Let’s do this ting.

I was on the quayside at Newcastle, walking across the new Millennium bridge for the first time, watching the firework display and singing and dancing the night away at the outside party.
I remember it was strangely mild - T shirt weather with so many people around, and all the jumping up and down.
Great night.

Ah, I remember it well. My lovely husband and I got married in 1999 and bought out first home in the November so it was a really special time. I too was so slim back then with curves in all the right places. Thought I was overweight at the time but with hindsight, I most definitely wasn't. We went to a party at my mum and dad's. I remember we walked home but I couldn't manage the 25 minute walk in my heels so my mum lent me a pair of her trainers! Must have looked great with tights, an A line velvet mini and lacy top! I remember we stood hugging looking up at the sky and it was just filled with fireworks. It felt magical and like we were part of something monumental. Happy Times.

I love how many of us had silver dresses! No wonder it was so easy to lose all your friends on a night out, we all looked the same Grin

I am 15 and my biggest concern is if my parents got me the right sims expansion pack for me. And then excitement of playing all day Boxing Day.

But this has reminded me of hair mascara, those hair metal jewel things and Smirnoff ice (didn't like breezers!). My should even made it onto Xmas TOTP 1999. Think it was to Tom and Cerys! I also went to see the Spice Girls at Earls Court around that time. Think I'll happily go back!

Can't understand all the nostalgia for 1999, that was only a couple of years ago surely?! ;)

(where have 2 decades gone and misses the 90's terribly!).

The millennium bridge wasn't put in place until November 2000?
