Anyone have covid right now?

Hi everyone,
Just wondered if there was anyone else currently with Covid, I suffer from anxiety and sitting alone in my room isolating really isn't helping. Im only on day 2.
So far I've had a very sore throat and my nose feels slightly congested.
I would love to have a covid pal to get through these difficult and lonely few days.

First positive LFT for me was a week ago today.

And today finally a negative LFT.

So grateful that I've had an easy ride so far really.

Days 2/3 I was headachey and tired. Smell and taste disappeared 100% for days 3-5ish but now slowly coming back.

So grateful for my 3 jabs and that I was able to isolate without stress.

Day 9 and I'm still testing positive but definitely feel better today. I still sound like Marge Simpson but I feel ok. Thank god I can go out again soon, I am DONE with sitting in my bedroom (although having the bed to myself is kinda nice actually).

@FedUpOfLighteningCrotch I would think it’s probably not covid if you have those symptoms but lft negative. Hope you feel better soon, plenty of rest.

I’ve been out for a walk today for the first time since getting covid and feel exhausted now!

Tested for COVID for the 2nd time!

2020- confirmed with COVID antibodies
Jabber and boosted
2022- confirmed COVID again

Oh blimey ! Hope you get it mild ! I guess we are all gonna have to get used to getting it again and again !

DD2 tested positive last Tuesday and had first negative LFT today.

I tested positive yesterday, as did my DH. I feel a bit I’ll, he feels better.

Headmistress arranged for DD1 (had COVID in December, testing negative daily this time around) to be picked up and dropped off from school today.

Friends are doing the school run for us over the coming days, taking both girls (if DD2 gets a second negative).

I feel awful for our girls. They’ve had so many nice things cancelled and it’s still rumbling on for us.

I am on day 9 and feel absolutely exhausted. Wish it would pass. My boss wants me back to work after day 10. I sobbed this morning because i am just so washed out with it all.

Day 4 feeling slightly better but weird new symptoms dry very sore lips, started coughing now too and coldsores too. Nearly everyone in the home now infected. Hoping over worst of it but who knows i felt better day 2 then back to square one that evening. I hope everyone here has a speedy recovery

Oh no spongebobsmartypants that sucks so bad. This is all down to Boris!! I really hope they can be compassionate with you

Day 4 for me. Feeling mostly better, still got sinus burning/pain and stuffy nose. Bit tired. DC1 still faint positive on Day 6 and DC2 strong positive on Day 5 but they are both absolutely fine in themselves.

I just want a hug!!

I was on the OG covid thread back in March 2020 and haven’t joined the club since! But now 4 of my kids all have covid and I don’t feel great. Was very tired earlier this week and had headaches, now have a sore throat and upset stomach. My LFT are constantly negative while my kids lines comes up immediately. Wondering if I am having an immune response to being exposed to the kids. Have ordered PCR to see if that picks anything up.

Maybe seeriously but don't have too much trust in LFts so good job getting a pcr as one of my dd was first to get ill and she only showed positive upon actually feeling better whereas the rest of ours showed straight away or extremely faint. It is probably round 2 i hate to say, take care. Day 5 i think, feel better but extremely tired and covid eyes are back, now last little one has it too. Full house here so much for government saying covids gone lol

Is this your first time?

I was very poorly March 2020, with all symptoms under the sun but it was the breathing difficulties that scared me. Am genuinely scared of feeling like that again. Am hoping for most people that 2/3rd time etc it becomes milder?!

Had same, sore dry lips and mouth ulcers inside lips and on tongue for about 3 days. Hope you and yours feel better soon.

First neg lft today (day 10) back at work tmro.

If I get a positive PCR, I am guessing I should count first day as when I first started feeling poorly on Monday?

So feeling rather crappy. Muscles pain all day, skin feels like it’s burning. Headache. Sore throat. Have a fever of 38 now. Taste and smell has diminished. But still no positive test! Just a reminder if anyone only reads this post - I have 4 kids who all currently have covid so the chance of me having something else random that is causing me to feel this unwell is rather slim.

I have my positive line this morning. No surprise there. I have been feeling very poorly. Should I expect to feel even worse now that the line only appeared today?

DS tested positive Tuesday and I did on Wednesday. But only after ignoring the instructions on the FlowFlex test and doing a throat/mouth swab. LFT was completely negative doing nasal sample 5 mins later!

That’s interesting as I finally tested positive this morning and decided to just swab my throat in case it picked something else up. Would be interested to know if I just do the nose would it be clear.

Saliva apparently? I thought I would try after reading this and the positive came up right away.

Interesting as we are all negative on only nasal swabs. They simply don't work on this new strain i reckon. But all of us positive on throat and nose swab

Day 6 still positive although feel so much better at the weekend I was genuinely scared how I’ll I felt. But I hate this I know I’m positive but no longer have to isolate I will, but it was easier when it was compulsory.
