Wiped out after covid booster

Has anyone else felt wiped out after their covid booster? I had it 6 days ago now and am still exhausted. I napped for an hour both afternoons this weekend! I had the usual sore arm and felt very achey the day after, but am wondering if this fatigue is connected. I've had Pfizer every time and am in my 40s (healthcare worker so testing weekly and def not covid)

I had no issues. My first 2 were AZ and I think my booster was Pfizer. I'm not particularly healthy and I'm a fair bit older than you Xmas Shock

Firefliess · 05/12/2021 23:40

I slept for 10 hours the night after I had it, which is unusual for me. But since then only a sore arm. 6 days of fatigue does sound worse than most people seem to get. Hope you feel better soon

Bubblecap · 06/12/2021 02:32

We felt really tired for two days after our booster on Tuesday. .

gofg · 06/12/2021 02:44

I've had no issues at all (had my booster on Friday) after any of my three Pfizer jabs.

lisaandalan · 06/12/2021 04:18

Everyone I know who has had the booster except the Pfizer has been rough. X

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 06/12/2021 04:20

It's now been two weeks since I had my Moderna booster and I'm only just starting to pick up. My arm was painful for a solid week too.

contactornotthatisthequestion · 06/12/2021 04:45

had mine today. had az for 1st 2 and pfizer now and its 12 hours later and im awake as in agony. temp is 38.7, hot to touch but shivering like nothing ive know and this is making me curl up into a ball but i have back issues so cant literally move.
im on tramadol, pregabalin, paras and using a lidocaine patch but still crying at the slightest movement.
was the same with the 1st 2 tbh and its almost making me not want anymore, id rather do the isolations
i hope this makes sense as due to the aforementioned meds it quite possibly may not......

BringMeTea · 06/12/2021 08:38

Gosh I hope you feel better soon Flowers

threebillboards · 06/12/2021 09:13

I felt quite washed out too after the booster and my arm hurt for a week

FinallyHere · 06/12/2021 09:45

I'm sorry you feel wiped out, hope you feel better soon.

Moderna for the third, after two AZ's, all a complete non event, almost as if they injected water instead of the vaccine.

VittysCardigan · 06/12/2021 09:47

Had the Moderna on Thursday, spent Friday & Saturday in bed with flu type symptoms. Still absolutely wiped out.

Seeline · 06/12/2021 09:51

I was really poorly for about a week with first AZ, but fine with te second.

Booster Pfizer again had me poorly for a couple for days and really tired for about a week.

HalfWomanHalfMincePie · 06/12/2021 09:53

Purely anecdotally, almost everyone I know whose had their booster has felt rough after it. Often despite having no problem with the first two vaccines.

Cyrilgoggin · 06/12/2021 09:54

I was absolutely fine, as was my DH. All jabs Pfizer.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 06/12/2021 09:55

Yep, I had two AZ vaccines and a Pfizer booster. Very painful arm, sweating, shivering, painful skin, absolute whopper of a headache which lasted way longer than the other symptoms. Weird blood pressure. Also exhausted.
However, I do have Crohn's disease so my immune system is already buggered.

PappaPaddy · 06/12/2021 09:56

I had mine last Tuesday, and I've been absolutely drained since. The first 2 I had no problem at all. The booster it's been tough. I had Pfizer for all 3.
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope everyone else does too.

almahart · 06/12/2021 09:56

I was very ill after my moderna booster - achey legs, unable to get out of bed but only for a couple of days

Twickerhun · 06/12/2021 09:57

I had a Pfizer booster last week after two AZ vaccines and I felt rubbish after the booster for 48 hours. Sore arm, headache cold or flu like symptoms... and tired.

FluffyBooBoo · 06/12/2021 09:58

I was tired for a couple of days after my booster (moderna), similar to how I was after my second Pfizer dose. I also had an enlarged lymph node under my arm that was annoying, but less so than after my second jag.

I hope you pick up soon, op.

wetpebbles · 06/12/2021 09:58

I've had a thumping headache and a huge red painful lump on my arm since booster last Thursday

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/12/2021 09:59

I was also wiped out for a week. Mine was Moderna.

I was also wiped out for a week after each AZ.

foreverandalways · 06/12/2021 10:00

I had my moderna booster two weeks ago and it completely floored me....my husband said he's never seen me so unwell....extreme flu symptoms....took COVID test ...negative.....still have a cold and exhaustion is an understatement....

Double3xposure · 06/12/2021 10:00

YesI felt more tired that usual for a week or so. But I had the flu vaccine at the same time so it could be either of them.

However it was a small inconvenience compared to either the flu or covid, so I’m very grateful to have been given these vaccines.

Thanks to the NHS and scientists / researchers.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 06/12/2021 10:03

My DM said she suddenly felt exhausted the day after her booster (Pfizer). She was absolutely fine the next day, but it must have been quite marked, because she never complains of feeling ill or tired. She had no ill effects from the previous vaccinations.

IamEarthymama · 06/12/2021 10:15

DW and I had Moderna booster on Saturday.
Fine all that day, though our arms were sore, but yesterday we were sweating while feeling freezing cold and the vice versa, both randomly sneezing and coughing, aching and falling asleep if we sat down.
Everything tasted metallic to me while DW has had several nose bleeds.

I have swopped work today with a colleague and DW is still in bed, feeling awful.

Ii had covid in March 2020, was quite poorly but luckily not hospitalised, though left with long covid. I was fluey after first jab, ok after 2nd.
I had Covid for the 2nd time 2 months ago as did DW. We both had Novid quite badly beforehand too.

I worked for over 20 years with young children and caught everything they did so I am not surprised that I have had these reactions. ☺️

I do not want to have Covid again, it's not nice at all. I wear a mask in public places and wash my hands frequently.

I think and hope I will be fine by tomorrow. My feet are like ice today so I am just going to find some thick socks and to fill a hot water bottle.

I hope everyone feels better soon. 💐
