Tell me your weird covid symptoms

Mine is insomnia. I am so very tired (as expected) but I can't sleep.

What other delights have people had?

I tested positive on Tuesday and have had the awful headache that nothing touches
terrible night sweats that have now thankfully stopped
my eyes hurt when i look left or right
my left shoulder the bone feels cold on the inside really weird
i am so so tired even when i go to the toilet i need a sleep
brain fogginess
no appetite having to make myself eat
tonight i have lost my sense of smell and taste it was there this morning.

Tested positive a couple of weeks or so ago. My weird symptom was on and off stomach pains that lasted for about 24 hours.

My fingertips all went numb. So weird. I was absolutely freezing cold too.

Leg pain, insomnia, nausea, off tummy.

Had 4 layers on me as I was so cold but the house was boiling, my feet were freezing for days.

Back and kidney pain
Covid tongue (give it a Google!)
Insomnia
Sore eyes
No appetite
Can only really taste garlic and oranges properly, after much experimentation

DS had “wobbly legs” and a “super heavy head”- as did my friends son.

Got positive today. Early hrs wed and Thurs I woke like 3am and couldn't get back to sleep despite yawning so much it was hurting my jaw.
Last night a eye ache type pain.
Neg this am
Early pm today felt knackered. Back ache. Shoulder ache. Just generally feel like I weigh 10 tonne to walk.
Did a test. Bright positive!

Letts see what the next few days bring.
I'm so annoyed as we planned a long walk with the kids tomorrow on the woods. Go by car and walk. But boom that's not happening now.

Oh god and my hips! My bloody hips were killing me!

Waking in the middle of the night then not being able to get back to sleep. I normally sleep like a log. Very weird and vivid dreams.

And weirdest of all, that lasted for 3 nights, was a pain in my pelvis that only occurred when I was in bed trying to sleep on my stomach. I had to take painkillers for it. This pain wasn’t present when I was standing or sitting.

Crushing period pain ...like I haven't had since I was a teenager. And soooooo much blood. Plus ear ache. ... Other than that really mild symptoms

I was double vaxxed but hadn’t been able to get my booster for long and boring reasons.

Omicron, I assume, as 99% of cases were at time I caught.

Also had it during the Alpha wave. This was more horrible in the short term, but recovery had been faster. Round 1 left me with long covid.

I’ve had all 3 vaccines, last one in October. I know where I caught it, from someone at work where it’s been rife. I’m assuming it Omicron.

Tested positive over 10 days ago awful headache at the back of my head comes and goes no smell but have taste. when i was positive coffee tasted like cigarettes

I've had three vaccines plus already had covid last summer. I have had it very mild this time, no worse than a cold (with aching ankles).

All three vax but we've never had Covid in the house to my knowledge.

Had all 3 vaccines. My booster was 29th Dec. Caught from reception age DC so can only assume omicron.

Sure it was Omicron. 2 vaccines also had covid in August. Natural immunity doesn't seem to last that long! Does anyone know, can you get the same variant twice?

Boostered in November, children have had first vaccine and were booked for their second next week. Only assume Omicron as it has absolutely swept through the DC friends and our household. Not knowingly caught it before.

Jealous of all those having vivid dreams, still can't sleep. It's almost like jet lag. One of the DC is suffering from insomnia as well.

One DC also is feeling v cold despite temp being normal and house warm.

Have to say the one thing that is good is I'm sleeping like log.
