Who else still hasn’t had it?

I’m in an are where everyone seems to have it. We’ve been out, to the pub, restaurants, both in offices where people have it. DH and I still clear. We don’t have kids in school, were quite careful in week before Christmas and work from home about half the week…

None of us in my family (London).

Sunbird24 · 10/01/2022 01:55

I haven’t. Been in the office throughout, but not going anywhere else other than the supermarket or to visit my parents as they’re my bubble - they’ve not had it either.

Glitterblue · 10/01/2022 02:05

Me, DH, our parents, my grandmother. DD had it and we didn't get it from her. We do LFTs every 2 days for work so I'm pretty sure we've not had it and been asymptomatic.

I'm praying I don't get it in the next 2 weeks because I'm having major surgery in 2 weeks.

SummerLovin2022 · 10/01/2022 06:23

Myself, DH and three children, 9,12 and 13 haven't had Covid.

Lulu1919 · 10/01/2022 06:35

Not me ...TA
Not my husband either

Moomarre · 10/01/2022 06:48

As far as we know no one in my household has had it yet. Feels like a bit of a waiting game tbh

CoverYourselfInChocolateGlory · 10/01/2022 06:57

I either had it really early on, or have not had it (at least not symptomatically). Neither has my immediate family. Lots of people in my extended family and social circle have, however. In 2020 I knew a few people who had it very seriously indeed (hospital for weeks), and one neighbour in his 90s died from it. Recently most I know who have had it have not been very ill at all. Just a cold/tiredness and loss of taste/smell for a few days, then fine.

PhilCornwall1 · 10/01/2022 07:02

I've not had it. My OH and youngest son have. I'm supposed to be CEV and have a shot immune system. Nobody isolated here, so I was around both that had it.

Mamabear12 · 10/01/2022 07:08

We managed to avoid it....until now (just got it), even with 2 kids in primary school and a 2 year old going to creche. But then my son got it when he saw a friend who got it two days later. And then my dd and then me. No avoiding it I think when one of your kids have it lol. But I am surprised we lasted this long avoiding it. As we went about our normal activities.

NotTerfNorCis · 10/01/2022 07:11

My OH and I haven't had it. We both work from home. We do go out to pubs and restaurants a couple of times a week but don't run many risks outside of that.

aramox1 · 10/01/2022 07:19

Me, ds and most of my colleagues all had it, still negative

THisbackwithavengeance · 10/01/2022 07:57

No one in my immediate family has had despite nearly everyone else we know having had it at some point. Some people we know have been really ill as well which is worrying.

It feels weird really- like we are just waiting to get it but then we've probably had it but just didnt know.

DD and I were down over Xmas with mild symptoms but PCR was negative so was just a common cold/cough.

AlbertBridge · 10/01/2022 08:34

DH has had it. DS1 has had it. I've been slapdash AF about disinfecting stuff, hand washing etc, and haven't had it. I had a really horrible cold over NY but every daily LFT and a PCR were negative. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hairbrush123 · 10/01/2022 08:51

Me. I’ve been living my life as I did in 2019 (eating out, shopping, travelling internationally) and I have not caught it. My DH caught it but I could not for the life of me catch it

Unanananana · 10/01/2022 09:18

Myself, DP (doesn't live with us), my two DC (different schools) haven't had it as far as we know. We've all been close contacts at work/school with cases but still not caught it. DP and I are triple jabbed, DD13 has had two and DS is only 11 so not eligible for jabs yet.

Baffled as to how we've avoided it tbh, and grateful we have. DP and I work out of home, sometimes with prolonged contact with others in less than 2m distance. We wear masks all the time at work, but they don't stop you catching it.

Both my best friends have had in, one of them twice, and it spread to both their entire households.

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 11/01/2022 09:11

I spoke too soon, 5yr old daughter tested positive. Gah!

GypsyWanderer · 11/01/2022 09:18

I’m starting to think me and DH have immunity in some way and have been reading about T cells which is interesting. We’re double vaxxed but not boostered yet and in the last 3 months we’ve had covid in the house 3 times. We’re a family of 6 and all the kids have had it. Last month 3 of the kids had it at once. We haven’t isolated or done anything different within the household so I don’t get why we haven’t caught it except to say we must have some kind of immunity in some way.

Iggly · 11/01/2022 09:21

None of us have had it. But looking back - I wonder if we’ve done a PCR test too soon (this was before LFTs were around) and only did the one PCR.

I did have an antibody test in the summer - no antibodies. So I don’t think I’ve had it, despite thinking I may have back in late 2019 when a work colleague came back from China and most of the team got very ill shortly after 😂

blobby10 · 11/01/2022 10:42

Even if the official figures are doubled it still means over 40 million people in the UK haven't had Covid including me. My two eldest children have had it despite both being vaccinated, eldest felt worse after the vaccine than when he tested positive. Middle child had yucky head cold and slight fever - he caught it from a London pub and work. Youngest is in healthcare and student setting, testing several times a week, fully vaccinated, been a close contact numerous times but never tested positive. OH had it October 2020 and at its worst had mild breathing issues when climbing the stairs, fully vaccinated now.

MangoLipstick · 11/01/2022 10:46

As far as I know, I’ve not had it, nor my DH. Quite a few family members have also not had it yet.
My parents had it earlier in the year and were Ill for a couple of weeks with it but my brother who lives with them was fine.
