I have seen a number of hospital trusts have declared this today. What does this actually mean and how does it affect us? Boris didn’t seem to be bothered by this should we be?

@justasking111

Friends in Ireland pay the GP €60 a visit. I can see this coming about
i thought it was free for over 65s and if you have some sort of GP medical card, its free? and its available to all citizens registered to live there.

@Bleddyansum

Boris stood in our parliament and said “Our NHS is not for sale”

Yet another lie…

What difference does it make though? GPSs are a business contracted by the NHS.

The difference is that your taxpayer £££ go to fund GPs hired by US conglomerates, so they will push for higher prices (for higher profit margins) which means a poorer outcome for all UK folks in the aggregate.

@Alexandra2001

Well as we had the same issues with bed blocking, patients waiting in corridors, ambulances stuck in line outside A&E; during that same period. It very much supports the fact that the amount of extra money being spent isn't helping

No we didn't, that was Thatcher, obv took time to fix the mess they left the NHS but by the mid '2000s the NHS was in good shape, by 2009, NHS had the highest scores ever recorded by the public.

We were doing deals to farm out patients abroad as far back as the early noughties I recall

err when Labour were in power.....

Also do remember not all of the EU provide free healthcare. Some require you to have a medical insurance policy. Also a number of EU Countries collect taxation in different ways. As example a friend of mine moved to Italy with his Italian wife couple of years back. Was speaking to him just before Christmas, the cost per litre of fuel varied between £1.80 and £2

Again rubbish, its 1:72 EUROS which is £1.44 (petrol) prices have been falling since the Autumn.

Its a condition of EU membership to have a free healthcare service.

2009 there were Ambulances stacked up outside A&E with special measure across many hospitals due to a swine flu epidemic.

If you are suggesting that Labours plan to pay for private hospital treatment in other Countries is a good idea, then frankly you are barmy,

To claim you know better about fuel prices in Italy than a Man who lives there is absurd.

Lastly, do your research. Not all EU Countries have an entirely free Health Service. Some of them require residents to have their own health insurance.

My local hospital has closed their staff canteen to make room for more covid beds

But doctor surgeries aren’t NHS.

very very few and not for 10 or 15hrs.

the tories were sending patients to france pre brext....

these things are monitored international....

nope, its a condition of membership, transition only

Can you tell me how long in eg 2009 were ambulances waiting to unload patients?

The fact that both Conservative & Labour decided paying foreign hospitals to provide healthcare is moot. The fact is that it is barmy decision.

Fuel prices monitored internationally??? Fuel Stations in the UK have been running a semi fuel cartel for years. Hence why the price of eg esso petrol can be different prices in different areas of the UK.

Tell me, how long has Holland as example been a member of the EU?

Do some proper research and then come back and tell us all what is really happening. As my name suggests...You are fake news.
