Anyone have covid right now?

Hi everyone,
Just wondered if there was anyone else currently with Covid, I suffer from anxiety and sitting alone in my room isolating really isn't helping. Im only on day 2.
So far I've had a very sore throat and my nose feels slightly congested.
I would love to have a covid pal to get through these difficult and lonely few days. GrinWink

Is it essential that you sit alone in one room? I certainly didn't do that when i had covid recently.

WaterBottle123 · 09/02/2022 07:08

Do a gentle workout to help banish the anxiety, read a book rather than doom scrolling. It's a mild illness for the vaccinated

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 09/02/2022 07:09

Don't imprison yourself in your room that's madness

SunshineMoon100 · 09/02/2022 07:43

Oh I'm not in my room constantly but more than usual due to my elderly parents living with me.

You don't need to lock yourself in a room that's just crazy this variant is so mild it's nothing more than a cold really.

Madmog · 09/02/2022 08:02

I understand why you're trying to limit contact with your parents. Do you have a garden? If so, I've wrapped myself up a couple of times, when it's sunny, and had a slow potter around looking at plants, the view. If you don't feel too bad there are some 10-15 min exercise classes online which will keep you moving.

BumpityFlip · 09/02/2022 08:06

Me. On day two. I've got the same symptoms, very sore throat, a bit congested and the occasional cough. I'm CEV so waiting for the dr to ring about antivirals but atm I'm actually feeling fine, just like I've got a standard winter virus. I'm keeping my distance from DH and there's a bit more hand washing and wiping things down with flash but that's all. I'm hopeful it'll just be a mild, slightly irritating, interruption to normal life that will be over in a few days.

nowtygaffer · 09/02/2022 08:12

Hi OP, I'm on about day 14 now and pretty much back to normal. I'll keep you company! Hope you've had a good sleep ad aren't feeling too bad.

The4ks · 09/02/2022 08:17

Hello almost identical situation here!
Also suffer from depression and anxiety so know how you're feeling.
Got a teenage son at home so trying to avoid him as much as possible but not staying in one room.

Mymincepie · 09/02/2022 08:57

I'm on day 1 (tested positive yesterday). Tickly cough here and bit congested. Starting to get a bit of back ache in kidney area.

I’m day 7 and still testing positive.

I’m isolating in one room too as if my little one gets it it’s no more nursery and with that come taking unpaid leave to look after her so it’s not that simple for many families.

I too get out in the garden when I can. Really can’t see me getting out before the 10 days at this rate!

Yeah its easy for people to be unkind but people just don't wish to understand other peoples circumstances. My elderly Father is due for an operation and Him getting covid would just mess everything up so I have to think of him. I totally understand where you are coming from, how are you feeling in yourself x

@SunshineMoon100 Not taken any vitamins, no. Just plenty of rest and fluids.

I seem to be moving through the symptoms list, sore throat is a bit better but cough started in earnest last night. None have been too bad though.

How are you doing?

How is everyone? Day 2. Feel odd, off centre. Like I need a good cough.

Herani · 10/02/2022 22:58

Day 2 for me. Similar symptoms but also have inflamed chest and have completely lost my voice. Skin is feeling a bit uncomfortable but the whole thing is nothing like full-blown flu. I wouldn’t say ‘mild’ though.
I also have mild anxiety and whereas I’m usually very good at entertaining myself, I feel quite restless.

Mymincepie · 11/02/2022 00:58

Inflamed chest... good way of describing it. I have insomnia again too and starting to get sore throat and runny nose.
