I know it’s very very very faint and I’m not even sure it’s there. Photo taken 18 minutes after a 15 minutes test. What do you think??

@StuckInARug

You know what, there’s no line on the NHS LFTs but the fit to fly one has the very faint line. I think I agree with INeednewshoes it’s possible that it’s where the paper changes - that’s exactly what my husband said.

The same day PCR where I live is £169, not sure what to do! 😫

Do another, with no swabbing, just the liquid, and see why the line looks like, for comparison.
Sally872 · 02/12/2021 12:50

Did you time it? If after the time 15 or 30 min has passed it doesn't count as positive. Check instructions.

ComeAllYeFaithful · 02/12/2021 12:55

That’s negative.

Mummy7777 · 02/12/2021 13:09

I cannot see any lines on either and I've seen positive results.

Almostmenopausal · 02/12/2021 13:13

If this was a pregnancy test, I'd be assuming positive. You can invert the image to get a better view?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 02/12/2021 13:13

id say negative

Almostmenopausal · 02/12/2021 13:15

Here. I've changed the lighting & saturation etc. Second line highly visible

junebirthdaygirl · 02/12/2021 13:17

My positive showed very clear line with absolutely no doubt. I don't think that's positive

LadyCampanulaTottington · 02/12/2021 13:17

I could see the line in the second one before you inverted it. I think you need to get a PCR OP.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 02/12/2021 13:17

oh ok now i see it

Frazzled2207 · 02/12/2021 13:18

I think the faint line you can see is just whatever is there to show a coloured line.

As with a pregnancy test I was under the impression that the line needed to be coloured not just a shadow.

Anyway you are good to be getting a pcr. Fingers crossed for negative.

Thisisconfusing · 02/12/2021 13:19

I can definitely see a faint line I’m afraid . I would say this is a positive LFT. We all use flow flex regularly in this house and don’t get the watermark others are describing ( and we are thorough at doing them) . Terrible timing 😢

Almostmenopausal · 02/12/2021 13:20

Slightly more visible here

authenticforgery · 02/12/2021 13:20

I think it's positive. I don't know why people think it has to be as dark as the control line. This was my sons positive. I'd be getting a pcr.

On my way to the test centre to beg for a same day PCR as there are no bookings online. Flight is 11am tomorrow.

Good luck! I hate this bloody virus.
lulalalala · 02/12/2021 13:26

Prior to having COVID I did a LTF and couldn't work out if there was a super faint line. I was holding it up to the light and everything for a good 5 mins to work out if it was or not. Couple of days later did another LTF and it came up positive after 10 mins. Got a PCR the next day and results in 16 hours later. Positive for COVID!

If you are uncertain I'd just get the PCR test done!!

nitsandwormsdodger · 02/12/2021 13:27

Slightest of shadows but NOT a positive

SpritzingAperol · 02/12/2021 13:30

When my son had Covid his lateral flows just produced dark lines really quickly. As clear as you like. I don't think that line is anything to go by.

Do another one OP.

SpritzingAperol · 02/12/2021 13:31

Seen you are getting a PCR good luck OP.

Cornettoninja · 02/12/2021 13:35

good luck @StuckInARug. What utterly shit timing for you Sad

Mummy7777 · 02/12/2021 13:39

That's not a positive. My husband just recently had covid and his line was strong and remained strong after 15 mins.

StuckInARug · 02/12/2021 13:56

Managed to do the PCR!!! They allowed me to do it today even with a booking for tomorrow!! Will update the thread when I’ve got the results.
