Tootsey11 · 12/02/2022 23:03

@Millicent2022 the first time was bad, in bed 3 months. All the other times have been a lot milder, about 5 days each time, quite rough but manageable. I've got long covid from the first infection and not sure I will ever be right again.
