I’m just not doing this

I just can’t. My DD has just started to get better from the hideous anxiety she suffered after the last lockdown/ home school. I am about to see my parents who I’ve not seen in two years . A circuit breaker will just turn in to another lockdown. I can’t sit and watch our town turn back in to a bleak ghost town. Boarded up cafes and shops as yet another business fails. Being shouted at in supermarkets for turning the wrong way by accident. Why the hell if the NHS is so unfit for purpose and so easily overwhelmed don’t the idiots in charge inject some cash in to it pronto. Recruit more staff, throw up some temporary buildings. Just bloody well get on with it. They’ve had plenty of time now to get organised. Stop workers having to keep isolating when they get it. Unless people are actually ill we should be in work. We have to see that this is just wrong now. It has to stop. Enough

If life really, really upsets you in the UK then just emigrate? That's what millions of people from developing countries do all the time. They are not happy with the standard of living in their own country so they decide to give up everything for a better life elsewhere. Some language barriers, loneliness but most eventually end up happy and their children grow up with far more opportunities than if they had stayed in their home country.

Not much point sitting and whinging tbh. There are always options to change your life if circumstances feel out of control. Many Asian countries have near-zero covid. Lots of english speaking countries have lower numbers too.

@Watapalava is back. I guess lockdown is definitely round the corner if you’re posting again 🧐

I assumed you’d name changed, been banned or used some other accounts instead 👋🏼

Watapalava · 20/12/2021 00:16

thewise - i've actually been posting daily, you must have missed it with all the other posts which, these days, seem to have same opinion as me.

The 'i love lockdowns' mantra is now the minor voice - which is saying something on covid boards!

Maddywencelas · 20/12/2021 00:37

The over simplified logic of some people does seem to suggest their kids would be better taught in schools. That much is true.

You’re right, there’s that many posting with agendas at the moment I just didn’t notice you amidst all the noise that often looks identical to your style.

To be fair I only ever call out the anti restrictions echo chambers en masse, my IQ would halve if I actually read each of those tantrum posts 😆

bumbleymummy · 20/12/2021 01:57

@Peekapopple it sucks. I completely understand where you’re coming from irt your DD. I’m not sure why people have become so unsympathetic. Let’s hope that the data improves in the coming days and we don’t have to resort to more restrictions. SA looks promising. Flowers

Sounds a bit like the patients I get in A&E who "can't wait" to be seen/treated.

Ok then, don't.
Whatever
