Hi everyone,
Just wondered if there was anyone else currently with Covid, I suffer from anxiety and sitting alone in my room isolating really isn't helping. Im only on day 2.
So far I've had a very sore throat and my nose feels slightly congested.
I would love to have a covid pal to get through these difficult and lonely few days. GrinWink

Day 5 here and sore throat much better but coughing up lumps of green mucus ( sorry TMI!) My chest hurts and it hurts to cough. Still, I think I'm feeling a bit better than yesterday but I have taken today and yesterday off sick as couldn't face/focus on work I don't think.

crossstitchingnana · 17/02/2022 14:23

Day 4 here, yesterday was the worst. But an hour ago thought I was going to pass out. Don't really feel like eating, cough, no taste/smell, aches and fatigue. I am in my room, have been all along, to prevent others from getting it. Today my dd tests positive. I have been triple jabbed so I dread to think what this would be like without. My octogenarian parents have it too, which is far more concerning. (I live nowhere near them, it's coincidence. )

@xx18921

Day 6, still a strong positive. Less congested just light headedness, bit if a cough, no taste/smell.

Struggling to eat, breast milk supply low for 5 month old who is bunged up...v.stressful.

My milk supply seemed to suffer too, but I thought it was maybe because I was taking cold and flu tables with decongestant in! My baby got a bit fussy at feeds, but luckily she's nearly 10 months so I was able to give her food to make up for it. She seemed to sleep better too when she was poorly, even without a lot of milk - prob just exhausted. Her only other symptoms was lots of snot and a little bit of a cough (I didn't actually test her, but I don't think there's any way she wouldn't have got it from me)

@SazCat my DD is only 5 months come saturday so stressed she is going to be dehydrated. HV said to keep going , she is literally taking 30 secs occasionally on each side. Before this 7 feeds a day averaging 6 mins a side. Health visitor said she may just have a smaller appetite too with being ill. I'm so stressed and it's making me feel sick. She won't take a bottle of frozen expressed either. Thinking we might go up to kids hospital.

Did anyone feel rough on/off prior to getting a postive test?

I have been feeling dizzy/bad headache/burning sinus here and there for a while now. It felt like my body was fighting something off. That has been for the past 7 days then all the sudden i had a tickly cough and got hit with flu like pains followed by a strong positive.

Wondering if i've had covid all along but for some reason its only peaked now. If thats the case am i on day 0 or not?

InkyDinky10 · 17/02/2022 15:27

My DD had symptoms for a few days before and then felt really unwell the day before but tested negative. We are officially on day 2. Has anyone had antivirals? I

takeyourcanvasbag · 17/02/2022 15:29

I feel rubbish this afternoon again. Maybe I did too much. Can’t get warm.

@xx18921 I understand why you feel stressed Flowers keep offering, she probably does just want less because she’s feeling poorly.

Anyone on Day 11? I thought I was almost done yesterday evening but woke up this morning back to the original uncontrolled sneezing and constant nose-blowing headcold symptoms! LFT is still negative. Is this still covid or secondary infection I wonder?

Day 9, negative LF but nose is so blocked and sneezing so it’s obv around still !
Herani · 17/02/2022 17:56

Day 8 - symptoms improved from yesterday and have been gently pottering about in house (all other family members have just had it - I was last to get it). More light-headed than I was, but a definite improvement in cough and sore chest.....but my lungs don't seem able to keep up with me moving around, if that makes sense.

I'm now getting the anticipatory anxiety about what to do re work next week. I'm self-employed, but hate letting people down. I feel I really need to recover properly from this and don't want to rush back. I don't feel it's been like a cold, more like a virus/ flu. I'm cross with myself that I don't seem to have shaken it in a 'week' like my friends and family have been reporting.

takeyourcanvasbag · 17/02/2022 18:12

Day 7 I think, stomach has settled but I feel shivery and my temperature is high again Angry trying not to panic but it’s making me anxious. My oximeter readings are fine so hopefully it’s just a blip. Maybe I did too much yesterday.

NearlyAlwaysInsane · 17/02/2022 19:14

Day 7. Still very tired and cough every once in a while. Headache mostly gone (comes back from time to time). But weird thing is my smell has mostly gone today - taste is still normal.

It's a worry when they reduce their feeds, can you get her to sleep on you and then latch her on when sleepy, she might not resist so much then. Keep an eye on her nappies for wetness, my 1 year old was quite poorly for 3 days but did then start to perk up

Mymincepie · 17/02/2022 22:01

Still positive and still have hoarse voice and sinus symptoms and change to smell. Do you think I'm contagious if still positive at day 9/10?

SazCat · 18/02/2022 06:01

It'll be 2 weeks tonight from when my symptoms first started. Still snotty, coughing and getting breathless occasionally.
I think it can linger for quite a while!

From what I've read after the 10th day you are not contagious providing that you don't have a temperature.

Day 12- Still coughing up gunk, not sure how normal that is. Is anyone else the same?

takeyourcanvasbag · 18/02/2022 07:31

Day 8 and still have quite a productive cough. I feel ok this morning but still have an upset stomach.

It’s so random, my husband feel ill for one day and is now absolutely fine. DD1 still doesn’t seem to have caught it. Slightly wondering if she had it first and we just didn’t know!

takeyourcanvasbag · 18/02/2022 08:27

Test negative yesterday, took another one this morning and it’s got a faint line again!

Millicent2022 · 18/02/2022 09:22

It’s the gift that keeps giving !

I still have nasal congestion and gunk on day 10

SazCat · 18/02/2022 09:26

That happened to me 😕 got a negative on day 7, then a faint line the next day. In fact it got slightly darker the day after that day 9, so I did the whole 10 days isolation in the end!
takeyourcanvasbag · 18/02/2022 09:54

@SazCat oh no!

PrescriptionWine · 18/02/2022 10:07

I am on day 13. I thankfully tested negative day 5/6, but still recovering. The first 36 hours where horrendous, fever and the worst head cold, could not get out of bed, “slept” the whole time (fever sleep is not really sleeping!).

Still not quite my self, have a blocked nose and find myself feeling exhausted, had a busy couple of days WFH and ended had 11 hours sleep last night!

It’s the strangest illness I have had, comes in waves. Hoping to shake it over the weekend where I can just sit and rest as much as I need to.

No cough at all, despite being a smoker!
