Anyone have covid right now?

Hi everyone,
Just wondered if there was anyone else currently with Covid, I suffer from anxiety and sitting alone in my room isolating really isn't helping. Im only on day 2.
So far I've had a very sore throat and my nose feels slightly congested.
I would love to have a covid pal to get through these difficult and lonely few days.

You don't need to lock yourself in a room that's just crazy this variant is so mild it's nothing more than a cold really.

I've currently got it. First time, triple jabbed. It's far worse than a mild cold. I feel like I've been run over by a truck.

I didn't sleep at all. Was hot and cold and even closing my eyes hurts. I feel so unwell.

Please tell me that you're taking some pain relief @Chakraleaf and @dogmumma?

Paracetamol and ibuprofen will help with pain and also bring your temperature down

This might be a milder variant, relatively speaking, but I can assure you that I feel absolutely shit. Therefore I do not want to risk passing this on to my DH or DS1, so am keeping myself hidden away from them.

Day 8 and feel really nauseous and tired again this pm. So frustrating after feeling much better yesterday.

Positive today, hoping for a short spell 🤞Not feeling too bad so far

I'm 11 days in testing negative thought i was better but still not 100 % got sore throat and still sporadic headaches

That's what I'm wondering yoyokitten as i perked up now getting symtoms back already

Yeah, taking paracetamol, ibuprofen and Codine. Doesn't seem to be touching it to be honest

Day 5 for me so a chance to end isolation if I LFT negative tomorrow and Friday (I'm in Scotland).

I have a dentist appointment on Day 11 and I phoned to postpone it to be told as long as I am LFT negative on Day 10 it's fine.

I appreciate we are well past the peak of the pandemic but I really don't want to pass this on! We've had 2 years of being conditioned to "STAY INSIDE" it feels strange to not lock myself away for longer.

My symptoms today are less of a snuffy nose. It's moved to my chest which feels a bit "wheezy".

Does anyone else have no appetite? I don't feel hungry at all. I have been resting daily and today is day 5 and the line is just getting darker and darker. I was hoping that I would be feeling a bit better by now.

I have zero appetite. In the last 2 days I've manage one half of a piece of cheese on toast, 5 spoons of soup and that's it. Just can't stomach it. Just making sure I'm drinking plenty of fluids.

As I'm not cooking, eating has been entirely dependent on what's been cooked by DH or ordered as a takeaway - and I've not really been hungry anyway, so I've just eaten anything I fancied.

There has also been gin, which wouldn't normally happen at the beginning of the week. Not sure if it really made me feel any better, but still.

I was feeling much better this afternoon, until I had a sudden, violent coughing fit, which made my throat really bad again. And I think I'm subsiding into the evening now.

I have some appetite back today but I still can't taste anything. It's very frustrating.

DS1 (30) has also just tested positive. Joy.

Get some hot buttered toast down you. Good for scratching the throat.

Couldn't face the gin tho.

I remember at Uni I had such bad tonsillitis all I could eat for days was very mushy weetabix the pain in swallowing was so bad.

My DD(7) is negative so far. We both really miss cuddles tho.

Oh!!! I though I was finally have to wear my glasses more regularly! Well that's interesting.

I'm day 4. Very very Tired and vacant. Headachy but ok. Just feel weird. Dp went into hospital with it in April 2020 (he had only just come out and still had tracheostomy wound open). We're all jabbed up so trusting we'll be ok - tho I'm fat!

Can't stop sneezing this evening, my eyes really hurt too.
In our house DH, myself and DS (17) have all tested positive. With both parents having it I'm not sure my 5yr old will avoid it:(

Just because you ‘dont have to isolate by law, it certainly Doesnt mean that you arent contagious !

Im day 12 and just starting to feel more human

4 jabs. 4th Jab, only 3 weeks before i caught it

Day 2 for me.

Feel incredibly rough
Aching low lying constant headache
Dry itchy eyes
Sneezing a lot
Coughing a lot
Cant concentrate
Can't sleep
Fatigued

I had a meeting yesterday and straight after tested as felt awful and came up 2 strong red lines immediately.

I'm vaccinated and boosted and genuinely feel floored but because I've had colleagues who have had covid recently and carried on working I feel like im shirking or making more of this than I should (or feel that this is what my boss will be thinking!) when (I'm never off Ill) I genuinely feel terrible and couldn't work

Which is why I'm testing and not assuming I can see people just because I feel better...

OH tested positive yesterday and has been coughing all over the house. I have woken up with a sore throat. Really don't want to catch it. I wish the vaccines worked.
