Hi everyone,
Just wondered if there was anyone else currently with Covid, I suffer from anxiety and sitting alone in my room isolating really isn't helping. Im only on day 2.
So far I've had a very sore throat and my nose feels slightly congested.
I would love to have a covid pal to get through these difficult and lonely few days. GrinWink

Hi Sunshine. Me too, I'm on Day 3 and still feel awful. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.I was meeting a friend for lunch on Thursday, so took a test as usual. The red line appeared immediately, and It's gone downhill from there. Triple jabbed too.

Sorry you are all feeling so rough. It really is horrible! Day 9 for me today and still testing positive. Today is the best I’ve felt so far but I’m absolutely exhausted now. Still have the lingering chesty cough and congestion but it’s much less now.

CosmoMint · 19/02/2022 20:20

@Millicent2022- thank you! This is reassuring to hear someone who has similar symptoms and gives me hope that things will get better! Flowers

takeyourcanvasbag · 19/02/2022 20:26

@CosmoMint I felt awful for the first few days too and had lots of different symptoms. It seemed like every day brought something new! I was worrying about long covid too but I definitely feel like I’m on the mend today. It is horrible though and so unfair that some people seem to sail through with barely any symptoms at all!

Mymincepie · 19/02/2022 22:06

Day 11 and positive line still. Sinus pain, headache and a fever all of a sudden after not having one since day 0.

CosmoMint · 19/02/2022 22:09

@takeyourcanvasbag- good you are feeling better. You give me hope too. Yes, I can’t believe some people are asymptomatic and others so ill with it.

Covidpositive19 · 20/02/2022 08:04

I’m on day 3 now. I just have cold symptoms, constant nose blowing.

Out of interest is anyone counting “day zero” any more, ie the day of the positive test is day 0, then the following day is day 1? From reading this thread it doesn’t look like it (I’m not, I’m technically counting day 3 as I had a positive LFT on Friday, but to be honest I have had these symptoms for a few days before anyway. So I will end isolation as soon as I’m negative.

takeyourcanvasbag · 20/02/2022 08:30

I am counting test day as day zero but I definitely did have symptoms from 2-3 days before I had a positive test. Day 10 from first test and still positive Envy

Millicent2022 · 20/02/2022 08:32

Feeling a lot better today as some of the gunk in my airways seems to be coming out at last !

Is anyone else kind of glad they’ve had it now before isolation ends and it has another big wave probably. At least have some protection from the booster before Xmas , the more time that goes on the less would have iyswim

Mymincepie · 20/02/2022 09:12

I am a bit glad to have had it now, but I'm still feeling really ropey from it (chest and sinus). So it's stressing me out right now.

BoozeHound · 20/02/2022 09:41

Hi all, I’m day 5 and had a rough couple of days the the start but feel pretty ok in terms of normal covid symptoms.
Ive got crippling lower back pain though, just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this? It’s flipping awful.

Think that’s a known symptom yeah
Millicent2022 · 20/02/2022 09:54

@Mymincepie is your chest tight still?

balkanscot · 20/02/2022 09:55

@BoozeHound I had throbbing lower back/upper leg pain - it had started about 4 days before I tested positive and lasted on and off until yesterday (day 7). It was horrendous as it wasn’t painful as such but a dull, throbbing ache, including muscle twitches. Applying Voltarol gel helped a bit.

takeyourcanvasbag · 20/02/2022 10:31

@BoozeHound my brother had that as well.

I am quite glad we’ve had it now but I’m still irrationally annoyed that we had to get it iyswim.

BoozeHound · 20/02/2022 10:31

@balkanscot and @Millicent2022 thanks for your replies, that’s reassuring and sounds very similar to my pain. I’m not very good at being unwell/ in pain. I panic that something serious must be wrong if my body hurts so much

Same ! I had chest pain and some breathlessness for a couple of days, was freaking out !

Mymincepie · 20/02/2022 10:52

Millicent. Not a tight chest, but tickly and like it's inflamed. This is kind of new today. Eyes still water and bad sinuses. Still positive. Day 12.

Millicent2022 · 20/02/2022 11:29

@Mymincepie I read that omicron goes into the bronchi , hence inflamed tickle feeling (

takeyourcanvasbag · 20/02/2022 12:07

Is anyone having trouble with smell/taste? Mine had improved but everything seems very faint today, especially taste.

CosmoMint · 20/02/2022 12:26

@takeyourcanvasbag- I heard that can still happen with omicron, loss of taste and smell. I haven’t had that but I did have weird taste in mouth on and off for three of the days so far.

Queenkarm · 20/02/2022 12:29

Day 5 feel very congested pain in one side of my neck and sometimes fingers hurt. Really hoping it does not get any worse. Flowershope you all feel better soon x

Jestal · 20/02/2022 21:38

How often after getting a positive is everyone testing? We have limited laterals left but I do want to know when it will start showing up negative

Also does anyone else feel winded when they lie down and forced to cough. Its making me really anxious

Mymincepie · 20/02/2022 23:30

On day 5. But done one everyday since then.

How is everyone?
